GENERAL DESCRIPTIO N

Ace Backstage Co. Inc.’s Super Double capacity Horizontal
Panel Pockets offer a rugged welded steel construction and

durable nishes with a detachable trim bezel-lid, horizontal
panel mounting brackets with included back boxes. Super
Double Wide Pockets provide more than twice the capacity
of our Double Wide vertical pockets in the same space.

The Super Double Wide Pocket is the same size as the ACE
Double Wide Pocket with Back Box except it provides almost
2 times the connectivity capacity using a HORIZONTAL
PANEL design. The basic construction incorporates 3 sub­assemblies. A unique Trim Bezel-Lid assembly with spring
loaded blind hinge pins and hinged cableway slot closure
that mounts directly to the ACE #104BBX Back Box. As­sembled in the Back Box is a set of panel mounting and AC
barrier isolation raceway brackets (#BRK104).

Ready

is designed for high capacity connectivity. In less than two
square feet (10.5”x18.5”) the Super Double Wide Pocket
provides abundant panel space for up to 48 “Connectrix”
connectors*. This large connectivity capacity is possible

using a Horizontal Panel Design and a set of panel mounting
brackets. Generous combination conduit knockouts on four

sides provides in-out-and-thru ways for both low voltage

and AC electric cabling.

The Super Double Wide Pocket panel system is unique and
exible. Use any combination of standard ACE CNC ma­chined panels designed for ACE Stage Pockets or choose a
custom layout made to order aluminum “Connectrix” panel.
Generous clearances above and below the panel(s) permit
easy termination and access to an array of audio, video,
data, communication and control connections.

FEATURES

• EXTRA DOUBLE LARGE CAPACITY: The Super Double
Wide Stage Pocket accomodates #PNL-100 Series Panels,
#PSW-100 Series Panels, #PNL-120 Series Panels, and
#PNL-140 Series Panels in an interchangeable multi-panel
system making for easy custom congurations. Two (2)
optional #PNL-140 Series Panels, eight (8) optional
#PNL-100 Series Panels or four (4) optional #PNL-120
Series Panels will mount up to 48 “Connectrix”, Neutirk®,
and/or Switchcraft® type connectors*. Eight (8) optional
#PSW-100 Series Panels will mount up to 24 Switchcraft®

type connectors.

• DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: Welded steel construction

of Super Double Wide Stage Pocket Lid, Mounting Flange,
and Pocket Body resist bending under even the most severe
stage loads. The Trim Bezel Mounting Flange is made from
1/8” (nominally 11 ga. (.120”)) thick CRS steel, the Lid is
made from 10 ga. (nominally .135”) thick CRS steel, and
the Pocket Body Back Box is made from 14 ga. (.071”)
thick CRS steel.

• SPRING LOADED HINGE PINS: Removable spring

loaded hinge pins permit easy exchange of lids for Carpet
Lid (CL), Locking Lid (LL), Standard Lid (SL) and other

custom application lids.

The Trim Bezel assembly is a heavy duty welded 11 gauge
(.120 thick) steel or solid brass assembly (Lid is 10 gauge
(.135 thick) steel. Each Bezel is available with either a at
ush standard lid (SL) or a recessed carpet lid (CL). Steel

• CABLE WAY SLOTS: Generous 3/8” x 16” Cable Way
Slots permit easy cable exit from pocket(s), even for large
gauge cables. Cable Way Slot Closures close channels when

slot is not in use.

Bezels with ush at lids come in 2 oven cured powder
coat decorator nishes: antique copper vein and textured
black. Solid Brass Trim Bezel Lid assembly has a brushed
nish and is available on a special order basis. The in-oor
appearance is the same as the Double Wide Pocket.

• EASY INSTALLATION: Easy installation into 10” x 18”
rectangular cutout in stage oor. Open easy access from
the top of the stage pocket allows simple connector/panel

terminations.

Flanges are made of 1/8” (nominally 11 ga. (.120”)) thick
CRS steel, the Lid is made from 10 ga. (nominally .135”)
thick CRS steel, and the Super Double Wide Stage Pocket
Body Back Box is made from 14 ga. (.071”) thick CRS
steel. The exception to this is the Brass Super Double Wide
Stage Pocket Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange which is
made of 1/8” (nominally 11 ga. (.120”)) thick Half Hard

Solid Brass.

FINISHES

wear resistant nish, oven cured powder coat electro-static
applied inside and outside the entire Trim Bezel Lid and
Mounting Flange assembly. Decorator neutral Antique
Copper Vein and Textured Black nishes are standard.
A Solid Brass Trim Bezel Lid and Mounting Flange with a
brushed nish is also available by special order*.

The “CONNECTRIX” system connectors may be used in
any of the “CONNECTRIX” system panels utilizing our
“CONNECTRIX” cutout which incorporates the popular
mounting pattern of the Neutrik “D” and Switchcraft “E”
series mounting patterns. Connectors using the generous
rectangular “CONNECTRIX” cutout will add to a growing ar­ray of adapter-mounted standard connectors. The adapter
mount is plastic and provides ground isolation between the

panel and connector.

number (#PNL-100 Series, #PNL-120 Series, or #PNL-140
Series) the connectors will be loaded into. NOTE: Specic
High Density (HD) and Sub-D pattern connectors will re­quire either 2 or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Horizontal Spaces or 2
or 3 “CONNECTRIX” Vertical Spaces, depending on connec­tors selected. Connectors may be loaded into panels with

nutcerts and nut/bolts or black aluminum pop rivets.
