VISION
We invented the granite sink in 1979.
ABOUT US
And we’ve been constantly reinventing it and
ourselves ever since. The result is more than
200 sink models in as many as 40 colours. We
have more than 90 patents and 80% of sinks
made around the world are produced on the
basis of our methods. But there’s one thing we
kept to ourselves: the special combination of our

and our international trend scouting activities.
We don’t follow a strategy, we follow our intuition.
And what that means for us in figures is: 50%

FORMULATED
The CRISTADUR® EXTREME material formulation contains
organic bres that bind the material even better than before.
Ever since it invented the original manufacturing formula for the quartz composite sinks in 1979,
SCHOCK has been constantly taking the growing industry forward with revolutionary improvements
and creating real added value for end customers. The irrepressible desire to make the best even better
is also manifested in the evolution of CRISTADUR®.
With the new CRISTADUR® EXTREME manufacturing formula, SCHOCK has managed to take many
of the material’s great strengths up to the next level. Taking things to extremes – the granite sink
material that goes by the name of CRISTADUR® EXTREME is the result of more than two years of
research and development and possesses properties that really do get the absolute utmost out of
the material. It is more hard-wearing than was ever thought possible, the colours gain added intensity, and the surfaces are now even easier to clean.
The production of CRISTADUR® EXTREME employs the highest-grade raw materials, including especially
pure quartz sand from Germany. The casting and curing process benets from the highly cross-linked organic binder. The result is the best CRISTADUR® ever.

The sink and surrounding area is statistically the most frequently used part of
the kitchen, so the rigours a sink has to withstand as people go about their daily
chores are obviously especially great. But transportation to the customers is
also a challenge for the packaging owing to the weight of the sink.
By ingraining a special fibreglass product in the bottom of the sink, SCHOCK has
been able to increase the material’s impact resistance several times over, with
the organic fibres cross-linking the quartz casting compound even better and
affording the material greater elasticity.
The effect can be compared with the difference between concrete (tough) and
reinforced concrete (tough and flexible). Developed in-house by the materials
research team, the technology is patent pending.
