General Precautions:
1. Read instruction manual completely before using the
electric components of the machine.
2. Do not alter the attachment plug as it is configured in
accordance with the voltage specifications indicated on
the machine.
3. Unplug the machine when not in use.
4. This unit is not intended for outdoor use.
Assembly:
1. Remove the machine from the packaging.
2. Unfasten the screws (2 of them)—one located on the
right side of the machine and one located on the left side
of the machine.
3. Insert comb spreader handle onto axle located on the left
side of the machine. Use the screw to fasten it in place.
(See Fig. 2.1 A).
4. Insert punch handle onto the axle located on the rig ht
side of the machine. Use screw the to fasten it in place.
(See Fig. 2.1 B).

5. Plug the foot pedal into the corresponding socket located
in the back of the machine. (See Fig. 2.2)
6. Connect the power cable to the machine into the corresponding socket located in the back of the machine.

7. Once all the cords are plugged into the machine, the
power cord can then be plugged into an electrical outlet.

Plastic Comb (19 holes)
Punch:
1. Select the appropriate comb size. This can be done using the plastic comb sheet measuring guide located on
the machine. It can also be determined using the following table.
2. Set punch depth control appropriately, corresponding to
the specific comb size being used.
3. Lift the paper support tray up.
4. Slide margin guide to the left or right according to the
size paper being used to allow for proper paper alignment.
5. Insert document into the plastic comb punch throat and
align with the margin guide. (See Fig. 3.1)
6. Pull handle downward to punch document. (See Fig.
3.2)

Bind:
1. Insert comb on metal fingers of the plastic comb
spreader with the plastic comb teeth facing upward. Use
metal hooks to lock the comb into place.
2. Pull the comb spreader handle up so that the plastic
comb opens far enough to accommodate the document
to be bound. (See Fig. 4.1)
3. Thread the paper through the plastic comb teeth.
4. Push the comb spreader handle back to its original position to close the comb. (See Fig. 4.2)

Coil (44 holes)
Punch:
1. Select the appropriate coil size. This can be done using
the coil comb measuring guide.
2. Set punch depth control appropriately, corresponding to
the specific comb size being used.
3. Slide the margin guide to the left or right according to
the size paper being used to allow for proper paper
alignment.
4. Insert document to be punched into the coil comb punch
throat and align with paper stopper. (See Fig. 5.1)
5. Pull down on punch handle to punch paper. (See Fig.
5.2)

Bind:
1. Use the paper alignment tool to align the document.
(See Fig. 6.1)
2. Manually feed the coil into the first 4 or 5 holes of your
document. (See Fig. 6.2)

Bind (continued):
3. Place document against roller ensuring that the coil is in
slight contact with the roller. Tip: Hold document
firmly on both ends with fingers just below the punched
holes. (See Fig. 6.3)
4. Switch power button for coil inserter on (o r press fo ot
pedal). This will propel the coil forward guiding it
through the punched document.
5. Once the document has been bound completely—ie, the
coil has been guided through every hole—move document away from roller. Turn power off.
6. Use coil crimpers to cut and crimp the excess coil at
both ends. (See Fig. 6.4)

Emptying the Waste Tray:
1. Slide waste tray out of the left hand side of the machine.
