IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, and
Rice Cooker/Steamer. except lid and pan, in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized ser\'ice facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a healed
oven.
11. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance
containing hot oil or other fot liquids.
12. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to ‘'off; then remove plug from wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

A. A short power supply cord set is to be provided to reduce the risk resulting
from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
B. Longer cord set or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
C. If a longer cord set or extension cord is used.
(1) the marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appiiarxce,
(2) the longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tnpped over unintentionally.

HOW то USE
^ Measure rice with ihe provkJed measurii^g cup. One cup ot urcooked rice makes
* approximaiely 3 cups of cooked nee. Wash rice in a separatebowl until water
becomes relatively clear.
2 Place washed rice in the pan. Add water according to the foilcwing standard.

Adjust water quantity to your taste Dry the outside surface of the pan and set it in the cooker.
To place It correctly on the heater, turn the pan gently to right and left. Cover with Ihe lid and let rice soak approximately 30 minutes
Plug in. Be sure the wall outlet has a ground terminal. Do not plug in until ready to cook. Otherwise, rice may be
alined.

5 Press tt>e swith, •Cooking" lamp (red) tells you cooking has

0 When rice is done, Ihe switch will pop up and the “Cooking" lamp goes out.
^ After the switch pops up. leave the lid closed (or at least 15 mnutes to steam rice.
O Unplug after use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.

CAUTION
Avoid cooking rice with foreign matter (rice grains, oil anchor water drops etc.) on the bottom of the pan, on or arourtd the heater, or on the Them>ostat surface. {Please try to keep the unit as dean and dry as possible.) Use in this condition may cause: »Early shut off. »Uneven cooking. »Heater and pan damage.
Avoid dropping the pan cardessiy making it hit sharply on the table or any suface. Also do not put the pan on another heat source: your stove, gas cooker or oar-be-gue. (Replace the pan if it gets damaged.} Use in this condition may cause: »Early shut off. »Uneven cooking. »Heater and pan damage.
Avoid turnifig the unit on without the pan inside the Rice Cooker. Make sure that the unit is unplugged before you take the pan out of the unit. (Replace №e heater if it gets damaged or warped.) Use in this condition may cause: »Early shut off. »Uneven cooking. »Heater and pan damage.
Do not Avor ^ wooden stick or any ofhar object to keep the switch pressed down. This is a very dangerous thing to do.

Be caretui not to splash water ove* the body or heater. Also make sure the pan bottom ard sides are dry before inserting it in the unit.

HOW TO CLEAN

1. Unplug before cleaning.
2. Soak the pan in hot water to loosen cooked-on r>ce.
3. Do not immerse the body in water or any other liquid. Wipe with a damp cloth.
4. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel svool. Clean with non-metal brush or sponge.
