INSTALLATION –
TOOLS NEEDED:
One (1) vise or pipe wrench and one (1) small screwdriver.
STEP 1 - Installing the New Flow Washer
a. Using a vise or pipe wrench, securely hold the valve

and possible leaks, DO NOT damage body threads
when removing flow washer.
b. Carefully, insert a small screwdriver into the orifice
of the flow washer (D) and pry it out of the body.
c. Select the desired flow washer by using the number
on the face of the washer (D).
Identification: Number 1 = 1 gpm
Number 4 = 4 gpm.
d. Insert the new flow washer in the valve body so that
the identification number faces the body (A), NOT
the outlet fitting (B). Before assembling the outlet
fitting (B), make sure that the flow washer is completely inserted into the body recess and lying flat.
e. Thread the outlet fitting (B) and gasket back into the
body (A). Securely tighten to approximately 35 lb•ft
