Your RadioShack Personal Alarm
quickly triggers when you press a button or remove the hand strap. It also
detects motion, so you can strategically place it wher e mo tion will t r igger t he
alarm sound and alert you or deter a
thief. It also has a built-in flashlight.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Your personal alarm requires one 9volt battery to power the alarm and
two AA batteries to power the b uilt-in
flashlight. We recommend alkaline
batteries, such as RadioShack Cat.

2. Snap the 9-volt battery’s connector over the 9-volt terminals and
put the battery into the compartment.
3. Place two AA batteries into the
compartment, matching the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked
inside the compartment.
4. Replace the cover.
If the alarm’s sound or light weakens,
replace the batteries.
ALARM TRIGGERING
The alarm triggers when it detects motion, when you press a button, or
when you pull off the hand strap.

Place the alarm on a flat, stable surface. Gently slide

this period you can still change the
alarm’s location. After that, any motion
it detects will trigger the alarm.

To install the batteries:
1. Gently press and push off the battery compartment cover.

When the bulb burns out , slide and l ift
the transparent cover. Turn the bulb
counterclockwise to remove it. Use
Cat. No. 272-1124 as the replacement bulb. Screw in the new bulb and
replace the transparent cover.

• Handle it gently and carefully.
• Use and store the alarm only in normal
temperature environments.
• Keep it away from dust and dirt, .
• Wipe the alarm with a damp cloth
occasionally. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong
detergents on it
• Use only fresh batteries of the required
size and type. Always remove old or
weak batteries. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can destroy electronic
circuits.
Modifying or tam pering with your alarm’s internal components can cause a malfunction
and might invalidate your warranty. If the
alarm does not perform as it should, take it
to your local RadioShack store.
