BEFORE USING THE COOKTOP
•
These instructions are only valid for those
Countries where the destination abbreviations are
mentioned on the rear cover of the user
instructions and on the appliance.
• To get full satisfaction from your
cooktop, please read these instructions
carefully and keep them for future
consultation.
Keep packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene
parts,etc) out of the reach of children as they are
potentiallydangerous.
•
Check whether the cooktop has been damaged
during transport.
• Ensure that the installation and gas/
electrical connections are performed by a
qualified technician, following the
manufacturer's instructions and in
compliance with current local safety
regulations.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing materials
All of the packing material can be recycled and is
marked with the recycling symbol that
identifies it as a type of material to be sent to local
waste-disposal centres.

This appliance is marked according to the
European Directive 2002/96/EC, Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
By ensuring that this appliance is scrapped
suitably, you can help prevent potentially
damaging consequences for the environment
and health.
The symbol on the appliance or on the
accompanying documentation, indicates that
this product must not be treated as household
waste but should be delivered to a suitable
collection point for recycling electric and
electronic appliances. Disposal must be carried
out in accordance with local environmental
regulations for waste disposal.
For further information on the treatment,
recovery and recycling of this appliance,
contact your competent local authority, the
collection service for household waste or the
shop where you purchased the appliance.
PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL
RECOMMENDATIONS
NB: Accessible parts become very hot when
the appliance is in operation. Keep children
away from the appliance in order to avoid the
risk of scalding and burns.
Children and individuals with health
conditions should not be allowed to use the
appliance unsupervised.
Make sure that children do not play with the
appliance.
This appliance must not be used by persons
(children included) with a limited physical,
sensory or mental capacity or with inadequate
experience or expertise unless supervised or
provided with initial instructions regarding
use of the appliance by those that are
responsible for their safety.

• Before any cleaning or maintenance
operation, disconnect the cooktop from
mains power supply.
• The use of a gas appliance produces heat
and humidity in the room. Ensure that the
room is well ventilated, or install an
extractor hood with exhaust duct.
• Prolonged use of the cooktop may
necessitate extra ventilation (opening a
window or increasing the extraction speed of
the hood).
• Keep children away from the cooktop when
it is in use.

• After use, ensure that the knobs are in the
off position and close the main gas supply
valve or the gas cylinder valve.
• NB: the lid (where present) might break if
overheated. Before closing it, make sure
that all the burners are off.
Warning: The protective rubber feet beneath
the panstand grills can represent a choking
hazard for young children.
After the panstand grills have been cleaned
ensure that all of the rubber feet have been
repositioned correctly.
ENERGY SAVING TIPS
•
The cooktop is equipped with burners and/or a hotplate with
different diameters. Use pots and pans with a bottom
diameter equal to that of the burners and hotplate, or slightly
larger.
•
Use flat bottomed pots and pans only.
•
The pans must not interfere with the control panel.

food and complies with the regulation (EC)
n. 1935/2004.
• This cooktop (Class 3) has been designed to
be used only for cooking. Any other use
(such as heating a room) is improper and
