ML 250 BlueTEC. A new twin-turbo
4 -cylinder clean diesel1 motivates the
most efficient M- Class. Its versatile

ML 350.  A Direct Injection gasoline
V-6 matches smooth power with the

legend. Its substantial feel comes from actual substance.
A rigid uni-body, fully independent suspension and highly
refined aerodynamics all work in concert to make the ride
smoother, the handling more precise, and the cabin quieter.
Extensive development in virtual and actual wind tunnels
helps to cut drag and fuel consumption. It also enhances

stability, improving tire adhesion and mitigating the effects of
crosswinds on the highway. Its aerodynamic advances even
help the driver see better, with such details as side mirrors
designed to help keep road spray off the windows. Of course,
functionality isn’t nearly as enjoyable without a corresponding
degree of flair. So while the LED Daytime Running Lamps and
taillamps attract attention better, they capture admiring eyes
equally well. The stylish aluminum roof rails accommodate a

variety of accessory racks and containers. A chrome sill
plate helps protect the rear bumper when the power liftgate
is open for loading. And every M- Class takes to the road on
a substantial set of wheels — standard 18", 19" or 20" alloys,
with options up to 21", depending on model. The optional
Exterior Sport Package — standard on the ML 400 — wraps
athletic AMG® wheels in aggressive AMG body styling. The

An SUV that’s rugged isn’t so unusual. But how about
one that’s also nimble, or even fun? The M- Class was
the first of its kind to feature a 4-wheel independent
suspension — along with many other Mercedes-Benz
handling hallmarks, like a tight turning circle. It also
made a clever new use of technology first pioneered
for antilock brakes: The same sensors can also detect
wheelspin during acceleration. The breakthrough was
more than just groundbreaking. It’s ground-gripping
as well — enhancing control on wet roads, takeoffs in
loose gravel, and performance in dry corners. In any
season of the year, you’ll feel in touch with the road.
And wherever you drive, you’ll be on top of the world.

Efficiency expert. A new generation of

clean diesel powerplant lets the ML 250
BlueTEC® go even farther on a gallon of
fuel.4 Two turbochargers give the 2.1-liter
inline- 4 more torque than some V-8s.
A fast- acting turbo boosts torque at low
rpm, with a larger, more powerful unit
adding power as revs increase. And all
369 lb-ft of its torque is on tap at just
1,600 rpm, for strong response off the
line and around town. With its ultralow
emissions, it’s cer tified in all 50 states.1
With up to 700 miles of highway driving
range per tankful, you can drive across
several of them without a fuel stop.

Power players. A pair of gasoline V-6s
use advanced technology to thrust you
forward more rapidly. Both the 302-hp
ML 350 and the new 329-hp ML 400 are
showcases of quick-thinking technology
that turns less fuel into more torque with
lower emissions. High-pressure Direct
Injection and a rapid-multispark ignition
system can both precisely self-tune in a
millisecond, to ignite the finely atomized
fuel as many as four times per cycle. The
ML 400’s two turbos — one for each bank
of cylinders — spool quickly and rapidly
to reach high rpm and boost pressure
with virtually no lag. The result is torque
output of 354 lb-ft from just 1,600 rpm,
and 0–60 mph in a mere 6.5 seconds.

Fingertip 7‑speed. The sporty, smooth
and efficient automatic transmission
features an intuitive electronic selector
and shift paddles — all fingertip -close to
the steering wheel. The paddles give you
instant manual control on demand.

Greener red lights. Waiting at a light or
for traffic to get going? ECO Start/Stop
(not available on the ML 350 models) can
automatically switch off the engine, to
help save fuel and emissions. As soon as
you’re ready to go, the engine restarts
when you lift your foot from the brake,
or the instant you press the accelerator.

Flexible muscle. The versatile 4-wheel
multilink suspension combines sedanlike
comfort and handling with SUV flexibility.
Innovative AGILITY CONTROL® reads the
road surface via the vertical movement
of each shock absorber. It can instantly
adjust their firmness for more precise
control in sharp corners, while keeping
the ride quality refined on rough roads.

Flatter cornering. The available ACTIVE
CURVE SYSTEM’s variable stabilizers
automatically tighten during cornering
maneuvers, to minimize body lean. In
gentle curves and in straight-line travel,
they relax, to optimize ride comfort. The
Sport mode of the adaptive suspension
sharpens their response even further.

Year‑round confidence. Optional on
the ML 350 and standard on all other
models is the surefooted performance
of 4matic® all- wheel drive. Its 4-wheel
Electronic Traction System (4-ETS®) can
automatically send the engine’s torque
to the wheels that have the best grip —
whether that’s all four wheels, two of
them, or even just one. And with light
weight, quick response and excellent
agility, 4matic enhances handling in any
season, from the depths of winter to the
delights of a back road in summer.6 For
the ML 350, standard rear-wheel drive
offers even higher efficiency with the
handling balance of a sporty sedan.

Fortified exploring. A suite of options
collaborate to elevate the capabilities of
the M- Class in off-road adventures, while
enhancing on- road performance, too. The
optional On/Off-Road Package’s rotary
selector lets you choose any of six drive
programs for various terrains and driving
conditions: Auto, Sport, Snow, Trailer,
and two Off-road modes — both of which
increase ride height and fording depth.

Each mode provides specific settings for
the AIRMATIC® adaptive air suspension,
automatic level control, and the 2-speed
transfer case. Downhill Speed Regulation
(DSR), when activated, can automatically
maintain a preset crawl speed with your
feet off the pedals, helping make steep
descents more consistent and allowing
you to focus on steering the vehicle.

Handcrafted horsepower.

For 47 years, AMG has been creating championship racecars
and thoroughbreds for the street. Every trophy earned, and
each lesson learned, has shared the same starting line: an
engine crafted by the hands of its own master. “One man, one
engine” is more than a guiding philosophy — it’s a pedigree of
performance that’s evident throughout the vehicle. And it’s
a promise made during the rigors of competition that every
Mercedes-AMG fulfills even in the routine of a daily commute.

ML 63 AMG. Crafted by the hands of its own
master engine builder, the ML 63’s biturbo
V- 8 pours out 518hp. Its torrential 516lb-ft
of torque is expertly distributed by standard
AMG Performance 4matic® all-wheel drive with
an exclusive 40:60 front/rear torque split. The
setup optimizes handling dynamics — especially
when cornering on dry pavement — and can
launch the SUV to 60 mph in 4.7seconds.5

Epic. Four AMG tailpipes emit a symphony of
performance. Yet an ECO Start/Stop system
is one of many measures to elevate efficiency
and lower emissions in everyday driving.

Expressive. The 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT®
transmission includes aluminum shift paddles
and three driver- selectable programs. In the
Sport mode, expertly rev -matched downshifts
are announced with a snarl of the exhaust.

Extreme. Standard 20" AMG® 5-spoke wheels
reveal an enticing glimpse of the massive AMG
brake hardware. Even more aggressive 21"
AMG twin 5- spoke wheels are optional in your
choice of classic Silver or dramatic new Matte
Black. The self- leveling, adaptive AIRMATIC®
suspension is AMG-calibrated and teamed with

Radar-based technology that watches the road ahead.

When driving at speeds above 4 mph, standard COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST employs radar
to continuously scan for slower or stopped vehicles ahead. If it senses that a collision is likely, it
audibly alerts you to start braking. The instant you do, its Adaptive Brake Assist can automatically
increase braking to the ideal level to avoid a collision, or reduce its severity.10 Optional DISTRONIC
PLUS® takes this a step further. In everyday driving, its adaptive cruise control feature can pace
your speed to the flow of traffic, even if the car ahead slows to a stop. If it detects an impending
collision, its pioneering PRE-SAFE® Brake springs into action. In addition to alerting the driver,
PRE-SAFE Brake can also apply the brakes autonomously to help prevent or mitigate a collision.11

Virtual vision to your sides. When the available
Blind Spot Assist

side of your M- Class, it illuminates an icon in the
appropriate mirror, to alert you. If you signal for
a lane change while a vehicle is detected, the icon
flashes and a warning tone sounds. The system is
also available with active technology, which can
selectively brake individual wheels to help guide
you back into your own lane automatically.

A watchful eye if it’s time for a rest. ATTENTION

®

is a Mercedes- Benz innovation that can

ASSIST
alert you if it detects signs of drowsiness on long
drives. Starting in the first minutes of a drive,
the system measures more than 70 variables, to
establish a pattern and determine the warning
thresholds. By continually monitoring a variety
of driving behaviors along your trip, ATTENTION
ASSIST can offer a warning tone and encourage
taking a break if it senses you’re getting drowsy.

Brighter by day, and by night. The front Daytime
Running Lamps, rear turn signals and fiber- optic
taillamps all feature LED technology. With the
Lighting Package,

collision, the system increases the braking force.

5. If the vehicle ahead starts to pull away, brake force
is reduced, but not below the driver’s pedal input.

2,000 songs to your dash, and immerse yourself 1,200 watts deep in the music.
The voice control can learn how you speak. You can see 360° of what’s nearby,
or keep a traffic jam far away. It’s all quite advanced. But it quickly feels familiar.

Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel. The multifunction
steering wheel and console-mounted central controller unify
all your options in entertainment, navigation, information and
personalized vehicle settings. Crisp gauges and two color
screens — a standard 7 " central display plus an illustrated
multifunction readout within the gauge cluster — are all at the
same height and focal distance. Standard Bluetooth lets you
make hands-free calls or stream digital music wirelessly.

Music fills the air, from almost anywhere. The standard
audio system lets you tune in HD Radio™ stations, or bring
your own music on CD or via USB. The Premium Package12
can expand your playlist to near- infinity: A Media Interface
integrates your iPod® or MP3 device with the audio displays
and controls.16 Play your digital music files from an SD card,
or store them on the 10GB Music Register. And nationwide
SiriusXM Radio comes with a 6- month All Access plan trial,
so you can also listen on your smartphone and tablet.17 Add
the Mercedes-Benz Apps Package3 of mbrace® and you can
enjoy global Internet radio via TuneIn.® Also available are two
surround sound systems: harman/kardon LOGIC7® sound12
treats all aboard to 830 watts of Dolby® Digital 5.1 audio via
13 speakers and a subwoofer. The most devoted audiophiles
will appreciate the Bang & Olufsen® BeoSound™ system — now
available on every M-Class.18 It puts out 1,200 total watts,
via 14 active speakers including two Acoustic Lens tweeters.

Explore the city, or search the Internet. The Premium
Package also brings the guidance of COMAND® navigation,19
featuring a fast 80GB hard drive and 3D maps with building
profiles. Map updates are provided at no charge for three
years. Its advanced voice control system can learn how
you speak in your everyday voice. And it comes with three
years of SiriusXM Traffic and Weather, including dynamic
re- routing around traffic jams.17 The Cloud- based apps of
mbrace deliver the Internet directly to your dash — so you
can easily search destinations from your car, computer or
smartphone, and be on your way with just a few clicks.

Virtual doorman, or an onboard valet. Innovative options —
all standard on the ML 63 AMG — help make your every move
a smooth one. KEYLESS-GO® lets you unlock and drive your
M- Class without taking the key from your pocket or purse.12
In low- speed maneuvers, PARKTRONIC can sense obstacles
near your front and rear bumpers, and let you know via
audiovisual indicators in the cabin. It’s paired with Active
Parking Assist, which sizes up open parallel parking spaces
as you drive by. Choose a spot, and it can expertly back you
in hands-free — like a virtual valet. The Premium Package also
includes power-folding side mirrors, as well as a rearview
camera20 with active on- screen steering guidelines. Or opt
for the Surround View System,20 which uses four cameras to
compose a single 360° birdseye view of what’s around you.

settings: The “on- road” mode automatically lowers the

grows more satisfying from there. From a soothing massage to a moonlit
drive, it turns innovation into invigoration, and refinement into refreshment.

Embracing support, enduring enjoyment. The standard
heated, 8- way power front seats are designed for lasting
comfort on long rides or over many years of use. The driver
seat includes 4- way lumbar support, while the Premium
Package12 adds 3- position memory for the seat, the power
steering column — also included in the package — and the
power-folding side mirrors. The available ventilated front
seats12 help keep you cooler and drier in warm weather.
Optional multicontour front seats let you fine -tune their
lumbar, shoulder and thigh supports. They also offer four
massage programs and multi-adjustable head restraints.

Luxury in the air, a refined atmosphere. The dual-zone
automatic climate control filters dust, pollen and airborne
odors. An available 3-zone system offers the rear cabin its
own microclimate. The optional heated rear seats include
rear-cabin switches for the climate control’s airflow and
AUTO mode. A heated steering wheel can quickly take the
chill from your hands on a cool morning, or you can opt for
a hand- finished wood/leather wheel. Supple, hand-stitched
Nappa leather adorns every M -Class steering wheel.

Extensive comfort, expansive capacity. The 60/40 -split
rear seats recline to 10 positions, or fold down to create
carpeted space for up to 80.3 cu ft of cargo.21 Standard
luxuries include a power liftgate, chrome load sill protector,
parcel net, chrome tie- downs, and retractable cargo cover.

A sunny breeze, or a blanket or stars. A standard power
sunroof tilts up for ventilation or slides open. The optional
Panorama roof presents a grand skyward view to all five
passengers. Its power front section also tilts and slides.
Both feature heat-rejecting glass and a sliding sunshade.

A warm welcome, a more inviting stay. Available fiber­optic LED ambient lighting12 lets you bathe the cabin in any
of three selectable hues, and includes the welcoming glow
of illuminated front door sills. Other options12 to ease your
entry and exit include rubber -studded brushed aluminum
running boards, and soft -close doors — which draw each
door snug when you bring it to its latch, without slamming.

An artisan’s touch, in a wider palette. The array of cabin
finishes for your M- Class is as impressive as their quality.
Five hand- finished wood trim options complement a variety
of solid and contrasting upholstery colors — in the practical
luxury of soft MB -Tex, or several styles of leather.12 The most
exquisite of these is designo Exclusive Nappa leather, with
a linear sew pattern standard on the ML 63 AMG, or as an
option with diamond- pattern stitching on the other models.
A new Interior Sport Package includes deeply contoured
front seats, a sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and
a black headliner. Its seats feature DINAMICA microsuede
