Important
Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.
,Check if the voltage indicated on the back of the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
,If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
,Do not use the appliance if the mains cord or mains plug is damaged.
,This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
,Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
,If the wall socket used to power the appliance has poor connections, the plug of the appliance becomes hot. Make sure you plug the appliance into a properly connected wall socket.

,Do not use the appliance in a room with major temperature changes, as this may cause condensation inside the appliance.
,To prevent interference, place the appliance at least 2m away from electrical appliances that use airborne radio waves such as TVs, radios and radio-controlled clocks.
,The appliance is equipped with a safety device.If you have not placed the particle filter,the gas filter and the front panel properly,you cannot switch on the appliance.
,If the indoor air quality is poor (e.g. due to smoking or cooking or after renovation), we strongly advise you to open windows when you use the appliance to improve the air circulation.
,The appliance is only intended for household use under normal operating conditions.
,Do not use the appliance in wet surroundings or in surroundings with high ambient temperatures, such as the bathroom or kitchen.
,The appliance does not remove carbon monoxide (CO).
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.
Before first use
Placing the gas filter
The appliance comes with all filters, except the gas filter, fitted inside.
Tip:Place the appliance against a wall for better stability when you remove or insert filters. Note:Make sure you insert the filters in the correct position (with the arrow facing upwards).
Note:The appliance is equipped with a safety device.If you have not placed the particle filter,the gas filter and the front panel properly,you cannot switch on the appliance.
1Place your fingers in the recesses of the side panels. (Fig.2)
2Gently pull the top part of the front panel off the appliance (1) and then lift the panel upwards to remove it (2) (Fig.3).
3To remove the particle filter,grab the filter handles on both sides and gently slide the filter out of the appliance. (Fig.4)
4 Remove all packaging material from the gas filter and slide the filter into the appliance.(Fig.5)
,You can only insert the gas filter after you have removed the particle filter.

Using the appliance
AC4064/AC4054
1Put the plug in the wall socket
,The standby light goes on (Fig.8).
2Press the function selection button one or more times to select the required function and setting (Fig.9).
The corresponding light goes on and the standby light goes out.
,SmartAir Control: the built-in air sensor determines the ambient air quality and automatically selects the most appropriate speed.In the first few minutes after you select the SmartAir

Control function,the air quality indicator flashes red to indicate that the air quality sensor is measuring the ambient air quality.After approximately 5 minutes,the air quality indicator lights up green if the air quality is good or lights up red if the air quality is poor (Fig.10).
,BoostPower: the appliance operates at high speed for 30 minutes (BoostPower light is on) and then automatically switches to Smart Air Control (BoostPower light goes out and
SmartAir Control light goes on) (Fig.11).
,Speed: the appliance operates at the speed you select.
-ê = low speed
-ë = medium speed
-í = high speed
3To stop the appliance from operating, press the function selection button until the standby light goes on (Fig.12).
4Unplug the appliance.
Timer function
1Put the plug in the wall socket and select the required function and setting as described above.
2 Press the timer button to set the operating time (1,4 or 8 hours) (Fig.13).
,The corresponding timer light goes on (Fig.14).
,To deactivate the timer function, press the timer button and keep it pressed until the timer light goes out.
,When the set time has elapsed, the appliance automatically switches to standby mode.
Note:If you want to stop the air cleaning process before the set time has elapsed,press the function selection button until the standby light goes on.

1Put the plug in the wall socket
2Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance. (Fig.15)
3 Set the speed slide to the desired speed:low,medium or high (Fig.16).

4 Press the on/off button to switch off the appliance and unplug the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug the appliance before you clean it.
Do not clean the body of the appliance,the particle filter and the gas filter with water or any other liquid or detergent.
Do not touch the corona field charger when you clean the appliance.
Body of the appliance
Regularly clean the inside and outside of the body to prevent dust from collecting on the inside and outside.
1Wipe away dust with a dry, soft cloth from the body of the appliance.
2Clean the air inlet and the air outlet with a vacuum cleaner.

Air quality sensor
If the air quality sensor is dirty, it becomes unreliable.
1Remove dirt with a soft brush or with a vacuum cleaner.
Particle filter and gas filter
1Remove the filters from the appliance (see chapter‘Filter replacement’,section‘Removing the filters’).
2Remove visible dirt with a vacuum cleaner.
Never clean the particle filter and the gas filter with water or any other liquid or detergent. If the filters get wet,dispose of them and replace them with new filters.
Note:Under normal usage conditions,we advise you to place the gas filter in direct sunlight in a room with natural ventilation for 3-4 hours every 4 months.This helps maintain good filter performance and prolongs the life of the filter.In case of more extreme usage conditions (smoking environment,just renovated room,non-domestic use etc.) and more frequent use,you have to do this more often.
Pre-filter
1Clean the pre-filter with a vacuum cleaner.
Note:You can also clean the pre-filter in water.
2If you have cleaned the pre-filter in water,properly dry it before you place it back into the appliance.
Filter replacement
Particle filter
,In case of normal household use in a non-smoking environment and proper maintenance (see chapter‘Cleaning and maintenance’),the particle filter lasts approx.5 years.
,Replace the particle filter when the filter colour matches the appropriate colour of the appropriate section of the filter replacement label.
Filter replacement label
,The appliance (and each new filter) comes with a filter replacement label with two sections: (Fig.17)
-a section with a dark brown colour (the colour of tobacco stains) for smoking environments;
-a section with a dark grey colour (the colour of dirt and dust) for non-smoking environments.
You can stick the filter replacement label on the side of the particle filter surface for your reference.
, A new particle filter is available under the following type numbers:
-AC4105 for CleanAir System AC4054/AC4052
-AC4106 for CleanAir System AC4064/AC4062
Gas filter
In case of normal household use and proper maintenance (see chapter‘Cleaning and maintenance’), the gas filter lasts approx. 5 years.
Note:You may need to replace the gas filter sooner in case of more extreme usage conditions (smoking environment,just renovated room,non-domestic use etc.) and insufficient maintenance.
,Replace the gas filter if it does not remove odours quickly and properly anymore.
,A new gas filter is available under the following type numbers:
-AC4115 for CleanAir System AC4054/AC4052
-AC4116 for CleanAir System AC4064/AC4062

Removing the filters
Tip:Place the appliance against a wall for better stability while you remove or insert filters.
1Place your fingers in the recesses of the side panels.Gently pull the top part of the front panel off the appliance (1) and then lift the panel upwards to remove it (2) (Fig.3).

There may be a connection problem. Check if the plug is inserted in the wall socket properly.
The appliance may not be switched on. AC4064/AC4054: press the function selection button. AC4062/AC4052: press the on/off button.
The particle filter, the gas filter or the front panel may not be placed properly. Reinsert the filters and reattach the front panel.
If you have performed the above checks and the appliance still does not work, it may be malfunctioning. Unplug the appliance and take it to your Philips dealer or an authorised Philips service centre.
The pre-filter may be clogged. Clean the pre-filter (see chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).
Perhaps you forgot to remove the plastic wrapper of a new filter.
Remove the plastic wrapper before you switch on the appliance again.
The air inlet or outlet may be blocked by external objects. Remove the object that blocks the air inlet or outlet.
The gas filter may be dirty or may have reached the end of its life. Clean the gas filter (see chapter‘Cleaning and maintenance’) or replace it (see chapter‘Filter replacement’).
Perhaps you use the appliance in a room in which the ambient air quality is very poor. In this case, open windows to improve the air circulation.
Perhaps you use the appliance in a room that is much bigger than the room size the appliance is intended for. Put the appliance in a smaller room.The recommended room size is up to 20m² for AC4054/AC4052 and 40m² for AC4064/AC4062.
The particle filter may have reached the end of its life. Check the colour of the particle filter (see chapter‘Filter Replacement’) and replace the filter, if necessary.

Menempatkan saringan gas
Alat ini dilengkapi dengan semua saringan, kecuali saringan gas, yang sudah terpasang di dalam.
Tip:Tempatkan alat pada dinding agar lebih stabil sewaktu Anda melepaskan atau memasang saringan. Catatan:Pastikan Anda memasang saringan pada posisi yang benar (tanda panah menghadap ke atas).
Catatan:Alat ini dilengkapi dengan pengaman.Jika Anda belum menempatkan saringan partikel, saringan gas dan panel depan dengan benar,Anda tidak dapat menghidupkan alat.
1Letakkan jari Anda di lekukan panel samping. (Gbr. 2)
2Perlahan-lahan tarik bagian atas panel depan hingga terlepas dari alat (1) lalu angkat panel ke atas untuk melepaskannya (2) (Gbr. 3).
3Untuk melepaskan saringan partikel, genggam pegangan saringan pada kedua samping lalu perlahan-lahan geser saringan keluar dari alat. (Gbr. 4)

Menggunakan alat
AC4064/AC4054
1Masukkan steker ke stopkontak di dinding.
,Lampu siaga akan menyala (Gbr.8).
2Tekan tombol pemilihan fungsi satu atau beberapa kali untuk memilih fungsi dan pengaturan yang diperlukan (Gbr.9).

Lampu yang bersangkutan akan menyala dan lampu siaga padam.
,SmartAir Control: sensor udara yang terpasang menentukan kualitas udara di sekitar dan otomatis memilih kecepatan yang paling sesuai. Pada beberapa menit pertama setelah Anda memilih fungsi SmartAir Control, indikator kualitas udara berkedip merah yang menandakan bahwa sensor kualitas udara sedang mengukur kualitas udara di sekitar.
Setelah kira-kira 5 menit,indikator kualitas udara menyala hijau jika kualitas udara bagus atau menyala merah jika kualitasnya buruk (Gbr. 10).
,BoostPower: alat yang bekerja pada kecepatan tinggi selama 30 menit (lampu BoostPower menyala) kemudian secara otomatis beralih ke Smart Air Control (lampu BoostPower padam dan lampu SmartAir Control menyala) (Gbr. 11).

3Untuk menghentikan alat, tekan tombol pemilihan fungsi sampai lampu siaga padam (Gbr. 12).
4Cabut steker alat dari listrik.
FungsiTimer
1Masukkan steker ke dalam stopkontak di dinding lalu pilih fungsi dan pengaturan yang diperlukan seperti diuraikan di atas.
2Tekan tombol timer untuk menyetel waktu operasi (1,4 atau 8 jam) (Gbr.13).
,Lampu timer yang bersangkutan akan menyala (Gbr. 14).
,Untuk menonaktifkan fungsi timer, tekan terus tombol timer sampai lampu timer padam.
,Setelah waktu yang ditetapkan berlalu, alat secara otomatis beralih ke modus siaga.
Catatan:Jika Anda ingin menghentikan proses pembersihan udara sebelum waktu yang ditetapkan berlalu,tekan tombol pemilihan fungsi sampai lampu siaga padam.

Pembersihan dan perawatan
Selalu cabut kabel listrik sebelum Anda membersihkan alat ini.
Jangan bersihkan badan alat, saringan partikel dan saringan gas dengan air atau cairan lain atau deterjen.
Jangan sentuh alat pengisi di bagian korona saat Anda membersihkan alat.
Badan alat
Bersihkan bagian dalam dan bagian luar badan alat secara teratur untuk mencegah agar debu tidak menumpuk di bagian dalam dan luar.

Sensor kualitas udara
Jika sensor kualitas udara kotor, sensor menjadi tidak bisa diandalkan.
1Hilangkan kotoran dengan sikat halus atau dengan vacuum cleaner.
Saringan partikel dan saringan gas
1Lepaskan saringan dari alat (lihat bab‘Penggantian saringan’,bagian‘Melepaskan saringan’).
2Hilangkan kotoran yang terlihat dengan vacuum cleaner.
Jangan sekali-kali membersihkan saringan partikel dan saringan gas dengan air atau cairan lain atau deterjen. Jika saringan menjadi basah, buang dan ganti dengan saringan baru.
Catatan:Di bawah kondisi penggunaan normal,kami sarankan agar Anda menaruh saringan gas di tempat yang langsung terkena matahari di ruangan dengan ventilasi alami selama 3-4 jam setiap 4 bulan.Hal ini membantu menjaga kinerja saringan tetap baik dan memperpanjang masa pakainya.Pada kondisi penggunaan yang lebih ekstrem (lingkungan merokok,ruangan baru direnovasi,penggunaan nondomestik,dsb.) dan penggunaan yang lebih sering,Anda harus melakukan ini lebih sering.
Pra-saring
1 Bersihkan pra-saringan dengan vacuum cleaner.
Catatan:Anda juga dapat membersihkan pra-saringan dalam air.
2Jika Anda sudah membersihkan pra-saringan dalam air, keringkan yang benar sebelum mengembalikan alat ke tempatnya.
Penggantian saringan
Saringan partikel
,Jika digunakan secara normal di lingkungan rumah-tangga yang tidak merokok dan pemeliharaannya terjaga baik,(lihat bab‘Pembersihan dan perawatan’),saringan partikel dapat bertahan sekitar 5 tahun.
,Ganti saringan partikel apabila warna saringan cocok dengan warna yang sesuai di bagian label penggantian saringan .
Label penggantian saringan
,Alat (dan setiap saringan baru) dilengkapi label penggantian saringan yang terdiri dari dua bagian: (Gbr. 17)
-bagian berwarna cokelat tua (warna noda tembakau) untuk lingkungan merokok;

Saringan gas
Jika digunakan secara normal di lingkungan rumah-tangga dan perawatannya terjaga (lihat bab ‘Pembersihan dan perawatan’), saringan gas bisa bertahan kira-kira 5 tahun.
Catatan:Anda mungkin harus mengganti saringan gas lebih cepat jika digunakan dalam kondisi yang lebih ekstrem (lingkungan merokok,ruangan yang baru direnovasi,penggunaan non-domestik,dsb.) dan perawatan yang tidak memadai.
,Ganti saringan gas jika tidak lagi dapat menghilangkan bau tak sedap dengan cepat dan sebagaimana mestinya.

Melepaskan saringan
TipTempatkan alat pada dinding agar lebih stabil sewaktu Anda melepaskan atau memasang saringan.
1Taruh jari Anda pada lekukan di samping panel. Perlahan-lahan, tarik bagian atas panel depan hingga terlepas dari alat (1) lalu angkat panel ke atas untuk melepaskannya (2) (Gbr. 3).
2Untuk melepaskan saringan partikel, genggam pegangan saringan pada kedua samping lalu perlahan-lahan geser saringan keluar dari alat. (Gbr. 4)
3Untuk melepaskan saringan gas,geser hingga saringan keluar dari alat (Gbr.18).
,Anda hanya dapat melepaskan saringan gas setelah Anda melepaskan saringan partikel.
4Untuk melepaskan pra-saringan,geser hingga keluar dari alat (Gbr.19).
Memasang saringan
Tip:Tempatkan alat pada dinding agar lebih stabil sewaktu Anda melepaskan atau memasang saringan. Catatan:Pastikan Anda memasang saringan pada posisi yang benar (tanda panah menghadap ke atas).
Catatan:Alat ini dilengkapi dengan pengaman.Jika Anda belum menempatkan saringan partikel, saringan gas dan panel depan dengan benar,Anda tidak dapat menghidupkan alat.
