EC3002S is suitable for fiber optics Fast Ethernet
LAN, FTTx, or xDSL applications. It provides fiber
optics bandwidth and link distance advantages to
the existing network infrastructures with minimum
upgrade expenses. By integrating WDM
technology into this product line, a single fiber
transports both downstream and upstream signals.
As a result of efficiently utilizing the fiber's
bandwidth, cabling and installation costs are
greatly reduced. Being fully compliant to TTC
TS-1000 standards secures the optical linkage.
The EC3002S is one of a full product line that
allows Accton to provide flexible fiber optics
solutions for enterprise-metro link, FTTx, and
xDSL applications.
EC3002S Intelligent Fast Ethernet WDM Bi-directional Fiber Optics Media Converter
The EC3002S is a stand-alone media converter designed to converge
between 10/100BASE-TX and 100BASE-FX cabling. Since WDM technology is
applied, only one single-mode optical fiber is required to transmit and receive
optical data. The product supports Auto-Negotiation function of link rates and
full/half duplex modes. The EC3002S has an external 4-pin piano switche,

which allows the customer to select between full/half duplex modes, 10/100
Mbps data rates, MDI/MDI-X data connection for the RJ45 port, or automatic
detect-and-set. The product is truly plug-and-play, and reguires no additional
setting or jumper. The product can be configured to enable or disable Auto-
MDI detect-and-set, Mac address leaning, flow-control and link-pass-through
functions. The EC3002S supports 2K MAC address table, port/tag-based
VLAN, to increase overall networking performance. The product performs
loop-back testing and satisfies all TTC TS-1000 specifications.
