How to Clean
Metal Counter/ Bar/Dining Chair
What you'll need:
Mild detergent
A soft cloth (you'll need more than one)
Warm water
A bucket
Cleaning Method
Start by wiping down your counter/ bar/ dining chair from top to bottom to make sure there is
no dirt or dust left behind. You can use a duster or soft cloth to do this, but make sure you
remove any dirt or marks that can be easily removed. Any marks or stains that can't be easily
wiped off will be dealt with in the next steps.
Once your counter/ bar/ dining chair is free of any dust and debris, you can start the real
cleaning process. Take a bucket of warm soapy water, preferably using a mild detergent to
prevent damage to the surface.
Wet a cloth and remove any excess moisture by gently wringing it out. Use this cloth to clean your bar chairs, taking care to go over the entire counter/ bar/ dining chair. It’s a good idea to
try and remove any food or drink spillages or stains as soon as they occur, but if you missed some,
they will hopefully come off during this step. If not, it may be worth using a stain remover or a
harsher detergent.
If you come across any stains that won't come off using the above method, try using a stain
remover. Always make sure to spot-test a small section of the counter/ bar/ dining chair before
using the stain remover.
Finally, take some WD40 or baby oil to really give your counter/ bar/ dining chair a beautiful new
shiny look. Using a soft, dry cloth, rub a small amount of baby oil or WD40 onto the surface of
the metal bar. This will help protect the metal and help it stay looking good for longer.
