Measuring device for measurement of O2 content in beverages and gases especially in beer, soft drinks and wine.
Check the possibility for O2 measurement in other beverages and gases with manfacturer.
It is portable device that can be firmly built-in with the help of the supplied holder.
It is equipped with the internal memory with capacity of 450 measured values. Measured values can be transferred
into PC with the help of RS485/USB adapter and then exported to Excell for further processing. Measurement period
can be easily adjusted.
Note: Adapted only for industrial application
2. Installation - putting the device into operation
2.1 TAKING OF SAMPLES:
The device is ready for measurement at the moment of delivery.
Before the measurement connect the device by fixing of inlet hose with the connection (4) on oximeter (see pic.2) to
the sampling point. In case it is not possible to connect the inlet hose to the sampling point please use the
corresponding reduction – attach the corresponding hose to the reduction to take safely the sample. The inlet hose
(3) must be secured at the sampling point not to fall out during taking of sample.
Connect the reduction (1) with the help of the outlet hose (5) and place it to the drain. Hold the device in a horizontal
position during filling the measuring chamber (see pic.2) – connection (1) is oriented up. Measured liquid goes
through the inlet hoses into the measuring chamber (3) where O2 content is measured with measuring electrode (5).
Then the measured liquid goes out of the chamber through the outlet hose. Adjust the flow rate by control valve (2)
in the way to avoid bubles creation.
2.2 CLEANING OF THE DEVICE:
Connect the device by fixing of inlet hose with the connection (4) on oximeter (see pic.2) to the water cock. In case
it is not possible to connect the inlet hose to the water cock please use the corresponding reduction – attach the
corresponding hose to the reduction. The inlet hose on the water cock (3) must be secured not to fall out during
rinsing. Place the outlet hose into the drain and open the control valve (2). Wash water goes through inlet hose to
the measuring chamber (3) and then it goes out of the chamber through the outlet hose to the drain. Once the
cleaning is over switch off the water cock. Disconnect the device from the water cock and let the water go out from
the measuring chamber.
Clean the external surface with soft flannel moistened with water. After this handling the device is ready for next
measurement.
.
3.0 SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
Measuring device of O2 content may be operated only by person who became completely acquainted with its
function within the framework of the training, or who became thoroughly acquainted with the user’s guide of this
device.
Measuring device OXI can be used only for determination of O2 content in the range of measured values determined
by technical conditions. Never connect the measuring device to the withdrawal spots where measured parameters are
over measuring capacity of the device.
Check device before each measurement. Do not use visibly damaged device and contact the qualified service
personnel who provides service for delivered device.
Warning! It is forbidden to use the device for pressure higher than 600 kPa and for temperature higher than +80
degrees Celsius. It could cause device destruction and staff injury.

5.0 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5.1.1 TAKING OF SAMPLES:
Measuring device for measurement of O2 content in beverages and gases especially in beer, wine, soft drinks,
saturated and non-saturated beverages in cylindro-conical fermenters, tanks, at-line, KEG casks, glass and plastic
bottles etc.
Check the possibility for O2 measurement in other beverages and gases with manfacturer.
Check device before each measurement. Do not use visibly damaged device.
Notice! Remove sludge from the sampling point before connecting the device. Remove sludge of the sedimented
yeast to fill inside the chamber only beer without sedimented yeast!!!!
Connect the reduction (1) with the help of the outlet hose and place it to the drain. Hold the device in a horizontal
position during filling the measuring chamber (see pic.2) – connection (1) is oriented up. Measured liquid goes
through inlet hoses to the measuring chamber (3) where O2 content is measured with measuring electrode (5). Then
the measured liquid goes out of the chamber through the outlet hose. Adjust the flow rate by control valve (2) in the
way to avoid bubles creation.
Further follow the procedure described in 5.2.3. Measurement of O2 content
Use sampler ICAS2 to take sample of hopped wort from the fermenting tank. Slide the sampler ICAS 2 on
oximeter body and connect the supplied short hose into the reduction (1) on oximeter (see pic. 3). Dip the free
side of the supplied hose leading into the reduction (4) of oximeter into the hopped wort and suck it into the
measuring chamber using the syringe (supplied with ICAS2).
Further follow the procedure described in 5.2.3. Measurement of O2 content
5.1.2 CLEANING OF THE DEVICE:
Connect the device by fixing of inlet hose with the connection (4) on oximeter (see pic.2) to the water cock. In case
it is not possible to connect the inlet hose to the water cock please use the corresponding reduction – attach the
corresponding hose to the reduction. The inlet hose on the water cock (3) must be secured not to fall out during
rinsing. Place the outlet hose into the drain and open the control valve (2). Wash water goes through inlet hose to

the measuring chamber.
Clean the external surface with soft flannel moistened with water. After this handling the device is ready for next
measurement.
5.2 CONTROL OF THE ELECTRONICS
The device (i.e. switch-on, shutdown, measurement, saving of the measured sample in the memory) is controlled
with the help of the membrane keyboard and the device display.
