Jeder Alkoholtester, der bei ACE Instruments gekauft wurde, kann auch von ACE Instruments kalibriert werden. Selbstverständlich kalibrieren wir auch Geräte, die woanders gekauft wurden, sofern diese Geräte baugleich zu den von ACE Instruments vertriebenen Geräten sind. Sie sehen das Fälligkeitsdatum der nächsten Kalibrierung am Kalibrier-Aufkleber auf Ihrem Alkoholtester. Wenn der Aufkleber fehlt, dann sollte die Kalibrierung 6 Monate nach dem Kaufdatum erfolgen: z.B. Kaufdatum:

13.05. = nächste Kalibrierung am 13.11. und danach am

13.05. des folgenden Jahres. Sie können das Gerät zum Kalibrieren an die unter www.alkomat.net angegebene Service-Adresse senden.

Warum ist eine Kalibrierung notwendig?

Die Kalibrierung muss nicht zwingend vorgenommen werden, die Genauigkeit des integrierten Sensors nimmt jedoch ohne Kalibrierung stetig ab und zusätzlich erlischt die Garantie, wenn die Kalibrier-Intervalle nicht eingehalten werden.

Welche Faktoren die Messgenauigkeit beeinﬂussen

Je öfter das Alkoholtestgerät verwendet wird, desto

stärker verschiebt sich der Nullpunkt.

Bei hohen Alkoholkonzentrationen verschiebt sich

der Nullpunkt verstärkt.

Bei wenig bis gar nicht genutzten Geräten nimmt die

Empﬁndlichkeit des Sensors ebenso ab.

ACE Instruments empﬁehlt, mindestens ein Mal (1x) pro Woche einen Test mit dem Alkoholtester durchzuführen, unabhängig davon, ob man Alkohol getrunken hat. Zum Erhalt der Messgenauigkeit sollte das Gerät außerdem regelmäßig kalibriert werden.

Wichtige Hinweise zur Testdurchführung und zur Selbsteinschätzung

Nach dem letzten Schluck Alkohol sollte man mindestens 15 Minuten warten, da sich noch Restalkohol in der Mundhöhle beﬁnden kann, der das Messergebnis beeinﬂusst. Rauchen sollte vor einem Test ebenso vermieden werden, da Zigarettenrauch dem Sensor schadet.

Für jeden Test sollte man ein neues Mundstück verwenden – nicht nur aus hygienischen Gründen, sondern auch, weil ein bereits benutztes Mundstück das nächste Messergebnis beeinﬂussen kann. Im Mundstück könnte sich Restalkohol beﬁnden, der bei einem erneuten Gebrauch desselben Mundstückes das neue Testergebnis beeinﬂusst (damit würde z.B. bei einer nüchternen Person eventuell eine Alkoholisierung angezeigt werden).

Wenn am Display „FLOW“ bzw. „FLo“ angezeigt wird, dann war die abgegebene Atemprobe nicht ausreichend oder sie wurde zu früh beendet. Pusten Sie bei Ihrer Atemprobe zirka 4 Sekunden konstant und am besten so, als ob Sie ohne Ton pfeifen würden. Die Atemprobe ist beendet, sobald ein zweifacher Piepton zu hören ist.

Wenn dieselbe Person 2 Tests hintereinander ausführt, dann sollte sie zwischen den beiden Tests mindestens 3 Minuten warten, da bei zu kurzer Wartezeit zu unterschiedliche Messwerte angezeigt werden können. Die aus der Lunge ausgeatmete Luft ist nach einem Test nicht mehr mit dem gleichen Alkoholgehalt angereichert wie beim kurz davor durchgeführten Test. Darum wird ein sofortiger zweiter Test einen geringeren Messwert anzeigen.

Alle mit diesem Alkoholtester ermittelten Messwerte sind stets nur ein Richtwert und nicht rechtsverbindlich.

Warum die gefühlte Alkoholisierung und das Messergebnis oft nicht übereinstimmen (können)

Bei einem Alkoholtest gibt es sehr viele verschiedene Faktoren, die die Höhe des Messwertes beeinﬂussen. Dazu zählen neben dem Geschlecht, Alter, der Körpergröße und dem Körpergewicht auch der Körperfettanteil sowie die Höhe des Anteils an Körperﬂüssigkeit.

Darüber hinaus ist auch der allgemeine physische und psychische Zustand bzw. die jeweilige Tagesverfassung zu berücksichtigen. Außerdem können die Art der Mahlzeiten vor dem Test (Art des Inhalts und Füllstand des Magens) und die Einnahme von Medikamenten den Messwert beeinﬂussen.

Zu den weiteren Einﬂuss-Faktoren gehören natürlich die Getränkeart (Prozentanteil des Alkoholgehaltes im Getränk sowie dessen Kohlensäure- und Zuckergehalt), die Trinkgeschwindigkeit und die von der Testperson abhängige, individuelle Dauer in Bezug auf den Alkohol-Aufbau bzw. den Alkohol-Abbau im Körper.

Manche Menschen haben schnell einen erhöhten Alkoholgehalt im Blut, bei anderen dauert es länger bis eine Alkoholisierung feststellbar ist. Etwa 40-50% des konsumierten Alkohols beﬁnden sich innerhalb von 15 Minuten im Körper, nach 30 Minuten sind es 65% und nach spätestens 70 Minuten ist der zuvor konsumierte Alkohol zu 100% im Körper aufgenommen. Zu beachten ist dabei aber auch, dass manche Menschen – teils genetisch bedingt – den Alkoholgehalt im Blut schnell wieder abbauen, wogegen andere auch nach einem längeren Zeitraum noch einen erhöhten Alkoholgehalt im Blut aufweisen.

Each breathalyzer which you buy from ACE Instruments can also be calibrated by ACE Instruments. Of course, we also calibrate devices which were bought from other contractors, as long as these devices are identical in construction to the devices sold by ACE Instruments. You can see the due date of the next calibration on the calibration sticker placed on your breathalyzer. If the sticker is missing, the calibration is to be done 6 months after the purchase date: e.g. purchase date:

Why is a calibration necessary?

The calibration is not mandatory, but the accuracy of the sensor installed in the breathalyzer will decrease steadily without a calibration and additionally guarantee expires, if you don`t pay attention to the calibration ranges.

Which factors inﬂuence the measurement accuracy

The more often the device is used the more the zero

point is inﬂuenced.

The higher the alcohol concentration is, the more the

zero point is relocated.

Devices which are used rarely have a decreased

sensibility, too.

ACE Instruments recommends using the breathalyzer at least once (1x) a week independently of having drunken alcohol or not. To maintain the measurement accuracy, the breathalyzer should also be calibrated periodically.

Important notes on test execution and self-assessment

After the last sip of alcohol you should wait at least 15 minutes, as there may still be residual alcohol in the oral cavity, which inﬂuences the measurement result. Also smoking should be avoided before a test, as cigarette smoke harms the sensor.

For each test you should use a new mouthpiece – not only for hygienic reasons, but also because an already used mouthpiece can inﬂuence the next measurement result. The mouthpiece could contain residual alcohol, which would aﬀect the new test result when the same mouthpiece is used again (this for example could show an alcoholization of a person who hasn`t drunken any alcohol).

If „FLOW“ or „FLo“ appears on the display, the given breath sample was insuﬃcient or ended too soon. Blow into the moutpiece for about 4 seconds constantly (without a break) – preferably as if you were whistling without a sound.

If the same person performs 2 tests consecutively, then wait at least 3 minutes between the two tests, as a too short waiting time may cause diﬀerent measurement results. The air exhaled from the lungs is, after a test, no longer enriched with the same alcohol content as in the previous test. Therefore, an immediate second test will indicate a lower test result.

All measured values determined with this breathalyzer are always indicative and not legally binding.

Why the estimated alcoholization and the measurement result in most cases cannot match

An alcohol test is aﬀected by a lot of diﬀerent factors which also aﬀect the test result. Beside the gender, age, body size and body weight, also the body fat percentage and the amount of body ﬂuid have a big inﬂuence.

In addition, the general physical and mental state or the current daily constitution have to be taken into consideration. Furthermore, the meals eaten before a breath test (type of content and level of the stomach) and the intake of medication may inﬂuence the measurement.

Other inﬂuencing factors are, of course, the type of drink (percentage of alcohol content in the beverage and its carbon dioxide and sugar content), the drinking rate and the individual subject‘s duration of alcohol build-up or degradation in the body.

Some people quickly have a high alcohol content in the blood, with other people it takes longer until an alcoholization is detected. About 40-50% of the consumed alcohol is in the body within 15 minutes, after 30 minutes it is 65% and after 70 minutes the previously consumed alcohol is 100% absorbed in the body. However, it should also be noted that some people – partly due to genetic factors – quickly reduce the alcohol content in the blood, whereas others still have an increased alcohol content in the blood after a longer period of time.

Einführung

Vielen Dank für den Kauf unseres Alkoholtesters ACE A! Er ist ein leicht bedienbares Alkoholmessgerät mit elektrochemischem Sensor. Das Gerät misst die Alkoholkonzentration in der Atemluft und berechnet daraus die Blutalkoholkonzentration. Dieses Gerät liefert Testergebnisse mit einer Messtoleranz von +/- 0,075‰ (Promille) beim Referenzwert von 1,00 Promille und 25°C Umgebungstemperatur. Die Messeinheit ‰ (Promille) = Grundeinstellung in der EU.

Die in Promille ermittelten Messergebnisse werden als 3-stelliger Zahlenwert mit 2 Dezimalstellen angezeigt und sind 1:1 interpretierbar (z.B. das Display zeigt den Wert 0,36 = 0,36 Promille). Messwerte in % BAC werden 4-stellig mit 3 Dezimalstellen angezeigt.

Der im Alkoholtester integrierte elektrochemische Sensor kann kalibriert werden. Zur Erhaltung der Messgenauigkeit dieses Gerätes und der Sensor-Garantie empfehlen wir eine regelmäßige Kalibrierung. Das Gerät darf nur in Übereinstimmung mit den Anweisungen in der Bedienungsanleitung verwendet werden. Alle durch dieses Alkoholtestgerät ermittelten Messwerte dienen stets nur als Anhaltspunkt und sind nicht rechtsverbindlich. Atemtests sollten unter Verwendung von aufsteckbaren Mundstücken durchgeführt werden (pro Test sollte aus hygienischen Gründen und zur Vermeidung von verfälschten Messwerten ein neues Mundstück verwendet werden).

Hinweis zu länderspeziﬁschen Messeinheiten

Kunden in UK erhalten den Alkoholtester mit der Grundeinstellung mg/L, Kunden in den USA mit der Grundeinstellung % BAC. Bitte informieren Sie sich bei Bedarf über die aktuellen länderspeziﬁschen Alkoholgrenzen, welche zum Beispiel auf der Website des Verkehrsministeriums oder von Automobilclubs erhältlich sind.

A) Warten Sie nach dem letzten Schluck Alkohol mindestens

15 Minuten bis zum Alkoholtest. Essen, trinken und rauchen Sie während dieser Zeit nicht.

B) Öﬀnen Sie das Gehäuse nicht. C) Bewahren Sie den Alkoholtester nicht an einem kalten oder

heißen oder feuchten oder schlecht belüfteten Platz auf.

D) Bewahren Sie den Alkoholtester außerhalb der Reichweite

von Kindern auf. E) Führen Sie nach längerer Aufbewahrungszeit drei „Einlauftests“ durch, bevor Sie den eigentlichen Alkoholtest durchführen.

F) Lassen Sie den Alkoholtester nicht fallen. G) Ersetzen Sie die Batterie, wenn ihre Leistung schwach ist.

Verringerte Batteriekapazität führt zu falschen Testergebnissen. H) Führen Sie keinen Test in lauten (Schallwellen stören den Sensor), zugigen oder schlecht belüfteten Plätzen durch. I) Nach einem Testergebnis von 1,00 Promille oder höher benötigt der Sensor eine längere Erholungszeit. Warten Sie in diesem Fall mindestens drei Minuten bis zum nächsten Test. J) Führen Sie keinen Test durch in sehr kalter, sehr heißer oder unbelüfteter, rauchiger Umgebung. K) Bewahren Sie den Alkoholtester so auf, dass das Eindringen von Staub und Flüssigkeiten verhindert wird. L) Pusten Sie nicht zu stark in das Gerät, dies schadet dem Sensor (vor allem, wenn durch das Pusten viel Speichel in das

Gerät gelangt).

Vorbereitung für den Test

1. Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel (an der Rückseite des

Gerätes) nach unten (1A) und legen Sie die 2 im Lieferumfang enthaltenen AAA-Batterien (Alkaline, 1,5V) in das Batteriefach ein. Beachten Sie beim Einlegen und beim späteren Austausch von alten gegen neue Batterien die Polarität (+/-) der Batterien

(1B). Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel.

2. Stecken Sie ein Mundstück auf die seitliche Öﬀnung zum

Anbringen der Mundstücke (= die Öﬀnung an der linken Seite der Gerätefront). Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Mundstück festsitzt. Verwenden Sie für jede Testperson ein neues Mundstück (aus hygienieschen Gründen und zum Erhalt der Messgenauigkeit, da ein benutztes Mundstück im Inneren Restalkohl enthalten könnte).

Testdurchführung

1. Drücken Sie den Startknopf an der Vorderseite des Alkohol-

testers.Das Gerät piepst 1x und es wird die Anzahl aller bisher durchgeführten Tests angezeigt und zwar so lange, wie der Startknopf weiter gedrückt bleibt (Hinweis: Wenn Sie den Startknopf länger als 5 Sekunden drücken, dann schaltet sich das Gerät wieder aus). Wenn Sie den Startknopf nicht mehr drücken, dann folgt ein zweiter Pieps-Ton, am oberen Displayrand wird „WAIT“ angezeigt und es startet ein Countdown.

2. Warten Sie den am Display sichtbaren Countdown ab, das Gerät wärmt sich auf. Am Ende des Countdowns piepst das Gerät 2x und es erscheint blinkend „BLOW“ am oberen Displayrand, außerdem sind 3 horizontale Linien am linken Displayrand zu sehen.

3. Sobald „BLOW“ am Display zu sehen ist, beginnen Sie 4

Sekunden lang gleichmäßig in das zuvor angebrachte Mundstück zu pusten (atmen Sie dazu einfach langsam und ohne Unterbrechung aus, ähnlich als ob Sie pfeifen würden). Das Gerät piepst durchgehend während der Atemprobe.

4. Sobald das Piepsen aufhört und ein Klack-Ton sowie ein 2-facher Piep-Ton zu hören ist, ist der Test beendet. Wenn die Atemprobe unterbrochen wurde oder zu schwach war, dann erscheint „Flo“ am Display. Führen Sie in diesem Fall den Test erneut durch und drücken Sie dafür den Startknopf.

5. Nach einer erfolgreichen Atemprobe wertet das Gerät das Messergebnis aus. Dazu bewegen sich mehrere Linien im Uhrzeigersinn über das Display und am rechten oberen Displayrand steht „ANALYZE“. Das Messergebnis wird nach wenigen Sekunden 3-stellig (mit 2 Dezimalstellen) für 5 Sekunden in Promille, danach für 2,5 Sekunden in mg/L und danach für 2,5 Sekunden in % BAC (mit 3 Dezimalstellen) am Display angezeigt. Ist der Messwert höher als 0,5 Promille (oder je nach eingestellter Messeinheit über 0,25mg/L bzw. über 0,05% BAC), dann ertönt für ca. 10 Sekunden ein Alarmsignal.

Hinweis: Das Gerät schaltet sich nach ca. 3 Minuten automatisch ab, zusätzlich hören Sie einen Piepton und am Display wird zuerst „Out“ und danach „OFF“ angezeigt. Für einen weiteren Test drücken Sie einfach erneut den Startknopf. Sie können das Gerät auch manuell abschalten, indem Sie ca. 5 Sekunden dauerhaft den Startknopf drücken, es erscheint kurz „OFF“ am Dipslay und das Gerät wird abgeschaltet.

Benutzen Sie für jede testende Person immer ein neues Mundstück! ACE Instruments übernimmt keine Verantwortung für jegliche Schäden, die durch den Gebrauch eines Mundstückes durch mehrere Personen und für mehrere Tests entstehen können.

Benützen Sie stets die hygienisch und einzeln verpackten ACE Instruments Mundstücke. Das Testgerät kommt bei jedem Test innen und außen mit menschlichen Ausscheidungen in Kontakt (Schweiß, Speichel, Blut etc.).

Benützen Sie Handschuhe, wenn Sie die für einen Test verwendeten Mundstücke vom Gerät abnehmen, vor allem dann, wenn fremde Personen den Test durchgeführt haben. ACE Technik (www.ace-technik.de) führt in seinem Sortiment dafür geeignete Handschuhe.

Wichtige Hinweise

Wenn Sie etwas gegessen, Alkohol getrunken oder eine Zigarette geraucht haben, so warten Sie mindestens 15 Minuten bevor Sie mit der Messung beginnen. Dieser Alkoholtester ist ein hochwertiges und empﬁndliches Messgerät. Um die Messgenauigkeit des elektrochemischen Sensors aufrechtzuhalten, sollte das Gerät regelmäßig benutzt werden. Wird das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt, so kann der Sensor austrocknen. Wir empfehlen, den Alkoholtester mindestens 2x pro Monat für Alkoholtests zu verwenden (auch wenn Sie keinen Alkohol getrunken haben). Bei Messwerten unter 0,10‰ (ODER 0,001% BAC ODER 0,025mg/L – je nach Einstellung) wird das Testergebnis als 0,00 (‰ ODER mg/L ODER % BAC – je nach Einstellung) angezeigt. Dies geschieht deshalb, weil bei einem geringen Alkohollevel andere Substanzen in der Atemluft enthalten sein können, welche das Ergebnis der Atemprobe beeinﬂussen.

Selbst wenn das Gerät Alkoholisierung im „sicheren“ Bereich anzeigt, ist dies nach dem Genuss von Alkohol kein Freibrief für das Lenken eines Fahrzeuges oder eine andere Tätigkeit, die unter Alkoholeinﬂuss nicht ausgeführt werden sollte.

Der Sensor hatte nicht genügend Atemluft für eine Analyse zur Verfügung.

Sie haben innerhalb von 3 Minuten keine Atemprobe abgegeben, das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch ab.

Es kann kein Test durchgeführt werden, weil die Umgebungstemperatur außerhalb der Maximalwerte liegt.

“Err2” sagt aus, dass Flüssigkeit oder Speichel in das Gerät gelangte und der Sensor keine Auswertung durchführen kann.

Die Gesamtanzahl an durchgeführten Atemtests hat 500 erreicht. Das Gerät sollte zum Erhalt der Garantie und der Messgenauigkeit zeitnah kalibriert werden.

Drücken Sie den Startknopf und starten Sie einen neuen Test, bei dem Sie 5 Sekunden lang konstant und ohne Pause in das Mundstück pusten (pusten Sie so, als ob Sie ohne Ton pfeifen würden).

Drücken Sie den Startknopf, der Countdown beginnt erneut und es erscheint „BLOW“ am Display. Sie können jetzt einen neuen Test durchführen.

Wiederholen Sie den Test, sobald die passende Umgebungstemperatur gegeben ist (5°C bis 40°C).

Warten Sie 20 Minuten, dürcken Sie dann den Startknopf und warten Sie, bis der Countdown beendet ist und „BLOW“ am Display erscheint. Wenn “Err2” für längere Zeit erneut angezeigt wird, dann kontaktieren Sie bitte den Verkäufer Ihres Gerätes.

Kalibrierung

ACE Instruments empﬁehlt die Kalibrierung des im Gerät integrierten Sensors zirka alle 12 Monate oder nach 500 Tests (je nachdem, welches Ereignis früher eintritt). Die Kalibrierung muss nicht zwingend vorgenommen werden, die Genauigkeit des integrierten Sensors nimmt jedoch ohne Kalibrierung stetig ab und zusätzlich erlischt die Garantie für den Sensor. Sie können das Gerät zum Kalibrieren an die unter www.alkomat. net angegebene Service-Adresse senden.

Wir empfehlen die Einsendung als Paket, damit im Fall der Unauﬃndbarkeit der Abliefernachweis bzw. Nachforschungsauftrag möglich ist.

Durch Änderungen am Produkt können sich die beschriebenen Abläufe ändern. Dies kann ohne Vorankündigung und Anpassung der Bedienungsanleitung geschehen und ist kein Grund zur Reklamation, Retoure oder Preisminderung. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Anwenders, Abweichungen zwischen der Bedienungsanleitung und der tatsächlichen Bedienung dieses Atemalkoholtesters zu erkennen und entsprechend zu reagieren.

Hinweise zu den Batterien

Das Gerät, auf das sich diese Bedienungsanleitung bezieht, enthält im Auslieferungszustand 2 AAA Alkaline-Batterien. Diese Batterien sind nicht dazu bestimmt, wieder aufgeladen zu werden. Ebenso ist die Verwendung einer wiederauﬂadbaren Batterie im Gerät zu unterlassen, da sonst Schaden am Gerät entsteht. Ist die Batterie leer, so darf sie nicht in den Hausmüll geworfen werden. Batterietausch

Zum Batterietausch schieben Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung an der Rückseite des Gerätes nach unten und ersetzen Sie die entladenen Batterien gegen neue Batterien. Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien auf deren Polarität: Der Minuspol der Batterie muss mit den Federn in der Batteriemulde Kontakt haben. Legen Sie die Batteriefach-Abdeckung anschließend auf die Geräterückseite und drücken Sie den Deckel sanft auf das Gerät bis er einrastet. Batterierecycling ist die leichteste Umweltschutzübung der Welt. Die unten angezeigten Mülltonnen bedeuten, dass alte Batterien sowie Akkus nicht in den Hausmüll geworfen werden dürfen. Sollte das Produkt diese Gewährleistung nicht erfüllen, beschränkt sich der Anspruch des Käufers und die Pﬂichten der ACE Instruments ausschließlich und nach freiem Ermessen der ACE Instruments auf den Austausch oder die Reparatur der betroﬀenen Waren oder auf eine Erstattung des Kaufpreises für die beanstandeten Waren.

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing our ACE A Breathalyzer! It measures the alcohol concentration in human breath using an electrochemical sensor and calculates the blood alcohol level. The test results are very reliable and have a tolerance of +/- 0.075‰ (per mill) with reference to 1.00‰ at 25°C ambient temperature. The measurement results are displayed as a 3-digit number with 2 decimals and are interpretable 1: 1 (for example the display shows the value 0.36 = 0.36 per mill). With the measurement unit % BAC the test result is displayed with 4 digits and 3 decimals.

The fuel cell sensor inside the Breathalyzer can be calibrated. To maintain the measurement accuracy of this device and the sensor warranty, it should be calibrated regularely. For a calibration service you can send the device to the service address speciﬁed at www.alkomat.net.

The device must only be used pursuant to the instructions mentioned in this manual. All measured values determined by this breathalyzer are always a guide only and are not legally binding. Breath tests should be carried out using clip-on mouthpieces (one new mouthpiece should be used per test for reasons of hygiene and to avoid falsiﬁed readings).

Note to country-speciﬁc measurement units

Customers in the EU get the breathalyzer with ‰ (per mill) as default setting, in the UK the default setting is mg/L and in the USA it is % BAC. In the chapter „Technical data“ you will ﬁnd information about the accuracy concerning the diﬀerent measurement units. Please check e.g. the website of the department of transportation, the website of the Ministry of Transport or of automotive clubs to get informed about the current alcohol limits in your country.

L) Blowing too hard may cause damage to the sensor as saliva ﬂows into it.

Preparation for the test

1. Push the battery cover (on the back of the device) down-

wards and open it (1A). Install the 2 AAA batteries (delivered together with the device) in the battery compartment while taking note of the battery polarity (1B). Close the battery cover again.

2. Insert a mouthpiece into the slot on the left front side of the breathalyzer. Ensure whether it securely ﬁts or not. It is highly recommended to use an extra mouthpiece for every test for sanitary reasons.

Conducting the measurement

1. Push the power button on the front of the device, then you

hear one beep tone and shortly will see the number of tests performed with the device (Note: This number is only shown as long as you press the power button and if you press and hold down the power button for more than 5 seconds, the device will be turned oﬀ). If you don`t press it anymore then you hear another beep tone and see “WAIT” on the display, additionally a countdown starts.

2. Wait until the end of the countdown you hear 2 beep tones and then you see “BLOW” blinking on the display. Additionally, you see 3 horizontal lines on the left side of the display.

3. As soon as you see “BLOW” on the display start blowing steadily into the mouthpiece for 4 seconds, the device will beep constantly during the test. Tip: Blow like you would whistle without a tone (but without a break).

4. As soon as the beeping stops you hear a “clack” tone and a double beep tone (the test is ﬁnished). If the breath sample

was not suﬃcient you will see „Flo“ on the display. Push the start button and start a new test.

5. After a successful test the device is analyzing the breath sample, you see several lines moving in clockwise circles around the display. After a few seconds the test result is displayed for 5 seconds (with 3 digits and 2 decimals) in ‰, then for 2.5 seconds in mg/L (= UK setting) and then for 2.5 seconds in % BAC (with 4 digits and 3 decimals). If the test result is higher than 0.50‰ or 0.25mg/L or 0.05% BAC, then you can hear a warn signal (beep sound) for about 10 seconds.

Note: The device will turn oﬀ automatically if it is not in use for about 3 minutes, additionally you hear a beep tone and on the display you see „Out“ and afterwards „OFF“. If you want to conduct a new test, please press the power button. You can turn oﬀ the device manually if you constantly press the power button for about 5 seconds, you shortly see „OFF“ on the display and the device turns oﬀ.

ACE Instruments recommends

Always use a new mouthpiece for each person and test that is conducted. ACE Instruments assumes no liability for any damages which arise when several people use the same mouthpiece for multiple tests.

Only use the provided single packed and hygienic mouthpieces. During each test the Breathalyzer’s internal and external parts come into contact with human secretion (saliva, blood, sweat, etc.)!

Use safety gloves when pulling out a mouthpiece used by another person! You can buy appropriate gloves at ACE Technik (www.ace-technik.de).

Important notice

When you have eaten, drunken alcohol or smoked a cigarette, wait at least 15 minutes before starting the measurement. Any test conducted prior to the expiration of the recommended waiting period will result in inaccurate results.

If the test result is below 0.10‰ (per mill) or 0.050mg/l (uk settting) or 0.010% BAC (US setting) then the device shows 0.00 (‰ or mg/l or % BAC – depending on the setting) on the display. This happens because at a low range of alcohol concentration it is possible to measure other materials in your mouth.

This breathalyzer is a high quality and sensitive measurement device. To maintain the accuracy of the fuel cell sensor, it should regularly be used. If the device is not used for an extended period of time, the sensor can dry out. ACE Instruments recommends to use the breathalyzer at least 2 times per month (even if you have not been drinking alcohol).

Due to changes in the product, the procedures stated can change. This can take place without prior notice or adaptation of the operating manual and is no cause for complaint, return or price reduction. The user is responsible for recognizing discrepancies between the operating manual and the actual handling of the breathalyzer and must react accordingly.

Calibration

To maintain the accuracy of the breathalyzer, ACE Instruments recommends a calibration after 500 tests or approx. every 12 months (depending which incident happens ﬁrst). For a calibration service you can send the device to ACE Instruments (see www.alkomat.net). The calibration is not mandatory, but the accuracy of the breathalyzer will decrease steadily without it and additionally the warranty for the sensor expires.

We recommend sending it as a parcel, so that in cases of loss an inquiry or proof of delivery is possible.

If no breath sample was given within 3 minutes, the device turns oﬀ automatically.

The testing cannot be performed because the device is turned on outside of the operating temperature.

“Err2” states that ﬂuid or saliva has entered the device and the sensor is unable to evaluate it.

The total number of breath tests performed has reached

Press power button to restart the countdown cycle and retest.

Repeat the test after the unit has reached a temperature within the operation range (5°C up to 40°C).

Battery notices

The device associated with this operating manual contains 2 AAA Alkaline batteries (1.5V) in delivery condition. These batteries are not made for recharging. The use of a rechargeable battery is not possible with this device and can damage it. If the included batteries are depleted, they must not be thrown into the household waste. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can cause environmental or health damage. Please return all depleted batteries to electrical appliance stores, who collect them for free.

Battery exchange

To replace the batteries, push the battery cover on the rear of the unit downwards and replace the discharged batteries with new ones. Be aware of the polarity when inserting the batteries (+/- pole). Close the battery compartment cover again. In the EU the return of used batteries is mandatory by law. All depleted batteries and also rechargeable batteries will be recycled. This way valuable resources like iron, zinc and nickel can be retrieved and are reusable then. Battery recycling is the easiest lesson in environmental protection – so please support it!

The shown garbage bins mean that batteries or rechargeable batteries must not be thrown into the household waste. The signs below the garbage bins are acronyms for the chemical substances inside the battery:

Warranty and liability

The ACE Instruments (ACE Handels- & Entwicklungs GmbH) provides a warranty of two years after purchase for material and processing errors for the product (see attached warranty and liability declaration) in all versions and designations; and a warranty of one year for the sensor. This warranty includes the electronics as well as the casing or sensor without sampling components. Components that are inevitably destroyed upon eﬀectiveness (such as fuses) are not part of this warranty. The warranty is valid from the date of delivery or from the date of ﬁrst activation (always the shorter period), if not stated otherwise in the accompanying ACE Instruments product literature.

Limitation of warranty and liability

1. Product description

The ACE Instruments rejects any further expressly stated or implied warranty, including the marketability and suitability for a determined purpose. This warranty especially excludes calibration. After changing the sensor, calibration is absolutely necessary. If an exchange of the sensor or a calibration is required for a product, the user may receive a cost estimate. Should the user reject the estimate, the ACE Instruments will send the product back unrepaired/not calibrated and the product will be labeled accordingly. Should the product not fulﬁll the warranty, the claim of the buyer and the obligations of ACE Instruments are limited exclusively to the discretion of the ACE Instruments for exchange, repair of the aﬀected goods or reimbursement of the purchasing price for the faulty merchandise.

2. Application restriction

The ACE Instruments is by any means liable for additional, incidental or consequential damage such as, among others, lost proﬁt and downtime that result from selling, producing or using products that are part of this application restriction. This is independent of any claims emanating from, for instance, contracts, negligence or other culpable actions.

The product, which is accompanied by this warranty and liability declaration (no matter the version or designation), in particular cannot be used in a legally binding manner to determine one’s capability to operate vehicles or execute action that could lead to personal injury or injury to others under the inﬂuence of alcohol.

The thorough check for damage of all products upon receipt, calibration suitable for the given use by the buyer and the proper use, maintenance and service according to the instructions of the accompanying ACE Instruments product literature are mandatory prerequisites of this warranty. Maintenance and service work performed by non-qualiﬁed persons as well as the use of non-approved consumables or spare parts results in the voiding of this warranty. As for all technically challenging products, it is a fundamental prerequisite and mandatory for the ACE Instruments warranty that all users of these product are familiar with the properties and restrictions of the devices as stated in the respective literature.

3. Advice restriction

The buyer is solely responsible and conﬁrms that they have checked the intended use and suitability of purchased goods for any purpose. Between the two parties it is expressly agreed that all technical or other advice given by by ACE Instruments regarding the use of goods or services is free of charge and made under risk to the buyer exclusively. Therefore, no obligation or liability can result to ACEInstruments from any recommendation or their consequences.

Préparation pour le test

1. Pour cela, ôtez soigneusement le couvercle du compartiment

à pile à l‘arrière de l‘appareil (1A) et insérez 2 piles AAA (alcaline, 1,5V). Ce faisant, observez la polarité de la pile (+/-)

Procédure de test

1. Appuyez sur le bouton de démarrage à l‘avant de l‘alcootest.

L‘appareil bipe une fois et aﬃche le nombre de tests eﬀectués jusqu‘à présent (tant que le bouton de démarrage reste enfoncé - si vous maintenez enfoncé le bouton d‘alimentation pendant plus de 5 secondes, l‘appareil s‘éteint). Si vous n‘appuyez plus sur le bouton de démarrage, un second bip retentira, „WAIT“ s‘aﬃchera en haut de l‘écran et un compte à rebours commencera.

2. Attendez que le compte à rebours aﬃché sur l‘écran se réchauﬀe. À la ﬁn du compte à rebours, l‘appareil émet deux bips et «BLOW» clignote en haut de l‘écran et il y a également trois lignes horizontales sur le bord gauche de l‘écran.

3. Dès que „BLOW“ est visible sur l‘écran, commencez à souﬄer uniformément dans l‘embout précédemment ﬁxé pendant 4 secondes lentement et sans interruption (un peu comme si vous siﬄiez sans son). L‘appareil émet continuellement des bips pendant le test respiratoire.

4. Lorsque le bip s‘arrête et que vous entendez un clic et un bip à deux reprises, le test est terminé. Si l‘échantillon d‘haleine a été interrompu ou trop faible, alors „Flo“ apparaît sur l‘aﬃchage. Dans ce cas, réexécutez le test et appuyez sur le bouton de démarrage.

5. Après un test d‘expiration réussi, l‘appareil évalue le résultat de la mesure. A cet eﬀet, plusieurs lignes se déplacent dans le sens des aiguilles d‘une montre sur l‘écran et sur le bord supérieur droit de l‘écran est „ANALYZE“. Après quelques secondes, le résultat de la mesure est aﬃché sur l‘écran en 3 chiﬀres (avec 2 décimales) pour 5 secondes en ‰, puis pour 2,5 secondes en mg/L et puis en % BAC (avec 3 décimales) pour 2,5 secondes. Si la valeur mesurée est supérieure à 0,5 partie par millier (ou supérieure à 0,25mg/L ou supérieure à 0,05% selon l‘unité de mesure réglée), un signal d‘alarme retentit pendant environ 10 secondes.

Remarque: L‘appareil s‘éteindra automatiquement après environ 3 minutes, de plus, vous entendrez un bip et l‘écran aﬃchera „Out“ puis „OFF“. Pour un autre test, appuyez à nouveau sur le bouton de démarrage. Vous pouvez également éteindre l‘appareil manuellement en appuyant sur le bouton de démarrage de manière permanente pendant environ 5 secondes, „OFF“ apparaît brièvement sur le slot et l‘appareil est éteint.

Recommandations d’ACE Instruments

Utilisez un embout diﬀérent pour chaque personne faisant le test ! ACE Instruments décline toute responsabilité en cas de dommage causé par l’utilisation d’un même embout par plusieurs personnes ou pour plusieurs tests.

Utilisez toujours les embouts ACE Instruments emballés de façon séparée et hygiénique. À chaque test, l’appareil entre en contact avec des sécrétions humaines externes comme internes (transpiration, salive, sang, etc.).

Utilisez des gants lorsque vous retirez l’embout employé pour un test, surtout si le test a été eﬀectué par une personne que vous ne connaissez pas. ACE Technik (www.ace-technik.de) propose, dans sa gamme de produits, des gants prévus à cet eﬀet.

Précisions importantes

Si vous avez mangé, bu de l‘alcool ou fumé une cigarette, attendez au moins 15 minutes avant de commencer la mesure. Cette unité de test d‘alcool est un appareil sensible et de grande qualité. Aﬁn de préserver la précision de mesure du capteur électrochimique, l‘appareil doit être utilisé régulièrement. En cas d‘inutilisation prolongée de l‘appareil, le capteur peut s‘assécher. Nous conseillons d‘utiliser l‘éthylotest au moins 2x par mois (même si vous n‘avez pas bu d‘alcool).

Pour les valeurs en dessous de 0,10‰ (OU 0,01% BAC OU 0,05mg/L – selon le réglage), le résultat aﬃché sera 0,000‰. Cela s‘explique par le fait que pour un faible niveau d‘alcoolémie d‘autres substances peuvent être contenues dans l‘air expiré et inﬂuer sur le résultat du test.

Calibrage

ACE Instruments recommande le calibrage du capteur intégré à l‘appareil tous les 12 mois environ ou après 500 tests (quel que soit l‘événement entre plus tôt). Le calibrage n‘est pas obligatoire, cependant la précision du capteur intégré à l‘unité d‘alcool test diminue progressivement en l‘absence de calibrage. Changement des piles

Inleiding

Bedankt voor het kopen van onze Alcoholtester ACE A! Hij is een eenvoudig te gebruiken alcoholmeter met elektrochemische sensor. Hij meet de alcoholconcentratie in de lucht en berekent de alcoholconcentratie in het bloed. Dit apparaat levert testresultaten met een meettolerantie van +/0,075‰ (promille) bij een referentiewaarde van 1,00 promille en 25°C omgevingstemperatuur. De maateenheid ‰ (per duizend) = basisinstelling in de EU.

De meetresultaten verkregen per mille worden weergegeven als een getal van 3 cijfers met 2 decimalen en zijn interpreteerbaar 1:1 (het display geeft bijvoorbeeld de waarde

0.36 = 0.36 per duizend). Gemeten waarden in % BAC worden weergegeven in 4 cijfers met 3 decimalen.

De elektrochemische sensor ingebouwd in de ACE A kan worden gekalibreerd. Om de meetnauwkeurigheid van dit apparaat en de garantie van de sensor te behouden, raden we aan om regelmatig te kalibreren. U kunt het apparaat verzenden voor kalibratie naar het serviceadres dat is opgegeven op www.alkomat.net.

Het apparaat mag alleen worden gebruikt in overeenstemming met de instructies in de bedieningsinstructies. Alle meetwaarden, die door dit alcoholtesttoestel worden gemeten, mogen alleen als indicatie worden beschouwd en zijn juridisch niet bindend. Voor elke ademtest moet een nieuw mondstuk worden gebruikt (om hygiënische redenen en om te foutieve meetgegevens te voorkomen die mogelijk door restalcohol uit een vorig gebruik worden geregistreerd).

gelezen. Een lage batterijspanning kan eveneens voor gevolg hebben dat verkeerde metingen worden doorgevoerd. H) Voer geen test uit in een lawaaierige omgeving (lawaai stoort de sensor) of in een slecht verluchte ruimte. I) Na een testresultaat van 1,00 promille of hoger moet de sensor langer tot rust komen. Wacht in dat geval ten minste drie minuten voor de volgende test. J) Voer geen tests uit in een zeer koude, zeer warme of slecht verluchte rokerige ruimte. K) Bewaar de alcohol testeenheid zo dat er geen stof of vloeistoﬀen in het toestel kunnen dringen.

L) Blaas niet te hard op het toestel. Dit kan de sensor

beschadigen (vooral wanneer bij het blazen voor speeksel in het toestel terechtkomt).

Voorbereidingen voor de test:

1. Leg 2 AAA-batterijen in het batterijvak (1A). Verwijder hiervoor

voorzichtig het deksel van het batterijvak aan de achterkant van het apparaat en leg 2 AAA-batterijen (alkaline, 1,5V). Let op de polariteit van de batterij (+/-) (1B). Sluit het deksel van het batterijvak.

2. Steek een mondstuk in de sleuf aan de zijkant die bedoeld is voor de montage van een mondstuk. Zorg ervoor dat het mondstuk goed vastzit. Gebruik per testpersoon een nieuw mondstuk.

Uitvoeren van de test

1. Druk op de startknop aan de voorkant van de breathalyzer. Het apparaat piept eenmaal en toont het aantal tests dat tot nu toe is uitgevoerd (zolang de startknop ingedrukt blijft - Opmerking: Als u de startknop langer dan 5 seconden ingedrukt houdt, wordt het apparaat opnieuw uitgeschakeld). Als u niet langer op de startknop drukt, klinkt er een tweede pieptoon, wordt „WAIT“ bovenaan het scherm weergegeven en begint het aftellen.

2. Wacht tot het aftellen op het display is opgewarmd. Aan het einde van het aftellen piept het apparaat twee keer en knippert „BLOW“ aan de bovenkant van het display en zijn er ook 3 horizontale lijnen aan de linkerkant van het display.

3. Zodra „BLOW“ op het display verschijnt, blaas gelijkmatig in het mondstuk gedurende 4 seconden (adem rustig en ononderbroken uit, alsof u ﬂuit zonder geluid). Het apparaat piept continu tijdens de ademtest.

4. Wanneer de pieptoon stopt en u een klikgeluid hoort en een tweevoudige pieptoon hoort, is de test afgelopen beëindigd. Als het ademmonster werd onderbroken of te zwak, dan „Flo“ verschijnt op het display. Voer in dit geval de test opnieuw uit en druk op de startknop.

5. Na een succesvolle ademtest evalueert het apparaat het meetresultaat. Hiervoor bewegen verschillende lijnen met de klok mee op het display en op de rechterbovenrand van het display staat „ANALYZE“. Na een paar seconden wordt het resultaat van de meting weergegeven gedurende 5 seconden met 3 cijfers (2 decimalen) in ‰, dan gedurende 2,5 seconden in mg/L en vervolgens gedurende 2,5 seconden in % BAC (met 4 cijfers en 3 decimalen). Als de gemeten waarde hoger is dan 0,5 delen per duizend (of meer dan 0,25mg/L of meer dan 0,05% BAC afhankelijk van de ingestelde meeteenheid), klinkt een alarmsignaal gedurende ongeveer 10 seconden.

Opmerking: Het apparaat zal automatisch na ongeveer 3 minuten worden uitgeschakeld, daarnaast hoort u een pieptoon en verschijnt op het display „Out“ en vervolgens „OFF“. Voor een andere test drukt u opnieuw op de startknop. U kunt het apparaat ook handmatig uitschakelen door de startknop gedurende ong. 5 seconden permanent in te drukken, „OFF“ verschijnt kort op het dipslot en het apparaat is uitgeschakeld.

Aanbevelingen van ACE Instruments

Gebruik voor elke testpersoon een nieuw mondstuk! ACE Instruments erkent geen enkele aansprakelijkheid voor mogelijke schade die is ontstaan door gebruik van hetzelfde mondstuk door meerdere personen in meerdere tests.

Gebruik steeds een hygiënisch afzonderlijk verpakt mondstuk van ACE Instruments. Het testtoestel komt bij elke test in contact met menselijke sappen (zweet, speeksel, bloed, enz.).

Gebruik handschoenen wanneer u mondstukken, die u voor de test gebruikt, wisselt, vooral wanneer het toestel wordt gebruikt om u vreemde personen te testen. ACE Technik (www.ace-technik.de) heeft in haar assortiment geschikt handschoenen.

Belangrijke richtlijnen

Wanneer u iets hebt gegeten, alcohol hebt gebruikt of een sigaret hebt gerookt, moet u minstens 15 minuten wachten voor u de test uitvoert. Deze alcohol testeenheid is is een hoogwaardig en gevoelig meettoestel. Om de meetnauwkeurigheid van de elektrochemische sensorte vrijwaren, moet het toestel regelmatig worden gebruikt. Wanneer het toestel voor een langere periode niet wordt gebruikt, kan de sensor uitdrogen. We adviseren om de alcoholtester ten minste twee keer per maand te gebruiken om te testen op alcohol (ook wanneer u geen alcohol hebt gedronken). Bij meetwaarden lager dan 0,10‰ (OF 0,01% BAC OF 0,05mg/L – afhankelijk van de instelling) wordt het testresultaat aangegeven als 0,000‰. Dit gebeurt omdat bij deze geringe alcoholhoeveelheid andere substanties in de ingeademde lucht kunnen zitten die het resultaat van de ademtest kunnen beïnvloeden.

Herhaal de test zodra de juiste omgevingstemperatuur is opgegeven (5°C tot 40°C).

Wacht 20 minuten, draai vervolgens aan de startknop en wacht tot het aftellen is beëindigd en "Blow" verschijnt op het display. Als 'Err2' alweer lang wordt weergegeven, neemt u contact op met de verkoper van uw apparaat.

Neem contact op met de verkoper van uw apparaat. U kunt het apparaat verzenden voor kalibratie naar het serviceadres dat is opgegeven op www.alkomat.net.

Kalibratie

ACE Instruments adviseert om de sensor in het toestel om de 12 maanden of na 500 tests opnieuw te laten kalibreren (afhankelijk welke van de twee voorwaarden eerst is bereikt). Deze kalibrering is niet verplicht, maar zonder kalibrering zal de nauwkeurigheid van de ingebouwde sensor automatisch verminderen en zonder kalibratie vervalt de garantie van de sensor. U kunt de toestel ter kalibrering opsturen naar een van de serviceadressen vermeld op www.alkomat.net.

We adviseren dat u het toestel als pakket verzend, waardoor het pakket u zal worden teruggestuurd in het geval de geadresseerde niet kan worden gevonden.

Door productwijzigingen kunnen de voorgeschreven processen veranderen. Dit gebeurt zonder aankondiging vooraf en eventueel zelfs zonder aanpassing van deze gebruiksaanwijzing. Dergelijke aanpassingen vormen geen grond voor een klacht, retour of korting. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de gebruiker om verschillen tussen de gebruiksaanwijzing en de eigenlijke bediening op te merken en dienovereenkomstig te handelen.

De batterij notities

Het toestel waarop deze gebruiksaanwijzing betrekking heeft wordt geleverd met 2 AAA alkaline batterijen. Deze batterijen zijn niet oplaadbaar. De poging om deze batterijen op te laden kan personen kwetsen en stoﬀelijke schade veroorzaken. Bovendien mogen in dit toestel geen oplaadbare batterijen worden gebruikt. Deze kunnen het toestel beschadigen. Als de batterijen leeg zijn, mogen ze niet met het huishoudafval worden afgevoerd. Batterijen bevatten schadelijke stoﬀen die het milieu en de volksgezondheid kunnen schaden. Breng de batterijen binnen in de winkel of geef ze af in het gemeentelijk containerpark. Deze ophaling is verplicht en wettelijk voorgeschreven. Werp lege batterijen weg in de daartoe bestemde container en kleef de polen van lithiumbatterijen af.

Vervangen van de batterijen

Verwijder de klep van het batterijvak van het toestel en vervang de gebruikte batterijen door twee nieuwe. Let op de polariteit: de minpool van de batterij moet contact maken tegen het veertje van het batterijvak. Sluit vervolgens de klep van het batterijvak terug op de behuizing (tot u een klik hoort). Het recyclen van batterijen is de gemakkelijkste manier om te zorgen voor het milieu. Onderstaande pictogrammen geven

Garantie en Aansprakelijkheid

Wijst hij deze van de hand, zendt de ACE Instruments het product niet gerepareerd / niet gekalibreerd terug en op het product wordt dit ook vermeld. Mocht het product deze waarborg niet vervullen, blijven de aanspraak van de koper en de plichten van de ACE Instruments uitsluitend en naar diens vrije beoordeling beperkt tot het vervangen of de reparatie van de betroﬀen goederen of een restitutie van de gereclameerde goederen.

De zorgvuldige controle van alle producten bij levering op beschadigingen, een voor de gegeven toepassing van de koper geschikte kalibratie en het reglementaire gebruik, onderhoud en de reparatie volgens de aanwijzingen in de door de ACE Instruments geleverde productliteratuur zijn noodzakelijke voorwaarden voor deze garantie. Reparatie- of onderhoudswerkzaamheden door ongekwaliﬁceerd personeel leiden net zo tot wegvallen van de garantie als niet vrijgegeven gebruiksmaterialen of reserveonderdelen. Zoals bij alle technisch veeleisende producten is het een ACE Instruments noodzakelijke voorwaarde dat alle gebruikers van deze producten vertrouwd zijn met het gebruik, de mogelijkheden en beperkingen van het product, zoals deze beschreven zijn in de betreﬀende productliteratuur.

3. Adviesbeperking

Introduzione

Grazie per aver acquistato il nostro etilometro ACE A. Il dispositivo è facile da usare e ha un sensore elettrochimico che misura la concentrazione di alcol nel respiro e calcola la concentrazione di alcol nel sangue. Questo dispositivo fornisce risultati di prova con una tolleranza di misurazione di +/- 0,075‰ (per mille) al livello di riferimento di 1,00‰ e 25°C temperatura ambiente. I risultati, rilevati in grammi al litro, vengono visualizzati utilizzando il dispositivo per la misurazione del tasso di alcolemia sotto forma di valori numerici a 3 cifre con 2 punti decimali (all’unità di misura ‰ e mg/L) e sono interpretabili in proporzione 1:1 (p.es. il display indica il valore 0,36 = 0,36 grammi al litro). Preparazione per il test

1. Inserire 2 batterie AAA nel vano batterie (1A). Rimuovere con

attenzione il coperchio del vano batterie sul lato posteriore dell’apparecchio e inserire 2 batterie AAA (alcalina da 1,5V). Prestare attenzione alla polarità della batteria (+/-) (1B). Chiudere il coperchio del vano batteria.

2. Inserire un bocchino sull’apposita apertura laterale. Assicurarsi che il bocchino sia correttamente ﬁssato. Utilizzare un nuovo bocchino per ciascun utente da testare.

Esecuzione del test alcolico

1. Premere il pulsante di avvio sulla parte anteriore

dell‘etilometro. Il dispositivo emette un segnale acustico e visualizza il numero di test eseguiti ﬁno a quel momento (purché il pulsante di avvio rimanga premuto - Nota: se si preme il pulsante di avvio per più di 5 secondi, il dispositivo si spegne nuovamente). Se non si preme più il pulsante di avvio, verrà emesso un secondo bip, „WAIT“ verrà visualizzato nella parte superiore del display e verrà avviato un conto alla rovescia.

2. Attendere il conto alla rovescia visualizzato sul display per riscaldarsi. Al termine del conteggio, l‘unità emette un segnale acustico 2x e lampeggerà „colpo“ nella parte superiore dello schermo, comprendono anche tre linee orizzontali visibili sul bordo sinistro del display.

3. Non appena sul display appare „BLOW“, soﬃare delicatamente nel boccaglio per 4 secondi (espira lentamente e senza interruzioni, come se si stesse ﬁschiettando). Il dispositivo emette un segnale acustico continuo durante il test del respiro.

4. Quando il segnale acustico si interrompe e si sente un clic e

un segnale acustico a 2 tempi, il test è terminato conclusa. Se il campione respiratorio era interrotto o troppo debole, allora „Flo“ appare sul display. In questo caso, eseguire nuovamente il test e premere il pulsante di avvio.

5. Dopo un test respiratorio riuscito, il dispositivo valuta il risultato della misurazione. A tal ﬁne, diverse linee si muovono in senso orario sul display e sul bordo superiore destro del display è „ANALYZE“. Dopo alcuni secondi, il risultato della misurazione viene visualizzato sul display in 3 cifre (con 2 posizioni decimali) in per mille per 5 secondi, quindi in mg/L per 2,5 secondi e quindi in % BAC (con 3 posizioni decimali) per 2,5 secondi. Se il valore misurato è superiore a 0,5 per mille (o secondo la misura insieme unità circa 0,25mg/L, o circa 0,05% BAC) suona per circa 10 secondi, un segnale di allarme.

Nota: L‘unità si spegne automaticamente dopo circa 3 minuti, inoltre si sentirà un segnale acustico e il display mostrerà prima „Out“ e poi „OFF“. Per un altro test, premi nuovamente il pulsante Start. È anche possibile spegnere il dispositivo manualmente premendo il pulsante di avvio in modo permanente per circa 5 secondi, „OFF“ appare brevemente sul dipslot e il dispositivo è spento.

Utilizzate un bocchino nuovo per ogni persona da controllare! L‘ACE Instruments non si assume nessuna responsabilità per alcun danno causato dall‘utilizzo di un bocchino da parte di più persone e per più test.

Utilizzate sempre i bocchini ACE Instruments igienici e in confezione singola. Questa unità alcol test per ogni test entra in contatto internamente ed esternamente con secreti umani (sudore, saliva, sangue ecc.).

Utilizzate i guanti quando togliete i bocchini utilizzati per un test dal misuratore, soprattutto se il test è stato eseguito da persone estranee. L‘ACE Technik (www.ace-technik.de) mette a disposizione nella sua gamma di prodotti dei guanti appositi.

Avvertenze importanti

Se avete mangiato qualcosa, bevuto dell‘alcol oppure fumato una sigaretta aspettate almeno 15 minuti prima di procedere alla misurazione. Questa unità alcol test è un misuratore pregiato e sensibile. Onde mantenere la precisione di misurazione del sensore

elettrochimico, l‘apparecchio va utilizzato regolarmente. Se l‘apparecchio non viene utilizzato per un lungo periodo il sensore potrebbe seccarsi. Consigliamo di utilizzare l‘etilometro eseguendo test di tasso alcolemico di almeno 2 volte al mese (anche se non avete bevuto dell‘alcol). In caso risultassero valori inferiori allo 0,100‰ (OPPURE 0,010% BAC OPPURE 0,050mg/L – a seconda dell‘impostazione) il risultato del test viene indicato con 0,000 ‰. Ciò avviene perché in caso di un basso livello d‘alcol possono essere presenti altre sostanze nell‘aria espirata, le quali possono inﬂuenzare il risultato della prova.

L‘ACE Instruments avverte

Calibratura

Per ottenere la precisione dell´apparecchio, noi consigliamo la calibratura con un intervallo di dopo 500 test o dopo circa 12 mesi. La calibratura non essere coattivo, tuttavia la precisione cala senza la calibratura e inoltre, la garanzia per il sensore scade. L´apparecchio può essere inviato per la calibratura all´indirizzo dal sito www.alkomat.net.

Non hai respirato entro 3 minuti, il dispositivo si spegnerà automaticamente.

Nessun test può essere eseguito perché la temperatura ambiente non rientra nei valori massimi.

"Err2" indica che il ﬂuido o la saliva sono entrati nel dispositivo e il sensore non è in grado di valutarlo.

Introducción

Muchas gracias por comprar nuestro probador de alcohol ACE A! El alcoholímetro es un apparato medidor con sensor electroquímico. El alcoholímetro mide la concentración de alcohol en el aire espirado y calcula, a partir del valor obtenido, la concentración de alcohol en sangre. Este aparato tiene una tolerancia de medición de +/- 0,075‰ (por mil) con el valor de referencia de 1,00 por mil y 25°C temperatura ambiente.

Los resultados obtenidos se muestran como un valor de 3 cifras con 2 decimales (en la unidad de medida ‰ y mg/L) que equivale a g de alcohol por kg de sangre (es decir, si se muestra un valor de 0,36, eso quiere decir que el valor registrado es de 0,36 g de alcohol/kg de sangre). Los valores medidos en % BAC se muestran como 4 dígitos con 3 lugares decimales.

El sensor electroquímico integrado en el alcoholímetro se puede calibrar. Para mantener la precisión de medición de este dispositivo y la garantía del sensor, recomendamos una calibración regular. Pueden enviar el aparato para calibrar a la dirección indicada en www.alkomat.net.

El aparato sólo puede ser usado conforme a las instrucciones del manual de instrucciones. Todos los valores de medición indicados por este aparato de pruebas de alcohol sirven siempre sólo como punto de referencia y no son legalmente vinculantes. En cada test de respiración se debe usar una boquilla nueva (por razones higiénicas y para evitar mediciones defectuosas que pueden resultar por posibles restos de alcohol en una boquilla ya utilizada).

K) No sople con demasiada fuerza sobre el aparato, pues esto puede dañar el sensor (ante todo, si al soplar llega mucha saliva al aparato).

Preparación para la prueba

1. Coloque 2 baterías AAA en el compartimento correspondiente (1B). Para ello, retire con cuidado la tapa del compartimento

en la parte posterior del medidor e introduzca 2 baterías AAA (alcalina, 1,5V). Al hacerlo, tenga en cuenta la polaridad (+/-) (1B).

Cierre la tapa del compartimiento de la batería.

2. Coloque una boquilla en la abertura lateral prevista para ello. Asegúrese de que la boquilla queda bien sujeta. Utilice una boquilla nueva para cada persona que realice la prueba.

Realización de la prueba

1. Presione el botón de inicio en el frente del alcoholímetro. El

dispositivo suena una vez y muestra la cantidad de pruebas realizadas hasta el momento (siempre que el botón de inicio permanezca presionado - Nota: Si presiona el botón de inicio durante más de 5 segundos, el dispositivo se apaga nuevamente). Si ya no presiona el botón de inicio, sonará un segundo pitido, se mostrará „WAIT“ en la parte superior de la pantalla y se iniciará una cuenta regresiva.

2. Espere a que la cuenta regresiva que se muestra en la pantalla se caliente. Al ﬁnal de la cuenta regresiva, el dispositivo emite dos pitidos y „BLOW“ parpadea en la parte superior de la pantalla, y también hay 3 líneas horizontales en el borde izquierdo de la pantalla.

3. Tan pronto como aparezca „BLOW“ en la pantalla, comience a soplar uniformemente en la boquilla previamente unida durante 4 segundos (simplemente exhale lentamente y sin interrupción, como si estuviera silbando). El dispositivo emite un pitido continuamente durante la prueba de aliento.

4. Cuando el pitido se detiene y escucha un clic y un pitido de 2 veces, la prueba termina terminó. Si la muestra de aliento fue interrumpida o demasiado débil, entonces „Flo“ aparece en la pantalla. En este caso, ejecute la prueba nuevamente y presione el botón de inicio.

5. Después de una prueba de aliento exitosa, el dispositivo evalúa el resultado de la medición. Para este propósito, varias líneas se mueven en el sentido de las agujas del reloj en la pantalla y en el borde superior derecho de la pantalla es „ANALYZE“. Después de unos segundos, el resultado de la medición se muestra en la pantalla en 3 dígitos (con 2 posiciones decimales) en ‰ por 5 segundos, luego en mg/L por 2.5 segundos y luego en % BAC (con 3 posiciones decimales) durante 2.5 segundos. También puede apagar el dispositivo manualmente presionando el botón de inicio de forma permanente durante aproximadamente 5 segundos, aparece „OFF“ brevemente en la ranura deslizante y el dispositivo se apaga.

ACE Instruments recomienda

¡Utilice siempre una boquilla nueva para cada persona! ACE Instruments no asume ninguna responsabilidad por cualquier daño causado por el uso de una boquilla para varias personas.

Utilice siempre la boquilla ACE Instruments higiénica y envasada individualmente. En cada prueba con el aparato de pruebas entra en contacto excreciones humanas (sudor, saliva, sangre, etc.).

Utilice guantes para quitar una boquilla usada, especialmente si se ha usado con personas extrañas. ACE Technik (www.acetechnik.de) incluye guantes apropiados en su surtido.

Advertencia importante

Si ha comido algo, ha bebido alcohol o ha fumado un cigarrillo, debe esperar al menos 15 minutos antes de empezar con la medición.

Esta unidad de prueba de alcohol es un medidor de alta calidad y sensible. Para mantener la precisión del sensor sensor electroquímico, el aparato debe ser utilizado regularmente. Si el aparato no se utilizado durante un período de tiempo largo, el sensor puede secarse. Por mes recomendamos realizar al menos 2 pruebas de alcohol (incluso si no se ha bebido alcohol).

En valores de medición menores de 0,10‰ (O BIEN 0,01% BAC O BIEN 0,05mg/L según ajuste) el resultado de la prueba se indica como 0,000‰. Esto sucede porque en niveles muy bajos de alcohol puede haber otras sustancias en el aire aspirado que inﬂuyen en el resultado de la prueba.

Calibración

ACE Instruments recomienda la calibración del sensor del aparato aproximadamente cada 12 meses o después de 500 pruebas (lo que ocurra primero). La calibración no necesariamente tiene que hacerse, pero la precisión del sensor integrado está disminuyendo constantemente y la garantía del sensor se anula. Puede enviar el aparato para calibración a la dirección de servicio indicada en www.alkomat.net.

Recomendamos el envío como paquete para que en caso pérdida se pueda localizar mediante seguimiento.

Las modiﬁcaciones del producto pueden cambiar el funcionamiento descrito. Esto puede realizarse sin previo aviso y la adaptación de las instrucciones no es ninguna razón para realizar reclamaciones, devoluciones o reducción del precio. Es responsabilidad del usuario reconocer y reaccionar a las divergencias entre el manual de instrucciones y el funcionamiento real.

"Err2" indica que el ﬂuido o la saliva han ingresado al dispositivo y el sensor no puede evaluarlo.

El número total de pruebas de aliento realizadas ha llegado a 500. El dispositivo debe calibrarse rápidamente para mantener la garantía y la precisión.

Notas para las baterías

El aparato al que se reﬁere este manual de instrucciones contiene 2 baterías alcalinas AAA. Estas baterías no son adecuadas para ser recargadas. El intento de recarga puede causar daños a personas y cosas. No se pueden emplear pilas recargables en el aparato, puesto que pueden dañar el aparato.

Si las baterías estan vacías no se pueden tirar con la basura doméstica. Las pilas usadas contienen contaminantes que pueden dañar el medio ambiente y la salud. Las pilas se deben entregar en el comercio o en los puntos de reciclaje del municipio. La devolución es gratuita y legalmente obligatoria. Debe tirar solo pilas vacías en los contenedores apropiados y cubrir los terminales de las pilas de litio con cinta adhesiva.

Cambio de las pilas

Quite la tapa del compartimento de pilas y sustituya las pilas gastadas por dos nuevas. Preste atención a la polaridad: El polo negativo de las pilas debe tener contacto con la cavidad de las pilas. Finalmente empuje la tapa del compartimento de pilas en la carcasa y haga que encaje.

El reciclaje de la pila es la actividad ecológica más fácil del mundo. Los cubos de la basura indican que las pilas y baterías viejas no se deben ser tirar junto con la basura doméstica. Pueden ser reutilizadas y recuperar materias primas valiosas como hierro, cinc y níquel.

Garantía y responsabilidades

La empresa ACE Instruments (ACE Handels- und Entwicklungs GmbH) otorga para este producto, que se entrega con su correspondiente declaración de garantía y responsabilidades, en todas sus versiones y denominaciones, una garantía de dos años desde la fecha de su adquisición, garantía que cubre fallos tanto materiales como de fabricación; la garantía para el sensor es de un año. Esta garantía incluye la electrónica y la carcasa del aparato o hace referencia al sensor sin los componentes destinados a la toma de la prueba. Los componentes que al activarse son destruidos (por ejemplo fusibles) no se incluyen en la garantía. La garantía es válida desde la fecha de entrega o fecha de la primera puesta en servicio (siendo válido el período más corto), siempre y cuando en la documentación que acompaña al producto de la empresa ACE Instruments no conste otra cosa.
