Makesureyourascaraudiosystem isproperlyfused.Youshouldhavea systemfuseforallcomponents,the fuseshouldbeinstalledwithin18 inchesofthebattery.Connectthis fusedpowerwiretothepositive terminal. Useanotherwirefromthepositive terminaltoyouramplifier(s)positive supplyterminal. Thegroundwirefromtheamplifier(s) shouldbeconnectedtothecapacitors negativeterminal. Asinglewirefromthecapacitor s negativeterminalshouldbeconnected toyourvehicle’schassisground.

whenthereisa18(0.5m)or lessofwirebetweenthecap andtheamplifier(s).
Largeelectrolyticcapacitorsdonot likeheat,oil,grease,water,ormis­treatment.Ifthecapacitorhousing isdeformedduringinstallation, manylayersoffoilmaterialmaybe damagedinsidethecapacitorandit shouldnotbeinstalled.Installina safe,drylocationwithin18(0.5m) oftheamplifier.Observecorrect polarity:positiveterminalismarked witha(+)symbol,negativeterminal isnotmarked.Donotblockthevent plugontopofcap.Ifthecapacitor iswiredinreverseofmarkingonthe captoptheelectrolyticfluidinside thecapacitorwillvent,possibly causingdamagetotheinteriorof yourvehicle.

Thesuppliedchargingbulb(included inthepackage)isusedwheninitially chargingtheCap.thechargingprocess isaccomplishedbyconnectingthe chargingbulbinseriesbetweenthe batteryspositivepostandthe
capacitorspositiveterminal.(plese
refertothediagrambelow).itisvery importanttofollowthisprocessto
eliminatethepossibilityofdamaging
thecap/battery,andotheraudio devices.Thechargingprocessis completewhenthevoltageofthe capacitorreachesthesamevoltage
asyourvehiclesbattery.Thisprocess
willtakeamatterofsecondsto
complete.Youcanuseavoltagemeter
tocheckthevoltageacrossyour batteryandcup.whenthevoltages arethesameonboth(capandbattery), thecaphasbeenfullycharged.The chargingbulbactuallyeliminatesthe needforthevoltmeter,whenthecap isfullycharged(capandbatteryhave samevoltage)thebulbwillgoeither dimorfullyout.
