History: Building on Three Generations of Innovation

For over five decades and through three generations, we continue to be the leader in innovation, quality, and value in the premium modular ice making, refrigeration, and wine preservation market.

The Uihlein family traces its roots back to southern Germany. In the mid-1800’s several family members immigrated to the U.S. and were an instrumental part of a substantial brewery. In 1962, Henry Uihlein founded U-Line Corporation as an outgrowth of Ben-Hur Freezer Company and was the first to develop and patent an automatic stand-alone undercounter residential ice maker. His foresight and determination to develop new ideas and to succeed when there were no clear guidelines or solutions are evident today. The newest Uihlein generation continues to build upon the family’s innovative legacy by providing continuity and vision from which new designs and technology continue to be born.

We have captivated those with an appreciation for the finer things with exceptional functionality, style, inspired innovations, and attention to even the smallest details. We are known and respected for our unwavering dedication to product design, quality, and selection.

Our corporate headquarters have been based in Milwaukee since 1962, a West Coast office was established in Laguna Beach,

California in 2006, and European support is located in Dublin, Ireland. We have shipped modular refrigeration products worldwide for several decades and continue to provide premium modular refrigeration products throughout North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Europe, Latin America, and the

Middle East. Design, engineering, and final assembly of all products is completed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.

Our modular refrigeration provides the best premium design aesthetic and the most function by offering varying levels of integration, lighting, and installation application options. Designed and engineered in America, but built for the world, our products integrate into a standard 24” cabinet depth and are offered in the following standard widths: 15”, 18”,

24”, and 36”.

Our front ventilation system is engineered to circumvent the need for additional airflow, providing the flexibility to integrate and install our products undercounter, in island applications, or wherever you need them most. All integrated models maintain zero clearance, ensuring performance and hinge clearance with the panel/frame installed.

Integrated finishes are offered in most models through each of our series: 1000, 2000, and Modular 3000 Series, allowing for installation of a ¾”custom overlay panel/frame of your choice; no kits or accessories needed. All integrated models offer black interiors that essentially disappear into your cabinetry, ensuring an elegant installation. Our 2000 Series and Modular 3000 Series grilles can accept a custom overlay toe-kick; or can accept a continuous custom toe-kick that extends the full cabinet length to create a design that seamlessly integrates with your surrounding cabinetry.

Modular 3000 Series

The Modular 3000 Series seamlessly integrates into virtually any environment and are offered in the following widths: 18”, 24”, and 36”. All models are available in our integrated finish, allowing for simple installation of a ¾” custom overlay panel of your choice; no kits or accessories needed. Adjustable grille allows for front ventilation, ensuring your model can be installed in a variety of applications, including islands. Grilles can be shifted front-to-back and up-and- down to ensure alignment with adjacent cabinetry toe-kicks. Grilles can accept a custom overlay toe-kick; or run your continuous custom overlay toe-kick that extends the full cabinet length to create a design that seamlessly integrates with your surrounding cabinetry. Additionally, models offer concealed and covered hinges with built-in doorstop(s), four independently adjustable leveling legs, rear legs that are accessible and adjustable from the front, and doors that simplify fine-tuning and alignment during installation.

Now with a completely redesigned style including upgraded features and technology, it is the most diverse line in the industry. The ADA Series is designed to install under the federally mandated requirement of a 34” high countertop. Controls are easily accessible and allow for singlehand operation. These models are a perfect solution where ADA height compliancy is required. Models are available in the following finishes: Stainless or Black. Today’s entertaining environments extend far beyond the boundaries of the traditional home. For over 50 years, our products have been used in outdoor applications and continue to be amongst our most popular models. Our outdoor models are fully wrapped in stainless steel to protect from harsh outdoor elements. These durable outdoor products are UL (Underwriters Laboratory) rated and deemed suitable for outdoor use. Models are available in the our Stainless finish. The Outdoor Series spans three product categories

Wine Captain® Models

As the first North American appliance manufacturer to develop a residential wine preservation model, we

understand that wine requires proper storage. As opposed to simply chilling wine, we attend to every detail in our Wine Captain® Models to protect and maintain wine during storage. Our wide range of models with advanced

temperature management systems best accommodate your wine preservation requirements and personal taste—in wine, as well as décor.

All Wine Captain® Models offer the following optimal environment features:

Models maintain temperature to within 1°F of the set point to maximize preservation. LowE coated, argon gas filled thermopane glass provides protection from harmful UV light. Additionally, its insulating qualities help maintain temperature stability and increase energy efficiency. Relative humidity inside the unit is approximately 50%, while the rubber mounted compressor virtually eliminates vibration.

Optimal Environment

The 3018WC and 3036WCWC are equipped with our convection cooling system, rapidly and efficiently taking items to your set temperature. The 3024ZWC and 3036WCWC offers two independently controlled compartments, ensuring your collection will be preserved to perfection. The U-Select® Control makes it quick and

simple to choose from one of the 3 pre-programmed modes: Sparkling, White, and Red wine mode, each designed to provide cellar-like conditions. The Sparkling and White wine modes are equipped with our Quick Chill Feature, which rapidly chills your wines to the lowest temperature setting, perfect for unexpected guests. You also have the option

to simply adjust the temperature within the modes based on your personal preference, ranging from 38°F - 65°F. Additionally, the 3024ZWC and the 3036WCWC are equipped with Beverage mode, reaching temperatures as low as 34°F. Models maintain temperature to within 1°F of the set point to maximize preservation.

LED Theater Lighting

Black interiors gently illuminate with LED theater lighting, then softly dim off when the door is closed, or can be set to stay on for 3, 6, or 24 hours. Light brightness can be set to low, medium, or high.

Flexible Storage

Wine racks are designed to accommodate a variety of bottle shapes and sizes. The fourth and fifth racks on the 3018WC and 3036WCWC and the third and sixth racks on the 3024ZWC allow for larger diameter wine and champagne bottles, providing optimal storage flexibility for your collection.
