Controls and Their Use |
Sub-woofer control for adjustment of low range sound to the desired level.
Sub-woofer phase switching device for smooth blending of sub woofer output and output from other speakers.
Stereo or monaural selection, in accordance with the power amplifier and the sub-woofer being used.
A cross-over frequency modulation function is included that enables you to alter low path filter and high path filter cross over frequencies to match them to the car's acoustics and speakers, as well as to your sound preferences.

0 Cross-over frequency modulator
The modulator can alter cross-over frequencies at the upper end of the subwoofer's low range and at the lower end of the rear speaker's high and middle ranges. Since alteration of cross-over frequencies need to match the car's acoustics, your speakers, and the music you play, it should be done while you are actually listening to music.

0 Cross-over frequency modulator
The modulator can alter cross-over frequencies at the upper end of the subwoofer's low range and at the lower end of the rear speaker's high and middle ranges. e Sub-woofer phase/stereo-monaural switch
Allows switching of the phase of the sub-woofer speaker and stereo-monaural switching of the sub-woofer output. Choose stereo-monaural, before phase switching.
Stereo-monaural switching
Switch to STEREO for stereo output and to MONO for monaural output. MONO provides the same sound to "L" and "R" sub woofer terminals. Choose output suitable to your amplifier and sub-woofer speaker.
Phase switching
Usually this switch is left in the NOR (normal) position. Set to the REV (reverse phase) position to switch the phase to accommodate for speaker position and music type.
O Sub-woofer level control
Allows adjustment of the output level of the sub-woofer speaker. Use this control to adjust the low range of the output.
& Sub-woofer phase/stereo-monaural switch
Allows switching of the phase of the sub-woofer speaker and stereo-monaural switching of the sub-woofer output. Choose stereo-monaural, before phase switching.
Stereo-monaural switching

Connecting the Units
Before making final connections, make temporary connections then operate the unit to check for any connecting cord prob lems.
Refer to the owner's manual for details on connecting the unit to the RCA pin jacks of a car stereo or to a power amplifier, then make connections correctly.
This unit can only be connected to a car stereo with RCA pin jacks.
Connecting the Units
Before making final connections, make temporary connections then operate the unit to check for any connecting cord prob lems.
Refer to the owner's manual for details on connecting the unit to the RCA pin jacks of a car stereo or to a power amplifier, then make connections correctly.
This unit can only be connected to a car stereo with RCA pin jacks.

Installation
Use only the parts included with the unit to ensure proper installation. The use of unauthorized parts can cause malfunc tions.
Be sure to install the unit in a place where the driver is not bothered and where there is no danger of passengers being injured in case of sudden stops.
Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle.
Rain water easily gets on the floor near the door. Also, don't make an installation on the driver seat base because it may interfere with the driver.
To prevent short-circuits, be sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal before wiring the system up.
When you finish the installation, be sure to make one more check to be sure everything is done correctly. Reinstall all car parts that were removed. Reconnect the negative battery lead.

To assure proper operation of the unit, keep the vehicle interior temperature within a normal range using the vehicle's air conditioner of heater.
Keep the sound level low enough to let you hear the outside of your car.
Enough care must be taken against battery overdischarge causd by long operation of the set at a high sound level when the engine is not running or is idling.
When replacing fuses, be sure to use only fuses of the rating prescribed on the fuse holder.

La position MONO donne le même son aux bornes de haut-parleur infra-grave "L" (gauche) et "R" (droite). Choisir la sortie qui convient à Tamplificateur et aux haut-parleur infra-grave.
Commutation de phase
Habituellement, on laisse ce commutateur sur la position NOR (phase normale). Le mettre sur la position REV (phase inverse) pour commuter la phase pour adaptation à la position du hautparleur et au type de musique.
O Commande de niveau de haut-parleur infra-grave
Permet le réglage du niveau de sortie du haut-parleur infra-grave. Utiliser cette commande pour régler les graves.
Connexion des Unités
Avant d'effectuer les connexions finales, effectuer des con nexions provisoires, puis faire fonctionner l'unité afin de déceler tout problème dans les cordons de connexion.
Pour les détails concernant le branchement de l'unité aux jacks RCA à broche d'un appareil auto-stéréo ou à un amplificateur de puissance, se reporter au mode d'emploi puis faire les con nexions corectement.
Cette unité ne peut être branchée qu'à un appareil auto-stéréo muni de jacks RCA à broche.
