Even with the most diverse array of models it’s ever offered, the S- Class expresses itself

in unequivocal terms. Its countless innovations in performance, safety and comfort are

each worthy of such superlative terms as groundbreaking, exclusive and exemplary. All

six sedans embody style, craftsmanship and elegance that are beyond compare. And yet,

examined one by one, they each reveal an unexpected pairing of virtues. There’s a clean,

quiet diesel that delivers breathtaking acceleration. A highly advanced, supremely low -

emission hybrid that also makes a refreshing value statement. A commanding twin- turbo

V- 8 of compelling efficiency. A V-12 that exercises its authority with consummate grace.

And two AMG models that fuse a racing pedigree with a luxury legacy. Their engineering

leadership, undeniable presence and unparalleled substance are superlatives that every

S-Class has in common. But they’re only the start of what they share with no other car.

START AT SUPERLATIVE.

The S 350 BlueTEC. Refreshing in many ways, the
advanced clean diesel V- 61 sprints to 60 mph in just

7.0 seconds2 yet returns up to 31 highway mpg3 and
certified low emissions. Standard 4matic™ all- wheel
drive4 distributes up to 455 lb- ft of torque to its 18"
wheels5 via a refined 7-speed automatic transmission.

The S 400 HYBRID. A silky gasoline V-6 teams up
with a near- silent electric motor, a first-of -its -kind
lithium- ion battery and a smooth 7-speed automatic.
With up to 25 highway mpg3 and 0–60 in 7.2 seconds,2
its super- low emissions come with yet another bonus:
no price penalty over its gasoline -only equivalent.6

The S 550. With a 429 -hp Direct Injection twin -turbo
V-8 and your choice of rear-wheel drive or 4matic
all- wheel drive, the S 550 accomplishes every aspect
of performance with confidence. Generating more
power and torque from less fuel, it can reach 60 mph
in as little as 4.9 seconds.2 Standard 18" alloy wheels,5
as well as 19" and 20" options, add to its enthusiasm.

The S 600. Seamless, and seemingly endless, thrust
is the calling card of this flagship among flagships. Its
510 -hp twin- turbo V-12 sends a staggering 612 lb- ft
of peak torque to its rear wheels through a robust,
paddle -shifted 5 -speed automatic. Advanced Active
Body Control (ABC) conducts every move of its 19" or
optional 20" wheels5 with near- supernatural grace.

The S 63 AMG. Raw, race -bred power proves a most
compatible partner for rich refinement in this 536- hp
super sedan. Its handcrafted biturbo V- 8, 20" wheels5
and AMG- calibrated ABC are evidence of unyielding
attention to every detail. While it can rush to 60 mph
in 4.4 seconds,2 it’ll cruise all day in relaxed comfort.

The S 65 AMG. Even superlatives struggle to describe
the most powerful, lavish and advanced sedan ever to
emerge from the thoroughbred stables of AMG. With a
handcrafted 621-hp biturbo V -12 and 20" forged- alloy
wheels,5 it races to 60 in 4.2 seconds2 while outpacing
virtually every measure of what an automobile can be.

comes from thoughtfully conceived, elegantly executed and painstakingly crafted details that bridge advanced

technology with timeless appeal. Consider the supple, finely grained leather that’s fitted by hand — as it always has

been — to front seats that electronically adjust a dozen ways, instantly add support as you take a corner, and offer

soothing warmth, cooling ventilation and even a lower- back massage at your whim. Let your eyes scan the dash:

Its dual high-definition widescreens are underscored by a flowing sweep of hand- polished wood — set further aglow

by fiber- optic lighting whose hue you can adjust — and crowned by a classic analog timepiece. In every detail, the

S-Class presents comforts you never imagined with craftsmanship we’ve never forgotten. It’s an S -Class tradition

to predict not just what other automobiles might someday become — but what we’ll treasure most from today.

Furnished. The front seats are both heated and Active Ventilated for
year- round comfort. Each of them power- adjusts not only for reach,
recline, height and tilt, but for cushion depth and the height of its
head restraint. They also include active multicontour features that
let you precisely tune your lumbar, shoulder and thigh support, and
enjoy a soothing or even vigorous massage. Adjustment is simplified
by illustrated controls that are presented on the in- dash color screen.

Finished. Eucalyptus, Burl Walnut or Brown Poplar wood — depending
on model — is polished by hand and finely edged in chrome. Brushed
metallic controls reward your fingertips. Richly grained leather — or
optional extra- supple Premium leather with contrasting stitching — is
exactingly tailored and hand- fitted. S 63 AMG, S 600 and S 65 AMG
Sedans each feature distinctive details of their own, with the V-12
cabins lavished in even more sumptuous Exclusive leather treatment.

Fascinating. Intriguing details stimulate the senses of all who ride
within its spacious 5- passenger cabin. The classic analog clock is an
elegant homage to the 1950s 300 S. Fiber-optic LED ambient lighting
encircles the cabin with a gentle glow in your choice of three colors,
from warm Solar to cool Polar. Climate control air outlets are placed
throughout the cabin, even ahead of the rear doors, to help deliver
their comfort more evenly and rapidly, yet without unpleasant drafts.

Fundamental. How the S- Class manages the outside world greatly
contributes to its interior ambience. Advanced aerodynamics help to
improve sound quality, ride stability, and even your outward vision in
the rain. Laminated, infrared- reflecting window glass, as well as the
sunroof or available Panorama roof, help to keep noise and the sun’s
rays from intruding. Each of its four wide doors is held open to any
position by a gas strut, and gently snugged tight by pneumatic assist.

The S -Class has a history of leading the way forward not just at an impressive pace, but with exceptional grace. Its advanced

engines deliver emphatic performance with a gentler touch to the earth. They turn less fuel into more power, with fewer emissions.

And they do it with more power choices than any other car in its class: Two twin- turbo V -8s with precise Direct Injection. An exotic

pair of twin-turbo V-12s. The world’s first production hybrid with a lithium-ion battery. And a smooth, strong BlueTEC clean diesel.

Every S -Class also puts it best foot forward in other ways, too. An adaptive, self-leveling air suspension or an uncanny fully active

suspension each balance crisp control with velvety comfort. And available 4matic™ all- wheel drive takes on wet, snowy streets and

sharp, dry corners with equal enthusiasm. Remarkably, each of these advances is rooted in performance breakthroughs that were

first introduced by Mercedes -Benz over the years. But history isn’t made by looking back. It happens when you leap ahead.

Motivated. Six engine choices offer an impressive blend
of swift response, surprising efficiency and low emissions.
The 3.0-liter turbodiesel V- 61 of the S 350 BlueTEC emits
fewer greenhouse gases than most gasoline engines. Two
advanced Direct Injection V- 8s in the S 550 and S 63 AMG
feature twin turbochargers spinning up to 185,000 rpm,
and rapid -multispark ignition that can fire four times in a
millisecond. All three of these engines generate more than
450 lb- ft of torque at well under 2,000 rpm, and deliver it
with the smooth, efficient response of a 7-speed automatic
transmission. The remaining S- Class powerplant choices
are no less compelling: In the innovative S 400 HYBRID, an
effiicient gasoline V-6 teams up with a torque -rich electric
motor and lithium-ion battery via a clever ECO- Stop/Start
system. And a duo of sublimely smooth twin-turbocharged
V-12s propel the majestic S 600 and S 65 AMG Sedans.

Confident. Standard on the S 350 BlueTEC and optional on
the S 550, 4matic all- wheel drive integrates our 4- wheel
Electronic Traction System.4 4 -ETS continually redistributes
the engine’s torque toward the wheels — or single wheel — that
has the best grip. With light weight and a 45:55 front/rear
torque split, 4matic enhances handling on dr y roads, too.

Composed. The S -Class driver can enjoy spirited handling
while all aboard savor its serene ride. Air -cushioned, semi ­active AIRMATIC suspension employs our Adaptive Damping
System (ADS) to expertly balance ride and handling as road
conditions change. It teams up with our Direct- steer system
to ease parking effort while sharpening high -speed stability.
Active Body Control (ABC) is standard on the S 600 and AMG
models, and an S 550 option.7 Arguably the most advanced
fully active suspension in production, ABC instantly generates
counterforces of its own to optimize comfort and control, and
to provide uncannily flat cornering. Both ABC and AIRMATIC
feature driver- selectable Sport and Comfort modes, 4- wheel
self- leveling, and automatic lowering of the car at higher
speeds, to enhance both stability and efficiency.

Poised. Large yet lightweight 18" alloy wheels are standard
on most models, while the S 600 rides on staggered -width
19" wheels. Race- bred 20" AMG alloys outfit the two AMG
sedans. A selection of optional 19" wheels with versatile all­season tires and 20" wheels with high- performance tires is
also offered. Included among them are the legendary style
and quality of AMG wheels, presented in either of two Sport
Packages for the S 350 BlueTEC, S 400 HYBRID and S 550.
