Thank you for choosing Vello
The Vello BG -N15-2 battery grip offers extended shooting time and comfort when shooting in a vertical (portrait) orientation. The grip is compatible with the Nikon D750 DSLR camera and accept s one Nikon EN­EL15 rechargeable bat tery, providing you with an extr a battery option together wi th the one in your camera . It offers familiar controls like an alternate shu tter release button, main and sub-command dials, a multi selec tor, and AE-L/AF-L bu tton. This makes the grip ideal for shooting por trai t photography and allow s your hand to be in a comfor table position while accessing the mos t­used controls.
Please read through this entire manual before using the BG-N15-2 battery grip.

Precautions
1.
The BG-N15-2 should be used only with the
compatible devices specified in this manual.
2.
Use only with the batteries and battery holders
recommended in this manual.
3. If you notice smoke, noise, or an unusual smell from
the bat tery pack, discontinue use immediately.
Remove the batteries, and take the device to a Vello
authorized reseller.
4.
The bat tery level may not display properly if bat teries are installed before mounting the grip.
5. Remove batteries from the grip w hen not in use.
6. Do not attempt to disassemble.
7.
Avoid exposing this produc t to water or ex treme humidity, and keep i t in a cool, dry place.
8. Keep out of reach of children.

Attaching the Battery Grip
1.
Ensure that the camera is turned off.
2.
Remove the camera’s contact cap, and store it in the grip’s contact-cap holder.

Remove the grip’s power­contact cap.

4.
Line up the battery grip’s power contacts and camer a mount, and at tach the grip to t he camera.
5.
Rotate the thumbwheel counterclockwise until the grip is secured.

Inserting the Battery
1.
Turn off the camera, a nd make sure the grip’s control lock switch is in the L position.
2.
Twist the bat ter y tray lock, and remove the bat tery tray from the grip.
3.
Nikon EN -EL15: Ins er t the bat tery into the slot as shown, and push down to lock the battery in place.

AA Batteries: Place six
identical AA batteries into the AA battery tray as indicated.

Inser t and lock the batter y tray inside the batter y grip.

Turn on the camera, and make sure the grip’s control lock switch is in the • position.
Note: When removing the grip, turn off the camera’s power and switch the control lock to the L position, and then remove the batteries.

Removing the Battery
1.
Turn off the camera, a nd make sure the grip’s control lock switch is in the L position.
2.
Twist the bat ter y tray lock, and remove the bat tery tray from the grip.

3.
Push down on the batter y slot lock t ab, and slide the battery ou t of the slot.

The camera displays the following battery levels.

AA Battery Setting s
To ensure that the camera shows the correc t bat tery level when AA batteries are used, choose the appropriate setting in the Custom Settings menu (Gro up d).

Nikon Rechargeable Batteries
The camera ca n display information (including calibration information) for Nikon EN- EL15 batteries via the Battery Info option in the Setup Menu. For AA batteries, only battery levels are displayed.
Battery Order
Set the order in which the internal camera and BG - N15 -2 batteries are used via the Custom Set tings menu (Group d). To view the status for both bat teries, check your camera’s LCD screen. The camera’s control panel displays the status of the active battery.

One-Year Limited Warranty
This Vello product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thir ty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any produc t that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoper ability of the produc t or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider.
