Instructions for
the installation technician
All operations with regard to the installation, control and adaptation to another type of gas must be carried out by authorised personnel from our Technical
Assistance Service and comply with the current regulations and requirements of the gas companies.
IMPORTANT: Before you begin, turn off the gas and electricity supply to the appliance.
Before connecting up the appliance to the installation, first check that it has been adjusted for the type of gas that is to be supplied. Our cooking hobs leave the factory set to function with the type of gas that is indicated on the specifications plate.
This appliance can only be installed in a well ventilated place in accordance with existing regulations and ventilation specifications. The appliance must not be connected to a combustion product's disposal
device.
The place where the appliance is to be installed must have regulation ventilation so that flue gases are piped outside.
Check the dimensions of the cooking hob as well as the dimensions of the gap to be cut in the kitchen unit.
The panels on the work surface, in the immediate vicinity of the cooking hob, must be made of non-flammable material.
Both the stratified surfacing and the glue used to secure it should be heat resistant, to prevent deterioration.
Electrical cables must not come into contact with hot areas.
The power cable must be secured to the kitchen unit to prevent it from touching any hot parts of the oven or the cooking hob.
All appliances containing any electrical components must be earthed.
Read these instructions before installing or using the appliance.
IN THE EVENT THAT THESE
RECOMMENDATIONS ARE NOT OBSERVED, THE INSTALLATION
TECHNICIAN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED, AND THE MANUFACTURER WILL BE EXEMPT FROM ALL RESPONSIBILITY.
Installing the cooking hob in the kitchen unit
The option of locating the cooking hob in the kitchen unit (in accordance with gas
appliances regulation EN 30-1-1) is Type 3.
Insertion measurements
1 - Minimum Distances (mm). Make the appropriate sized cut in the work surface. Figure 1.
For installation over an oven, check the dimensions of the oven according to your assembly manual.
If while using a hob with a control module it was possible to access its lower part, a separator will be needed in order
to avoid possible contact. The minimum distance of this separator to the support level of the hob must be 130 mm.
Place the cooking hob in the gap cut into the kitchen unit.
2 - When the wood fibres used for the production of the cooking hob modules become damp they expand quite rapidly.
We therefore recommend that the cut edges are treated with a special glue to protect them from steam or any condensation that might drip down beneath the work surface of the cooker unit.
Depending on the model, the clips and the watertight seal (underside of the cooking hob) may already be fitted; if this is the case, do not under any circumstances remove them.
The seal ensures that the entire work surface will be watertight, and prevents water seepage.
If they are not fitted, remove the pan supports, the burner covers and the diffusers of the cooking hob and place the hob upside down, and put the adhesive seal supplied with the appliance on the underside of the cooking hob Fig. 2.
3 - Remove the clips from the accessory
bag provided.
Depending on the appliance model, your type of clamp may be similar to the one shown in Fig. 3 or Fig. 4.
-If your type of clamp is the same as the one illustrated in Fig. 3:
• Place them in the holes designed for this.
Insert and simultaneously press the ends so that the cooking hob is supported uniformly on its perimeter.
• If you need to disassemble the appliance, simply push it upwards from underneath.
-If your type of clamp is the same as the one illustrated in Fig. 4:
• Screw them to the points underneath provided for this, with the clamp facing inwards to enable its subsequent insertion in the kitchen unit.
Insert and simultaneously press the ends so that the cooking hob is supported uniformly on its perimeter.
•Turn and screw the clamps for correct mounting.
4 - The end of the inlet collector of the
gas hob has an elbow with 1/2" thread Figure 5a.
This elbow allows for:
•A rigid connection.
•Connection using a flexible metal pipe.
With this option, you must prevent the pipe from coming into contact with moving parts of the insertion unit (for example, a drawer) or access to any spaces which might become obstructed If the cooking hob is joined to an oven, as in Figure 6, or if there is obstruction between the flexible pipe and the oven, turn the elbow so as not to create pressure in the pipe, bearing in mind the position of the elbow according to Figure 1. Make sure that after having
turned the elbow there is no leak.
In order to use this appliance in France you need to remove the factory-assembled
adaptor and place the one found in the accessory bag, Fig. 5b, without forgetting to include the seal.
Except in the conditions outlined, it is not possible to move or turn the elbow from the position it is in when it leaves the factory. If for any reason the elbow is turned, you must ensure that the area is sealed correctly.
Make sure that all connections made are airtight.
The manufacturer is exempt from all responsibility with regard to leaks, if the elbow is moved or turned, as well as connections made by the installation technician.
5 - The following should be checked in the specifications plate: the voltage and the total power. This appliance must be EARTHED.
Always make certain that all connections made are in accordance with national legal requirements. Observe all the local electricity supply company regulations.
To comply with normal safety requirements, the installation technician should provide an omni-pole cut-off switch with a contact opening of at least 3 mm.
This appliance is type "Y", which means that the supply cable MUST NOT BE
REPLACED BY THE USER; this can only be done by the manufacturer's technical services department.
Do not make any adjustments to the interior of the appliance. If this is necessary, call our technical assistance service.
Installation of oven and connection with cooking hob
1 - Oven preparation:
Remove the oven knobs. Fig. 7
2 - Preparation of cooking hob: a) Check type of gas:
Check that the appliance leaves the factory with the type of gas it requires. If it does not, the burner tips will need to be changed and the minimum point of the tap fittings adjusted. (See section Changing gas type in these instructions).
b) Check the insertion situation:
Kitchen unit and distances to the insertion space.
3 - Installation of cooking hob
If the cooking hob has not yet been inserted into its space, place it there and make sure it has been secured to the unit. Also connect the gas as previously described. Raise and secure the universal joints to the bottom of the cooking hob with the help of adhesive tape or gum, if the cooking hob does not have this.
4 - Electrical connection Connect the oven to the mains.
The connection cable must be connected to the oven and the earth wire secured as shown in Fig. 8. If necessary, insert the oven in the kitchen unit.

5 -Mechanical joint/Universal joints. Move the oven towards the universal joints. (see Fig. 9) A gap of approx. 50mm must be left so that the universal joints can be manually connected to the oven. Remove the gum or adhesive tape from all the universal joints and connect them to the actuators. See Fig.9.
6 -Mounting the oven.
Push the oven right to the back and use the 2 screws to secure it to the side walls of the kitchen unit (Fig. 10).
7 - Completion of installation and working test.
The controls received with the oven with the gas symbols must be placed on the spindles. Figure 11.
Switch on the gas of the cooking hob and operate the burners. (Fig. 12). Check the burners stay alight after switching them on and releasing the control knobs. (Thermocouple safety burners) Turn the controls from maximum to minimum to check the stability of the flame.
Oven removal:
If the oven needs to be removed to: regulate the minimum point of the tap fittings, adjust the length of the universal joints or for a new mounting, the following steps must be taken:
1 -Remove the controls knobs.
2 -Remove the oven mounting screws (situated on both sides of the oven behind
the door, in front of the oven unit, side walls).
3 - Remove the oven carefully, approx.
50 mm. Only remove the oven the required distance in order to access the rear part of the control panel. If you continue to remove the oven, the universal joints in the tap fittings area may come loose.
4 -Remove the universal joints from the actuators.
5 - Remove the oven from the kitchen unit. If necessary (for example with a high base board in the kitchen unit) it may be necessary to remove the electrical connection and the earth wire.
6 -Special cases with the universal joints:
If the universal joint has come away from the tap fitting or actuator spindle, it must be refitted:
a)Securing the universal joint to the actuator:
The position of the narrow and wide pivots of the universal joint needs to be taken into consideration.
b)If the plastic piece of the tap fitting spindle falls off: reconnect it but take into account the correct position of the spindle with a "D" shape and tighten it firmly.
IMPORTANT: Before you begin, turn off the gas and electricity supply to the appliance.
Before connecting up the appliance to the installation, first check that it has been fadjusted for the type of gas that is to be supplied. Our cooking hobs leave the actory set to function with the type of gas that is indicated on the specifications plate.
Provided that your country's domestic legislation permits it, this cooking hob may be adapted to function with other types of gas. To do so, follow these steps:
A) Change of rapid, semi-rapid and auxiliary burner tips.
1 - Remove the pan supports, cover and casing of the burner.
2 - Change the burner tips using a 7 mm socket spanner and tighten them as firmly as possible to ensure they are correctly sealed. Figure 13.
With these burners the air does not have to be adjusted.
B) Adjusting the reduced consumption of the taps of the cooking hob burners.
1 - Set the taps to minimum.
2 - Remove the oven or control module
Figure 14 according to the disassembly sequence.
3 - Remove the 3 body universal joint array from its position in the tap shank.
4 - If the cooking hob has safety as well as ignition switches, the flow adjusting screw must always be visible. Fig. 15.
5 - Operate the flow adjusting screw, Figure 15 depending on the model
and bearing in mind that:
•For 28-30/37 mbar Propane and
Butane Gas, the screw must be tightened as firmly as possible.
•For 50 mbar Butane Gas, change the by-pass.
•For Natural Gas, turn the screw anti-
clockwise to the correct hotplate burner gas output. The flame must be stable and
as small as possible. Check:
-the stability of the flame against draughts,
-the stability of the flame when changing the hotplate burner setting between maximum and minimum,
-that there is no flame back draught.
6 - Place the sticker indicating that the appliance's gas supply has been changed close to the specifications plate.
7 - Once you have completed these actions, put the parts back together again.
Never take the tap spindle apart. In the event of a malfunction, change the whole tap.

Anleitung für den Installateur
Alle Installations-und Einstellungsarbeiten sowie die Umstellung auf andere Gasarten müssen von authorisiertem Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden und die gültigen Normen und Vorschriften der Gasversorgungsgesellschaften erfüllen.
WICHTIG: Vor der Durchführung von jeglicher Art von Arbeiten, die Gasund Stromzufuhr zum Gerät unterbrechen.
Vor dem Anschluss des Geräts an die Installation muss sichergestellt werden, dass das Gerät für die zugeleitete Gasart geeignet ist. Unsere Kochfelder sind werksseitig für den Betrieb mit dem auf dem Typenschild angegebenen Gastyp eingestellt.
Dieses Gerät darf nur in einem ausreichend belüftbaren Raum und gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften und Lüftungsbestimmungen aufgestellt werden. Das Gerät darf nicht an einen Schornstein oder eine Abgasanlage
angeschlossen werden.
Der Ort, an dem das Gerät installiert werden soll, muss über die vorschriftsmäßige Belüftung verfügen.
Daher müssen die Verbrennungsgase ins Freie abgeleitet werden.
Die Abmessungen des Kochfelds sowie die Abmessungen der Öffnung, die im Küchenmöbel angefertigt werden muss, überprüfen.
Die Platten auf der Arbeitsfläche in der direkten Umgebung des Kochfelds müssen aus nicht brennbarem Material bestehen. Sowohl die Schichtwerkstoffe als auch der Bindeleim müssen hitzebeständig sein, damit kein Verschleiß auftritt.
Die elektrischen Leitungen dürfen keine Berührung zu den Hitzebereichen haben.
Die Stromnetzleitung muss am Küchenmöbel befestigt werden, damit sie keine heißen Teile des Ofens oder des Kochfelds berühren kann.
Geräte mit elektrischen Bauteilen müssen mit der Erdableitung verbunden werden.
Lesen Sie vor dem Einbau und vor dem Gebrauch dieses Gerätes die Bedienungsanleitung.
WERDEN DIE DIESBEZÜGLICHEN BESTIMMUNGEN NICHT EINGEHALTEN, LIEGT DIE HAFTUNG BEIM INSTALLATEUR, UND DER HERSTELLER IST VON DER HAFTUNG BEFREIT.
Installation des Kochfelds im Möbel
Die Einbaumöglichkeit des Kochfelds im Küchenmöbel entspricht der
Klasse 3 gemäß der Norm für Gasgeräte EN 30-1-1.
Einbaumaßnahmen
1 - Mindestabstände (mm): In der Arbeitsplatte einen Ausschnitt mit den erforderlichen Abmessungen ausführen. Abb. 1.
Überprüfen Sie zur Installation auf einen Backofen die Abmessungen des Backofens an Hand des Montagehandbuches.
Sollte bei der Bedienung eines Kochfeldes mit Bedienfeld der untere Bereich zugänglich sein, so ist zur Vermeidung eines möglichen Kontaktes eine Abdeckung anzubringen. Der Abstand zwischen dieser Abdeckung und der Auflagefläche des Kochfeldes muss mindestens 130 mm betragen.

2 - Die für die Herstellung von Arbeitsplatten verwendenten Holzfasern schwellen bei Kontakt mit Feuchtigkeit relativ schnell auf. Daher ist es angebracht die Oberflächen der Schnittstellen mit einem Spezialleim zu beizen damit sie vor Dunst und Kondenswasser geschützt sind, welches sich unter dem Arbeitstisch in der Küche ansammen könnte.
Gemäß dem Model können die Klammern und Dichtungsringe (untere Kante der Kochplatte) bereits vormontiert mitgeliefert werden. Falls dem so ist, diese auf keinen Fall entfernen. Die Dichtung verhindert jegliches Eindringen von Wasser in die gesamte
Arbeitsoberfläche
Falls sie nicht von der Fabrik aus vormontiert mitgeliefert werden, entfernen Sie die Roste, die Klappen der Brenner und die Diffusoren des Elektrokochfeldes und bringen Sie diese in umgekehrter Stellung an. Bringen Sie die selbstklebende Dichtung, welche mit dem Gerät mitgeliefert wird, an der unteren Kante des Kochfeldes an. Zeichnung 2.
3 - Nehmen Sie die Klammern aus dem mitgelieferten Zubehörbeutel. Gemäß dem Modell des Gerätes sieht die Klammer wie in den Zeichnungen 3 oder 4 aus.
-Falls Ihre Klammer der Zeichnung 3 entspricht:
• Bringen Sie die Klammern an den vorgesehenen Öffnungen an. Verzahnen und drücken Sie die Ränder des Kochfeldes gleichzeitig damit es vollständig in den dafür vorgesehenen Platz eingelegt wird.
• Falls eine Abmontierung notwendig ist, sollten Sie nur von unten nach oben drücken.
-Falls Ihre Klammer der
Zeichnung 4 entspricht:
•Schrauben Sie diese an den vorbereiteten Gliederungspunkten an, mit der Klammer nach innen damit der folgende Unterbau auf dem Möbel ermöglicht wird.Verzahnen und drücken Sie beide Enden des Kochfeldes gleichzeitig damit es vollständig in den vorgesehenen Platz eingelegt wird.
•Drehen Sie die Klammern und schrauben Sie sie an der richtigen Befestigung fest.
4 - Das Ende des Eingangrohrs der Gaskochplatte ist mit einem Gewinde versehen. 1/2" Fig.5a. Dieses Gewinde ermöglicht:
Einen Festanschluss.
Anschluss mit einem Metall-Flexrohr. In diesem Fall sollte ein Kontakt des Rohres mit beweglichen Teilen der Einbaueinheit vermieden werden (zum Beispiel mit einer Schublade) und mit dem Durchgang
durch die Räume was zur einer Verstopfung führen könnte. Falls das Kochfeld mit einem Ofen kombiniert wird, gemäss Zeichnung 6 oder wenn eine Interferenz zwischen dem Rohr und dem Ofen besteht, sollten Sie, um Spannungen zu vermeiden, das Bogenstück drehen, wobei Sie sich die Position des Bogenstücks gemäß Zeichnung 1 merken sollten. Vergewissern Sie sich dass nach der Drehung des Bogenstücks kein Leck entsteht.
Damit dieses Gerät in Frankreich verwendet werden kann, sollten Sie das vormontierte Bogenstück entfernen und das aus dem Zubehörbeutel anbringen, Zeichnung. 5b. Vergessen Sie nicht die Dichtungen anzubringen. Außer den beschriebenen Situationen sollten Sie auf keinen Fall an dem mitgelieferten Bogenstück drehen.
Wenn unter irgendwelchen Umständen am Bogenstück gedreht wurde, sollten Sie sich über die Dichtigkeit in diesem Bereich vergewissern. Vergewissern Sie sich über die Dichtigkeit aller Schaltungen. Der Hersteller lehnt jegliche Verantwortung für eine Undichtigkeit ab, sollte das Bogenstück bewegt oder verdreht worden sein; sowie für die Anschlüsse, die durch den Einbauer selbst durchgeführt wurden.
5 - Folgende Punkte sind gemäß Typenschild zu prüfen: Spannung und Gesamtleistung. Das Gerät muss an die Erdableitung angeschlossen sein.
Dabei muss geprüft werden, dass dieser Anschluss entsprechend der gesetzlichen Vorschriften des jeweiligen Landes ausgeführt worden ist. Die Bestimmungen der örtlichen Stromversorgungsgesellschaft müssen strikt eingehalten werden.
Um die gewöhnlichen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen zu erfüllen sollte vom Installateur aus ein mehrpoliger Schalter mit einer Kontaktöffnung von mindestens 3 mm vorgesehen werden. Das Gerät entspricht der Klasse „Y”, d. h., das Versorgungsstromkabel darf NICHT VOM BENUTZER, sondern nur vom Kundendienst der Marke ausgewechselt werden.
Hantieren Sie nicht mit dem Innenraum des Gerätes herum. Falls notwendig rufen Sie unseren technischen Kundendienst.
Einbau des Backofens und Verbindung mit dem Kochfeld
1 - Vorbereiten des Backofens:
Die Bedienteile des Backofens abnehmen. Abb. 7.
2 - Vorbereiten des Kochfeldes 1, a) Prüfen der Gasart:
Vorhandene Gasart mit der werkseitigen Einstellung des Kochfeldes vergleichen. Ist eine Anpassung notwendig, müssen die Brennerdüsen von oben getauscht werden und die Kleinbranddüsen an den Gashähne auf der Unterseite des Kochfeldes justiert werden. (Siehe Kapitel Gasartenumstellung dieser Anleitung).
b) Feststellen der Einbausituation,
Möbel und Ausschnittsmaße.

3 - Einbau des Kochfeldes
Wenn noch nicht geschehen, Kochfeld in die Arbeitsplatte einsetzen sicher von unten verschrauben und Gasanschluss wie zuvor beschrieben herstellen.
Falls die Kardangestänge vorn noch nicht mit Gummis am Kochfeld hochgebunden sind, diese mit Gummi oder Klebeband hochfixieren.
4 - Elektrische Verbindungen: Elektroanschluss des Herdes herstellen. Verbindungskabel von Kochfeld am Herd einstecken und Erdungsleitung verschrauben siehe Bild 8. Falls erforderlich dazu Herd in den Schrank einstellen.
5 - Mechanische Verbindungen/ Kardangestänge:
Herd ein Stück weit einschieben (siehe Bild 9). Dabei muss hinter der HerdSchalterblende ein Spalt von ca 50mm offen bleiben, so dass die Kardangestänge mit der Hand erreicht werden können. Gummi oder Klebeband von allen Kardangestängen entfernen und gemäß Bild 9 in die Aufnahmestücke (push part) einklippsen. Achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Ausrichtung, sichtbar an unterschiedlicher Breite der Raststifte und Nuten.
6 - Herdbefestigung:
Herd bis zum Anschlag einschieben und mit den 2 Holzschrauben fest an den Seitenwänden des Herdschrankes fixieren. (Bild 10).
7 - Fertigmontage und Funktionsprüfung:
Die dem Herd beiliegenden HerdSchaltergriffe mit Gassymbol auf die Schalterachsen aufstecken, Abb 11. Gaszufuhr zum Kochfeld an der Anschlussarmatur freigeben und Kochstellen in Betrieb nehmen. (Bild 12). Dabei prüfen, ob die Brenner nach der Zuendung und dem Loslassen des Schaltergriffes brennen bleiben. (Thermoelektrische Zuendsicherung). Mit den Drehgriffen zwischen großer und kleiner Flamme wechseln und Stabilität der Flamme prüfen
Ausbau des Herdes:
Soll der Herd ausgebaut werden, müssen folgende Schritte durchgeführt werden. Notwendig ist der Ausbau des Herdes zum Beispiel zur Einstellung des Kleinbrandes, zur Anpassung der Länge der Kardangestänge oder zur Neubefestigung der Kardangestänge
1- Schaltergriffe für Kochstellen abziehen.
2 - Herdbefestigungsschrauben (an den Herdseiten hinter der Tür, von vorn an den HerdschrankSeitenwänden) herausdrehen.
3 - Herd vorsichtig ein kleines Stück (ca 50mm) nach vorn ziehen. Achtung, nur so weit ziehen, dass gerade von oben hinter die Bedienblende eingegriffen werden kann. Wird der Herd weiter nach vorn gezogen, rasten die Kardangestänge an der falschen Stelle aus und müssten dann wieder
mit mehr Aufwand eingesetzt werden, siehe Punkt 8.
