Sicherheitshinweise

Dieses Gerät arbeitet, wie Mobiltelefone, mit Funksignalen und Mobilfunknetzen sowie vom Benutzer programmierten Funktionen. Daher kann der Verbindungsaufbau nicht in allen Situationen garantiert werden. Aus diesem Grund sollten Sie sich nicht ausschließlich auf das Gerät verlassen, wenn es um lebenswichtige Kommunikation (z.B. medizinische Notfälle) geht. Denken Sie daran, dass Sie mit dem Gerät nur dann telefonieren können wenn es eingeschaltet ist und sich in einem

Bereich mit ausreichender Signalstärke bendet.

Notrufe können nur mit einer vom Netzbetreiber aktivierten SIM-Karte aufgebaut werden. Unter Umständen können sie nicht in allen Mobilfunknetzen getätigt werden. Möglicherweise können Notrufe auch nicht getätigt werden, wenn bestimmte Netzdienste und/oder Telefonfunktionen aktiviert oder deaktiviert sind.

Verkehrssicherheit

Benutzen Sie während der Fahrt nur die Freisprechfunktion des Gerätes. Der Handapparat darf nur bei Stillstand des Fahrzeuges verwendet werden. Befestigen Sie den Handapparat stets in seiner Halterung; legen Sie den Handapparat nicht auf den Sitz oder an einen Ort, von dem er sich bei einer Kollision oder einem plötzlichen Bremsmanöver lösen kann. Die Freisprecheinrichtung ist nur aktiv, wenn sich der Handapparat in seiner

Aufnahme bendet.

Betriebsumgebung

Beachten Sie bei der Benutzung des Telefons die gesetzlichen Vorschriften und lokale Einschränkungen. Schalten Sie das Gerät überall dort aus, wo Sie durch entsprechende Warnhinweise dazu aufgefordert werden, z.B. in der Nähe von Kraftstoff und/oder entzündlichen Chemikalien.

Gesundheit

Die Funktion medizinischer Geräte, wie Herzschrittmachern, kann gestört werden. Halten Sie deshalb stets einen Mindestabstand von 20 cm zwischen den Antennen dieses Gerätes und dem Herzschrittmacher ein. Halten Sie während eines Gesprächs das Telefon an das vom Herzschrittmacher weiter entfernte Ohr. Wenden Sie sich für weitere Informationen an Ihren Arzt.

Elektronische Geräte

Hochfrequente Signale können unter Umständen die Funktion von nicht ordnungsgemäß installierten oder nicht ausreichend abgeschirmten elektronischen Systemen im Fahrzeug beeinträchtigen.

Zubehör

Verwenden Sie nur Zubehör, das für den Einsatz an diesem Gerät zugelassen ist. Der Einsatz von nicht zugelassenem Zubehör führt zum Verlust der Gewährleistung. Erkundigen Sie sich bei Ihrem Händler oder beim Hersteller nach zugelassenem Zubehör.

Wartung, Installation und Reparaturen

Nur qualiziertes Fachpersonal darf dieses Gerät

warten, installieren und/oder reparieren. Das Gerät darf nicht geöffnet werden. Jede Manipulation am Gerät ist unzulässig und führt zum Verlust der Gewährleistung.

Netzdienste

Einige Funktionen des Gerätes werden als Netzdienste bezeichnet. Netzdienste sind Zusatzleistungen, die auf Wunsch des Benutzers vom Netzanbieter bereitgestellt werden. Bevor der Benutzer davon Gebrauch machen kann, muss er die Berechtigung zur Nutzung dieser Dienste von seinem Anbieter erworben haben. Einige Netze unterstützen möglicherweise nicht alle Dienste.

Montagehinweise & Installation

Vorsichtsmaßnahmen vor dem Einbau

Das Gerät darf nur von qualiziertem Fachpersonal in das Fahrzeug eingebaut und gewartet werden. Bei fehlerhafter Installation können Schäden am Fahrzeug entstehen. Fehlerhafte Montagen oder Wartungen können gefährliche Folgen haben und führen zum Verlust der Gewährleistung und ggf. der Betriebserlaubnis Ihres Fahrzeuges.

Bedenken Sie bei Fahrzeugen, die mit einem Airbag ausgestattet sind, dass der Airbag mit großer Wucht gefüllt wird. Bringen Sie keine Komponenten in dem vom gefüllten Airbag beanspruchten Bereich an.

Vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes muss die UMTSund, bei einem Gerät mit integriertem GPS-Modul, die GPS-Antenne (Antennen sind nicht Bestandteil des Lieferumfangs) angeschlossen sein. Das Gerät darf nicht ohne Antenne/n betrieben werden, da dies zur Zerstörung des Gerätes führen kann.

Bei modernen Fahrzeugen müssen, nach dem Anklemmen der Fahrzeugbatterie, unter Umständen Einstellungen vorgenommen werden. Ziehen Sie hierzu unbedingt die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Fahrzeuges zur Hilfe heran.

Nachlaufzeit

Nach Ausschalten der Zündung läuft das Gerät gemäß der eingestellten Zeit nach und schaltet sich dann aus.

Montagehinweise & Installation

Reihenfolge der Installation

Machen Sie sich mit dem Anschlüssen (Seite 5)

vertraut. Klemmen Sie den Minuspol der Fahrzeugbatterie ab und beachten Sie dabei die Sicherheitshinweise des Kfz-Herstellers.

Wählen Sie die Montageplätze für die Elektro-

nikbox, den Handapparat, den Lautsprecher, das Freisprechmikrofon und die Antenne/n unter Beachtung der Kabellängen und Montagehinweise aus und montieren Sie die Komponenten. Achten Sie beim Bohren von Löchern darauf, dass keine Fahrzeugteile beschädigt werden. Verwenden Sie an scharfkantigen Löchern Kabeldurchführungen.

Installieren Sie das mitgelieferte Freisprechmik-

rofon ME15 evo gemäß der „Mikrofonmontage“. Die beste Entfernung zum Mund beträgt ca. 30 cm. Luftströme aus der Lüftung sollten nicht in Richtung Mikrofon zeigen (siehe auch „Montageorte für Mikrofon“). Anschließend installieren Sie den Lautsprecher (eine sehr gute Position ist der untere Beifahrerfußraum). Achten Sie bei der Montage von Mikrofon und Lautsprecher auf eine ausreichend große räumliche Trennung, um einen akustischen Kurzschluss zu vermeiden. Bei besonders lauter Umgebung kann auch das ME251 (Schwanenhalsmikrofon mit Richtcharakteristik) aus unserem Zubehörprogramm eingesetzt werden.

Schließen Sie das Stromversorgungskabel (rot)

an Dauerplus und den Zündungseingang (gelb/ schwarz) an die Zündung an. Schließen Sie den Zündungseingang (gelb/schwarz) nicht auf Dauerplus, da dies den Funktionsumfang des Gerätes einschränkt (siehe Seite 6 „Nachlaufzeit“). Der Anschluss des Massekabels erfolgt direkt an der Fahrzeugbatterie, dem zentralen Masse-

punkt (Masseblock) oder einem Teil der Fahrzeugkarosserie. Die Masseverbindung ist über die mitgelieferte Leitungssicherung S3 abzusi- chern.

Verbinden Sie das violette Kabel mit dem MuteEingang des Autoradios. Dies gewährleistet die automatische Radiostummschaltung bei einund ausgehenden Anrufen.

Isolieren Sie nicht benutzte Kabel so, dass keine Kurzschlüsse entstehen können.

Verbinden Sie die einzelnen Komponenten des Gerätes über die Steck- und Schraubverbindungen mit den Buchsen am VDA-Kabel und der Elektronikbox.

Prüfen Sie die Gesamtmontage und legen Sie eine gültige SIM-Karte ein. Klemmen Sie die Fahrzeugbatterie an und schalten Sie die Zündung ein.

Das Gerät schaltet sich nun ein und fordert die Eingabe der PIN (falls diese auf der SIM-Karte nicht deaktiviert wurde).

Geben Sie die PIN ein. Das Telefon registriert sich nun im Netz.

Bauen Sie einen Anruf auf um die Grundfunktionen des Gerätes zu überprüfen.

Nehmen Sie bei Bedarf persönliche Einstellungen am Gerät vor und schließen Sie die Installation ab.

Inbetriebnahme & Einstellungen

SIM-Karte einsetzen

Zum Betrieb des Gerätes ist eine gültige und aktivierte SIM-Karte erforderlich. Diese erhalten Sie bei Ihrem Netzanbieter. Sie speichert alle wichtigen Daten Ihres Anschlusses.

Setzen Sie die SIM-Karte in den SIM-Kartenschieber D ein. Achten Sie hierbei auf die lagerichtige Einführung. Es ist kein größerer Kraftaufwand notwendig.

Setzen Sie die SIM-Karte nur ein, wenn das Gerät und die Zündung des Fahrzeugs ausgeschaltet sind.

PIN eingeben

Ist die Eingabe der PIN erforderlich, so werden Sie beim Starten des Gerätes mit einer entsprechenden Meldung aufgefordert diese einzugeben. Geben Sie die PIN über die Eingabetasten ein und bestätigen Sie Ihre Eingabe mit WEITER. Eine Korrektur können Sie mit LÖSCHEN vornehmen. Damit Ihre PIN nicht eingesehen werden kann, werden Eingaben mit einem Stern angezeigt. Die darauf folgende Anmeldung im Netz kann einige Sekunden dauern.

Ein-/Ausschalten

Das Gerät schaltet sich mit der Zündung des Fahrzeugs ein. Ausgeschaltet wird es durch Abstellen der Zündung, verzögert um die eingestellte Nachlaufzeit (Standard = 15 Min.). Unabhängig vom Zündungssignal kann das Gerät auch durch langes Drücken der Ein-/Aus-Taste ein- und ausgeschaltet werden.

Lautstärke einstellen

Die Lautstärke für Freisprech- und Privatmodus sind getrennt regelbar und können nur während eines aktiven Gespräches im jeweiligen Modus mit den Navigationstasten HOCH und RUNTER verändert werden.

Mikrofon stumm schalten

Während eines Gespräches können Sie das aktive Mikrofon mit der Taste Mikrofon Mute stumm schalten. Bei stumm geschaltetem Mikrofon erscheint anstelle des Lautstärkesymbols das Stummschaltungssymbol. Nach dem Gesprächsende wird die Stummschaltung automatisch aufgehoben.

Nach dreimaliger Falscheingabe der PIN wird die SIM-Karte gesperrt. Zum Entsperren werden Sie zur Eingabe der PUK aufgefordert.

Zeichentabellen

Durch wiederholtes Drücken der Eingabetasten kann im Editor - beispielsweise beim Schreiben einer SMS - zwischen den verfügbaren Zeichen der jeweiligen Taste geblättert werden. Der Wechsel zwischen Groß- und Kleinschriftmodus erfolgt durch Betätigen der #-Taste.

Safety instructions

Emergency calls 112/911

Like every other mobile telephone, this device

functions with radio signals, mobile radio and with user-programmed functions. A connection can therefore not be guaranteed in all situations. For this reason, you should not rely entirely upon the device in cases of vitally important communication (e.g. medical emergencies). Remember that you can only make and receive calls with the device when it

is switched on and in a service area with sufcient

signal strength. Emergency calls can only be made with a SIM card activated by the network provider. Under certain circumstances, emergency calls cannot be made in all mobile radio networks. It is also possible that they cannot be made if certain network services and/or telephone functions have been activated or deactivated.

Trafc safety

While driving only use the hands-free function of the device. The handset must only be used for calls when the vehicle is stationary. Always fasten the handset in its holder; do not place the handset on the seat or a place from which it can come free in a collision or a sudden braking manoeuvre. The hands-free arrangement is only active if the handset is in its rest.

Operating environment

Please observe legal regulations and local restrictions when using the device. Switch the device off where this is requested by corresponding warning signs or where dangers could arise, e.g. close to

fuel and/or ammable chemicals.

Health

The functioning of medical devices such as heart pacemakers can be disrupted. Therefore please keep a minimum distance of at least 20 cm between the telephone and pacemakers. During a conversation hold the telephone to the ear furthest away from the pacemaker. For further information please consult your doctor.

Electronic devices

Under certain circumstances high frequency signals can impair the function of incorrectly ins-

talled or insufciently shielded electronic systems

in the vehicle.

Accessories

Only use accessories that are approved for use with this device. The use of non-approved accessories leads to loss of the warranty. Ask your dealer or the manufacturer about approved accessories.

Maintenance, installation and repairs

Only qualied specialist personnel can maintain,

install and/or repair this device. The device must not be opened. Any change to the device is not permitted and leads to the loss of the warranty.

Network services

Some functions of this device are known as network services. Network services are additional services that are made available by the network provider at the request of the user. Before the user can make use of them, he must have acquired the authorisation to use these services from his provider. It is possible that some networks do not support all services.

Assembly instructions & installation

Precautionary measures prior to installation

The device must only be installed in the vehicle

and serviced by qualied specialist personnel.

Incorrect installation can cause damages to the vehicle. Incorrect installation or maintenance can have dangerous consequences and lead to the loss of the warranty and possibly of the operating licence of your vehicle.

In vehicles that are equipped with an airbag, ple-

ase be aware that the airbag is inated with great

force. Do not place any rigidly installed or movable equipment in the area that would be occupied by

the inated airbag.

Before the device is used for the rst time, the UMTS

and, in the case of a device with integrated GPS module, the GPS antenna (antennas are not a part of the scope of supply) must be connected. The device must not be operated without antenna/e because this can lead to damages to the device.

In modern vehicles, under certain circumstances, adjustments may have to be carried out after clipping onto the vehicle battery. For this, be sure to consult the operating manual of your vehicle for assistance.

Sequence of installation

Familiarise yourself with the wiring diagram

(page 13). Unclip the negative pole of the vehicle battery, while observing the safety instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.

Select places for installation and install the elec-

tronics box, handset, loudspeakers, hands-free microphone and antenna(s) taking into account the cable lengths and installation instructions. When drilling holes make sure that no vehicle parts become damaged. Use cable bushings where holes have sharp edges.

Install the hands-free microphone ME15 evo in

accordance with the „Microphone installation“. The optimum distance from the mouth is approx.

30 cm. Airows from the ventilation should not go

towards the microphone (see also „Places to Install Microphone“). Then install the loudspeaker (the best position is in the lower front passenger footwell). When installing the microphone and

loudspeaker, make sure that they are sufciently

far apart to prevent an acoustic short-circuit. In an especially loud environment the ME251 (directional gooseneck microphone) from our accessories range can also be used.

Connect the electrical supply cable (red cable) to

permanent positive and the ignition input (yellow/black) to the ignition. Do not place the ignition input (yellow/black) on permanent positive, as this would restrict the device’s functional range (see page 14 „Run-down time“). The earth cable is connected directly to the vehicle battery, the central earth point (earth block) or a part of the vehicle body. The earth connection must be protected with the S3 fuse included in the scope of supply.

Assembly instructions & installation

Connect the violet cable to the mute output of your car radio. This ensures automatic radio muting during incoming or outgoing calls.

Insulate unused cables so that no short circuits can occur.

Connect the individual components of the device via plug and screw connections with the plugs on the VDA cable and the electronics box.

Check the overall installation and insert a valid SIM card. Connect vehicle battery and switch on ignition.

The device now switches on and requests a PIN (if this present response has not already been switched off on the SIM card).

Enter the PIN. The telephone now registers itself in the network.

Make a call to test the basic functions of the device.

Make any personal adjustments to the device and complete the installation.

Start-up & settings

Inserting the SIM card

A valid SIM card is necessary to operate the device. You will need to receive this from your network provider. The SIM card stores all important data relating to your connection.

Insert the SIM card in the SIM card slide D. Make sure that it is in the right position. No great physical force is necessary.

Only insert the SIM card if the device as well as the ignition of the vehicle has been switched off.

Entering the PIN

If it is necessary to enter a PIN, then you will be asked to do this by a corresponding message. Enter the PIN with the input keys and conrm your entry with NEXT. You can correct your entries with DELETE. To prevent your PIN from being seen, input characters are shown with an asterisk. The following registration in the network can take a few seconds.

Switching on / off

The telephone always switches on with the ignition signal of the vehicle. It is switched off by switching off the ignition, delayed by an adjustable run-down time (default = 15 minutes). The telephone can also be switched on or off at any time independent of the ignition signal by a long press on the On/Off-Key.

Adjusting the volume

Volume for hands-free mode and private mode can be adjusted separately and can only be changed during an active call in the respective mode with the navigation keys UP and DOWN.

Muting the microphone

The active microphone can be muted during a conversation with the Microphone Mute key. When the microphone is muted, the mute symbol appears instead of the volume symbol. The muting of the microphone is cancelled at the end of every conversation.

After three incorrect attempts to enter the PIN the SIM card is frozen. To unfreeze the PIN, you will be asked to enter the PUK.

Consignes de sécurité

Appel d‘urgence 112 / 911

Comme tous les téléphones mobiles, cet appareil fonctionne avec des fréquences radioélectriques sur des réseaux de radiocommunication mobile et des fonc-

tions programmées par l‘utilisateur. Il en découle que l‘établissement de la communication ne saurait être garantie en tous temps. Nous vous recommandons, de ce fait, de ne pas vous baser exclusivement sur cet appareil pour les communications à caractère vital (p. ex. les urgences médicales). N‘oubliez jamais que vous ne pouvez émettre et recevoir des appels qu‘à condition que le téléphone soit en circuit et qu‘il se trouve dans une zone disposant d‘une intensité du signal sufsante. L‘établissement des appels d‘urgence pose pour condition de disposer d‘une carte à puce (carte SIM) activée par l‘opérateur de réseau. Il se pourrait que les appels d‘urgence ne puissent pas être effectués sur tous les réseaux de téléphonie mobile. Il se pourrait également que les appels d‘urgence soient impossibles si certains réseaux et/ou certaines fonctions du téléphone ne sont pas activé(e)s ou désactivé(e)s.

Sécurité routière

N‘utilisez que la fonction mains libres de l‘appareil en conduisant. L‘utilisation du combiné n‘est que permis tant que le véhicule est immobilisé. Placez toujours le combiné sur son support ; ne posez pas le combiné sur le siège ou en un endroit d’où il risquerait d‘être projeté lors d’une collision ou d’un freinage brusque. Le dispositif mains libres est uniquement actif si le combiné est placé dans son support.

Environnement d‘utilisation

Respectez toujours les dispositions légales et les contraintes locales en utilisant le téléphone. Éteignez l‘appareil chaque fois que des avertissements appropriés vous y invitent, p. ex. à proximité de combustibles

et/ou de produits chimiques inammables.

Santé

Le téléphone risque de perturber le fonctionnement de certains appareils médicaux tels que les stimulateurs cardiaques. Respectez par conséquent toujours une distance minimale de 20 cm entre l‘antenne de cet appareil et le stimulateur cardiaque. Placez l‘appareil sur l‘oreille la plus éloignée du stimulateur cardiaque durant la communication. Demandez conseil à votre médecin pour obtenir de plus amples renseignements.

Appareils électroniques

Les signaux à haute fréquence peuvent perturber le fonctionnement de systèmes électroniques incorrec-

tement installés ou insufsamment protégés dans le

Avis de montage & installation

Précautions préalables au montage

L‘installation et l‘entretien de l‘appareil demeurent réservés au domaine de compétence de per-

sonnes qualiées. Une installation erronée risque

d‘endommager le véhicule. Les montages ou travaux de maintenance incorrects peuvent avoir des conséquences graves et provoquer l‘extinction de la garantie, voire l‘interdiction d’utiliser votre véhicule.

N‘oubliez pas, en cas de véhicules équipés d‘un airbag, que ce dernier subit une forte pression lors de

son gonement. Évitez de monter des composants dans la zone soumise à l‘impact de l‘airbag goné.

Avant de mettre l’appareil en service, branchez l’antenne UMTS et l‘antenne GPS, si votre appareil est équipé d‘un module GPS intégré (les antennes ne sont pas fournies). Il est strictement interdit d‘utiliser l‘appareil sans antenne(s) en prévention de la destruction de l‘appareil au cas contraire.

Certains réglages pourraient s‘avérer nécessaires, au besoin, après le raccordement de la batterie du véhicule sur les véhicules modernes. Consultez impérativement le mode d‘emploi de votre véhicule dans un tel cas.

Chronologie de l‘installation

Familiarisez-vous avec les connecteurs (Page 21).

Débranchez le pôle négatif de la batterie du véhicule en respectant les consignes de sécurité du constructeur automobile.

Choisissez les emplacements pour l‘installation

du boîtier électronique, du combiné, de l‘enceinte, du microphone mains libres et de/ des antenne(s) en tenant compte de la longueur des câbles et en respectant les avis de montage et montez les composants. Évitez d‘endommager les pièces du véhicule en perçant les trous. Servez-vous de passe-câbles pour les trous à bords vifs.

Installez le microphone mains libres ME15 evo

fourni conformément au « Montage du microphone ». La distance idéale par rapport à la bouche est d‘environ 30 cm. Les ux d’air de la ventilation ne doivent pas être dirigés vers le microphone (voir également les « Lieux de montage du microphone »). Installez ensuite l‘enceinte (le bas de l‘espace pieds du passager avant est un très bon emplacement). Il convient, lors du montage du microphone et de l‘enceinte, de laisser

sufsamment de place an d’éviter tout effet

acoustique (court-circuit) indésirable. L‘installation du microphone ME251 (micro col de cygne à caractère directionnel) disponible en accessoire est recommandée dans des environnements très bruyants.

Raccordez le câble d’alimentation (rouge) au

plus permanent et le contact du véhicule (jaune/ noir) au contact. Ne raccordez pas le contact du véhicule (jaune/noir) au plus permanent, étant donné qu‘il risquerait de limiter les fonctions de l‘appareil (voir page 22 « Fonctionnement par inertie »).

Avis de montage & installation

Le raccordement du câble de mise à la masse s‘effectue directement à la batterie du véhicule, à la masse ponctuelle centrale (bloc de masse) ou à une pièce de la carrosserie du véhicule. Sécurisez la connexion à la masse via le fusible S3 fourni.

Reliez le câble violet avec l‘entrée « Mute » (mode muet) de l‘autoradio. Cette connexion se porte garante de la coupure automatique de la radio lors d’appels arrivants et sortants.

Isolez les câbles non utilisés de manière à éviter les courts-circuits.

Reliez les différents composants de l‘appareil

via les raccords enchables et à visser avec les

douilles du câble VDA et le boîtier électronique.

Vériez l‘installation ainsi réalisée et insérez

une carte SIM valable. Branchez la batterie du véhicule et mettez le contact.

L‘appareil se met en marche et vous demande de saisir votre numéro d‘identication personnel = code PIN (s‘il n‘a pas été désactivé sur la carte SIM).

Mise en service & congurations

Insertion de la carte SIM

L‘utilisation de l‘appareil nécessite une carte SIM valable et activée. Cette carte vous est remise par votre fournisseur d‘accès. Elle enregistre toutes les données importantes de votre connexion.

Insérez la carte SIM dans le poussoir D. Veillez à une position d‘insertion correcte. Ne forcez surtout pas.

Insérez la carte SIM uniquement si l‘appareil et le contact du véhicule sont débranchés.

Saisie du code PIN

L‘appareil vous invite à saisir le code PIN via un message correspondant lors du démarrage de l‘appareil. Saisissez le code PIN via les touches de

saisie et validez votre saisie en appuyant sur SUIVANT. Une correction est possible via la touche EFFACER.

L’afchage en cours de saisie du code PIN est masqué par des astérisques. La connexion consécutive au réseau peut durer quelques secondes.

Marche / Arrêt

L‘appareil se met automatiquement en marche à la mise sous tension du contact du véhicule. Il se déconnecte en coupant le contact et en respectant la durée de fonctionnement par inertie alléguée (de 15 minutes en règle générale). Vous pouvez aussi connecter et déconnecter l‘appareil indépendamment de la mise sous tension du contact en appuyant longuement sur la touche MARCHE / ARRÊT.

Réglage du volume

Le volume du mode mains libres et du mode privé

sont réglables séparément et sa modication n‘est

que possible durant une communication active dans le mode respectif via les touches de naviga-

tion HAUT et BAS.

Commutation du microphone en mode muet

Vous pouvez commuter le microphone actif en mode muet (Microphone Muet) pendant la communication. Le pictogramme de commutation du

mode muet s‘afche à la place du pictogramme du

volume si le microphone a été commuté en mode muet. Le mode muet est automatiquement effacé

après la n de la communication.

La carte SIM est bloquée au bout de trois saisies erronées. Le programme vous invite à saisir le code PUK (code de déblocage du code PIN) pour débloquer le code PIN.

112 nödsamtal

I likhet med mobiltelefoner arbetar denna enhet med radiosignaler och mobilradionät och med användarprogrammeradefunktioner. Därför kan uppkoppling inte garanteras i alla situationer och

du bör därför inte förlita dig enbart på denna enhet när det gäller livsviktig kommunikation (t.ex. akuta sjukdomsfall). Kom ihåg att du bara kan ringa med telefonen när den är påslagen och du be-

nner dig i ett område med tillräcklig signalstyrka.

Nödsamtal kan kopplas upp endast med ett SIMkort som har aktiverats av nätoperatören. I vissa fall går det inte att ringa nödsamtal i alla mobilradionät. Det är även möjligt att det inte går att ringa nödsamtal om vissa nätverkstjänster och/ eller telefonfunktioner är aktiverade eller deaktiverade.

Traksäkerhet

Använd endast telefonens handsfree-funktion när du kör. Handsetet får användas endast när fordonet står stilla. Placera alltid handsetet i dess hållare; lägg inte handsetet på sätet eller någon annan plats från vilken det kan slungas iväg vid en krock eller plötslig inbromsning. Handsfree-funktionen är aktiv endast när handsetet sitter i sin hållare.

Driftsmiljö

Följ alla lagar och lokala restriktioner när du använder telefonen. Stäng av telefonen överallt där så begärs med varningsskyltar, t.ex. i närheten av bränsle och/eller antändliga kemikalier.

Elektroniska apparater

Under vissa omständigheter kan högfrekventa signaler störa funktionen hos felaktigt installerade eller otillräckligt skärmade elektroniska system i fordon.

Tillbehör

Använd endast tillbehör som är godkända för användning med denna telefon. Om ej godkända tillbehör används upphör garantin att gälla. Fråga din återförsäljare eller tillverkaren efter godkända tillbehör.

Underhåll, installation och reparation

Endast kvalicerad specialistpersonal får underhålla, installera och/eller reparera denna telefon. Telefonen får inte öppnas. Inga ändringar får göras av telefonen och gjorda ändringar upphäver garantin.

Nätverkstjänster

Vissa funktioner hos telefonen betecknas som nätverkstjänster. Dessa är specialtjänster som användaren kan beställa från sin nätoperatör. Innan användaren kan börja använda dessa funktioner måste han/hon ha fått behörighet av operatören att använda dem. Det är möjligt att vissa nätverk inte stödjer alla tjänster.

Hälsa

Funktionen hos medicinisk utrustning som t.ex. pacemakers kan störas. Håll därför alltid ett minimiavstånd på 20 cm mellan telefonens antenner och pacemakern. Under samtal håller du telefonen mot det öra som ligger längst bort från pacemakern. Rådfråga din läkare för mer information.

Telefonen får installeras i fordonet och underhållas endast av kvalicerad expertpersonal. Vid felaktig installation kan skador uppstå på fordonet. Felaktig installation eller underhåll kan orsaka far-

I fordon som är utrustade med krockkudde måste man tänka på att den blåses upp med stor kraft. Placera inte några komponenter i det utrymme som upptas av den fyllda krockkudden.

Innan enheten används för första gången, måste UMTS- och, om det är en telefon med integrerad GPS-modul, GPS-antennen (antenner ingår inte i leveransomfattningen). anslutas. Telefonen får inte användas utan antenn(er) eftersom det kan leda till att telefonen förstörs.

I moderna fordon måste justeringar i vissa fall utföras efter anslutningen till fordonets batteri. Läs igenom bruksanvisningen till ditt fordon för mer information.

Ordningsföljd för installationen

Se efter hur kopplingsschemat är uppbyggt (si-

dan 29). Koppla bort fordonsbatteriets minuspol och följ därvid säkerhetsanvisningarna från fordonstillverkaren.

Välj installationsplatser för elektronikbox, hand-

set, högtalare, handsfree-mikrofon och antenn med beaktande av sladdlängder och installationsinstruktioner, och montera komponenterna. Var noga med att inte skada fordonet när du borrar hål. Använd kabelgenomföringar till hål med vassa kanter.

Installera den medlevererade handsfree-mikro-

fonen ME15 evo enligt „Mikrofoninstallation“. Det bästa avståndet till munnen är cirka 30 cm.

Luftödet från ventilationen ska inte vara riktat

mot mikrofonen (se även „Installationsplatser för mikrofon“). Därefter ska högtalaren installeras (den bästa platsen är nertill i fotutrymmet för framsätespassageraren). När du installerar

mikrofon och högtalare, se till att de benner sig

tillräckligt långt borta från varandra för att förhindra akustisk kortslutning. I en extra bullrig miljö kan även den riktningsbara svanhalsmikrofonen ME251 (tillbehör) användas.

Anslut strömförsörjningskabeln (röd) till perma-

nent pluspol och tändningsingången (gul/svart sladd) till tändningen. Anslut inte tändningsingången (gul/svart) till permanent pluspol, eftersom detta begränsar telefonens funktionalitet (se sidan 30, „Avstängningsfördröjning“). Jordkabeln ansluts direkt till fordonsbatteriet, den centrala jordpunkten eller någon del av fordonskarossen. Massaförbindningen skall säkras med den medlevererade sladdsäkringen S3.

Monteringshänvisningar & installation

Anslut den violetta kabeln till bilradions ljudavstängningsingång. Detta gör att radion tystnar när du tar emot ett inkommande samtal resp. ringer upp ett telefonnummer.

Isolera oanvända kablar så att det inte kan uppstå kortslutning.

Anslut telefonens olika komponenter via insticks- och skruvkontakterna med uttagen på VDA-kabel och elektronikbox.

Kontrollera hela installationen och sätt i ett giltigt SIM-kort. Anslut fordonsbatteriet och slå på tändningen.

Nu slås telefonen på och begär inmatning av PIN-koden (om den inte har deaktiverats på SIMkortet).

Idrifttagning & inställningar

Isättning av SIM-kortet

Du måste ha ett giltigt och aktiverat SIM-kort för att kunna använda telefonen. SIM-kortet får du från din operatör. På kortet lagras alla viktiga data om din anslutning.

Sätt i SIM-kortet i SIM-kortläsaren D. Se till att kortet sätts i på rätt sätt. Du skall inte behöva bruka våld.

Sätt i SIM-kortet endast när telefonen och fordonets tändning är frånslagna.

Inmatning av PIN

Om du måste ange en PIN-kod, får du en uppmaning att göra det när telefonen slås på. Ange PINkoden med inmatningsknapparna och bekräfta med NÄSTA.

Du kan korrigera med hjälp av RADERA.

Telefonen slås på när fordonets tändning slås på. Den stängs av när tändningen slås ifrån, med en inställd avstängningsfördröjning (standard = 15 min.). Du kan också knäppa på/stänga av telefonen oberoende av tändningssignalen genom att trycka på och hålla PÅ/AV-knappen intryckt.

Inställning av volymen

Ljudstyrkan för handsfree- och privatläge kan justeras separat, och kan ändras endast ett pågående samtal i resp. läge med navigeringsknapparna

UPP och NED.

Tyst mikrofon

Under ett samtal kan du tysta den aktiva mikrofonen med Microphone Stum. När mikrofonen är frånslagen visas ljudavstängningssymbolen i stället för volymsymbolen. När samtalet är avslutat upphävs det tysta läget igen automatiskt.

Inmatade tecken visas som asterisker, detta för att ingen skall kunna se din PIN-kod. Anslutningen till nätet kan sedan ta några sekunder.

När fel PIN-kod har angivits tre gånger, spärras SIM-kortet. För att låsa upp telefonen måste du ange PUK-koden.
