HPF High Pass Filter: Use the cutoff parameter to set the low frequency limit. When you do this,
the sound will naturally be brighter and thinner. A cutof f value over 64 usually needs to be

The V3 unit can be connected to any USB Audio Class 1 compatible keyboard. The V3 unit can supply your USB keyboard with a maximum of 500mA. If your keyboard requires more than 500mA, you will need an external power supply.
The polarity of the sustain foot pedal is set up au­tomatically when you turn on the V3. The pedal only works on MIDI channel 1.

To avoid possible damage to the loud speakers or other connected electronic devices, always con­nect all cables before turning on the units.
Plug the power adapter that came with the
YAMMEX into the DC port on the back of the unit. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a power outlet.
Connect the MIDI-cable

You can also use a USB cable in place of the MIDI cable.
Connect the audio outputs

You can also connect the YAMMEX AUDIO-OUT to a mixer and adjust the volume there.
Move up the V3 YEMMEX
MAIN VOLUME potentiometer to maximum.
Turn on YAMMEX first,
then power on the keyboard.
NO SOUND - No MIDI-LED
The YAMMEX MIDI LED only lights up when you have correctly selected a sound. To do this, you must send the following messages over MIDI:
MSB Bank 63 LSB Bank 80 (80 is just an example) Prg. change 1
This will only be done automatically if you have correctly installed the voices using the YAMAHA YEM Editor. If this does not happen, check the bank setting as described on page 3.

To select Yammex Sounds from your keyboard, you must first upload the data to your keyboard. The data files are located here:

How to install voices with the YEM Editor Version 1.51:
1. Click on „My Packs“
2. Then click on the “+” symbol
3. Select IMPORT PACK
4. Select the pack with the lowest number (Bank 80).
5. Install the LSB bank for this pack. Click the symbol „>“ under My Pac k
and select Change Bank Select LSB (the name of the pack is the LSB number).
NOTE: You must manually set the LSB bank number for each sound bank.
After you have loaded all the banks, set the correct call-up for the VOICES on the keyboard from the LSB BANK as shown here.
Now you can end your installation as instructed in the YEM Editor manual.

An installation with the EXPANSION Manager is NOT absolutely necessary - see left side.
So that you can select the Yammex sounds on the display of your keyboard, simply copy the USER VOICE data that we provide on our homepage for free to your keyboard.

An additional installation with EXPANSION MANAGER is NOT absolutely necessar y.
You just have to make sure that you do not assign the LSB banks 80-96 to other PACKS.
However, an additional installation of the VOICES with the EXPANSION MANAGER is possible. In addition, you can still select the YAMMEX Voices as PRESETS in the EXPANSION Packs.
