WARNING : When using your dishwasher, follow basic precautions, including the following:
1. Read all instructions befor
e using the dishwasher.
2. Use the dishwasher only for its intended function.
3. Use only detergents or wetting agents recommended for use in a dishwasher and keep them
out of the r
each of children.
4. When loading items to be washed:

locate sharp items so that they are not likely to damage the door seal, and
- load sharp knives with the handles up to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries.
5. Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked "dishwasher safe" or the equivalent. For
plastic items not so marked, check the manufactur
er’s recommendations.
6. Do not touch the HEA
TING ELEMENT during or immediately after use.
7. Do not operate your dishwasher unless all ENCLOSURE panels ar
e properly in place.
8. Do not tamper with contr
ols.
9. Do not abuse, sit on, or stand on the door or dish rack of the dishwasher
.
10. To reduce the risk of injury, do not allow children to play in or on a dishwasher.
11. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be pr
oduced in a hot-water system that has
not been used for two weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot-water
system has not been used for such a period, befor
e using the dishwasher turn on all hot-
water faucets and let the water fl ow from each for several minutes. This will r
elease any
accumulated hydr
ogen gas. As the gas is fl ammable, do not smoke or use an open fl
ame
during this time.
12. Remove the door to the washing compartment when r
emoving an old dishwasher fr
om
service or discar
ding it.

• After unpacking the dishwasher
, keep the packaging out of the reach of children.
• The dishwasher is extremely heavy. Do not attempt to move or carry the dishwasher by
yourself. T
wo or more people are needed to move a dishwasher and avoid potential injuries.
• As with any equipment using electricity, water
, and moving parts, potential hazards exist.
• Do not install the dishwasher near electrical components. Keep the dishwasher away from
open fl
ames.
• Install and level your dishwasher on an uncarpeted fl
oor that can support its weight.
• Y
our dishwasher must be properly grounded. Never connect it to an ungr
ounded outlet. See
page 7 for mor
e information on grounding your dishwasher.
• Connect the gr
ound wire to the green ground connector in the terminal box.
• After the dishwasher is installed, check that the drain hose is properly connected and
that ther
e is no leakage fr
om the hose connectors. If the drain hose is loose, it may cause
pr
operty damage.
• The water supply line is susceptible to br
eakage. As time goes by, it becomes less fl
exible.
Check the line periodically. If it is swollen, tor
n, cut, or there is a water leak, r
eplace it
immediately.
