ABSOLARE Bybee Purifier User Manual 0.9
1.#General#Description#
The Absolare Bybee Purifier is a passive mains distribution device which employs
non-current limiting EMI/RFI filtering devices designed by Jack Bybee. There are six
European Schuko or three duplex US outlets.
2.#Safety#Issues#and#Warnings#
- Total current drawn from all outlets should not exceed 12 amperes.
- There are no user serviceable parts inside the chassis. Do not open covers.
3.#Operating#the#Unit#
AC power input is via a standard IEC input socket on the back cover.
There is no power switch on the unit, mains voltage will be available at output outlets
as soon as the input power is connected.
If the total current drawn from the outlets exceeds 12 amperes, the circuit breaker on
back of the unit is tripped. In that case you should unplug the faulty unit and push the
button on the circuit breaker. The unit returns to normal operation.
The two outlets closest to the IEC input socket are directly connected to the mains
input, bypassing the Bybee filter inside.
Feet can affect the sound quality significantly. You can use either three or four feet.
Adjusting their position will also affect the sound to varying degrees, depending on
the type of rack, location or interaction with other equipment.
