DANGER! Electric shock caused by high voltages inside
Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never remove any covers.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
DANGER! Electric shock caused by short-circuit
Always use proper ready-made insulated mains cabling (power cord) with a pro‐ tective contact plug. Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to do so could result in electric shock/death or fire. If in doubt, seek advice from a regis‐ tered electrician.

CAUTION! Possible hearing damage
The device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment. Over an extended period of time, even levels that seem to be uncritical can cause hearing damage.
Decrease the volume level immediately if you experience ringing in your ears or hearing impairment. If this is not possible, keep a greater distance or use suffi‐ cient ear protectors.
CAUTION! Risk of injury due to heavy weight
Due to the heavy weight of the device, at least two persons are required for trans‐ port and installation.

NOTICE! Risk of fire
Do not cover the device nor any ventilation slots. Do not place the device near any direct heat source. Keep the device away from naked flames.
NOTICE! Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations.

NOTICE! Power supply
Before connecting the device, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly injure the user.
Unplug the device before electrical storms occur and when it is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.

4 Installation and starting up
Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
Establish all connections as long as the unit is switched off. Use the shortest possible highquality cables for all connections.
CAUTION! Risk of injury due to heavy weight
Due to the heavy weight of the device, at least two persons are required for trans‐ port and installation.

1 [INPUT]
1/4" phone socket to connect your instrument. You can also connect other active signal sources like CD or MP3 players, keyboards, mixers etc. to this input.
2 [GAIN]
Control to adjust the preamp gain of the signal (volume) in channel 1.
3 [VOICE]
Control to adjust the tone colour of the signal in channel 1.
4 [CHANNEL SELECT]
Channel 1 / 2 select switch. The LED of the active channel lights permanently during operation.
5 [GAIN]
Control to adjust the preamp gain of the signal (volume) in channel 2.

7 [COMPRESSOR]
Pushbutton for enabling the built-in compressor. The LED [ACTIVE] lights permanently during operation, when the compressor is enabled. The LED [ON] indicates that
the compressor circuit is active and processes the signal. The signal level at which the compressor processes the signal is affected by the gain controls (the higher the gain, the more the signal is compressed).
8 [7-BAND EQUALIZER]
Use the sliders of the equalizer to shape the sound of the amplifier depending on the frequency. In the zero position, the signal is reproduced unchanged.
9 [LIMIT OFF]
Pushbutton for enabling or disabling the built-in limiter. The limiter monitors the signal level of the amplifier and detects the impedance of a connected speaker automati‐
cally. The protection circuit is automatically activated when the unit is turned on and attenuates an excessive output level to an uncritical level to avoid distortion.
10 [VOLUME]
Overall volume control.

11 [CD / LINE IN]
RCA input for connecting a CD player, cassette deck or the like.
12 [D.I. OUT]
Balanced XLR output for connecting the amplifier to a mixer. The amplifier signal is supplied unchanged to the connected mixer.
13 [TUNER OUT]
Output for connecting a tuner (6.35 mm phone socket).
14 [FOOTSWITCH]
Connection for an optional footswitch (6.35 mm phone socket). Use a foot switch to toggle between the channels of the amplifier.
15 [POWER]
Mains switch. Turns the device on and off. If there is no signal input at the [INPUT] jack for 30 minutes, the device will automatically enter standby mode. As
soon as the [INPUT] jack receives a signal again, the device switches back to normal mode.

7 Plug and connection assignment
This chapter will help you select the right cables and plugs to connect your valuable equip‐ ment in such a way that a perfect sound experience is ensured.
Please note these advices, because especially in ‘Sound & Light’ caution is indicated: Even if a plug fits into the socket, an incorrect connection may result in a destroyed power amp, a short circuit or ‘just’ in poor transmission quality!
Unbalanced transmission is mainly used in semi-professional environment and in hifi use. Instrument cables with two conductors (one core plus shielding) are typical representatives of the unbalanced transmission. One conductor is ground and shielding while the signal is trans‐ mitted through the core.
Unbalanced transmission is susceptible to electromagnetic interference, especially at low levels, such as microphone signals and when using long cables.
In a professional environment, therefore, the balanced transmission is preferred, because this enables an undisturbed transmission of signals over long distances. In addition to the conduc‐ tors ‘Ground’ and ‘Signal’, in a balanced transmission a second core is added. This also transfers the signal, but phase-shifted by 180°.

Since the interference affects both cores equally, by subtracting the phase-shifted signals, the interfering signal is completely neutralized. The result is a pure signal without any noise inter‐ ference.
