he gave his dog a good-bye hug, tossed

his backpack and sleeping bag in the back,

and buckled into the third row alongside

GRACIOUS AND GRACEFUL

The EASY - ENTRY feature moves each 2nd-row seat

forward with the touch of one button, for graceful

access to the third row from either rear door. Power

operation is available to make it even simpler. Every

seating row offers generous legroom and headroom.

SPACIOUS AND FLEXIBLE

The standard power-folding 3rd-row seats lower

in a 50/50 split at the touch of a button, making

room for nearly 50 cu ft of cargo6 even with five

passengers aboard. The 2nd-row seats fold flat

in a 60/40 split, or recline to any of 10 positions.

The power liftgate can be set for low garages.

SUMPTUOUS AND
SUPPORTIVE

Standard heated power front seats are

deeply contoured for enduring comfort.

Ventilation and massage are included

on the V8 models, optional on the V6.

Heated seats are also available in the

second row, as is a third zone for the

climate control — including rear-cabin

First class, even in the third row

Unlike most SUVs with a third row, there’s no second - rate seating in a GLS. Its 4- wheel independent

air suspension allows chair- height room and a smooth ride in the back. Power ports and cupholders

are provided in every row. And while all the rear seats fold flat to create up to 93.8 cubic feet of

cargo space, they’re also contoured for supportive comfort and upholstered to match the first row.

From its bold grille to its integrated rear

spoiler, the GLS is elegant in proportions

and details. Aerodynamic refinements help

to reduce noise in the cabin, divert road

handling. Chrome accents deliver function

with flair, from the protective insert below

the GLS 63. Its “A- wing” air dam draws in

designs. Night Packages add gloss black

accents to the wheels and key body trim

of both the GLS 550 and GLS 63.

An Appearance Package adds 20"

What every GLS has in common sets them

apart from other large SUVs: Foremost,

they’re not based on a pickup truck. Rigid

unibody construction enhances handling

precision, comfort and occupant safety.

The 4- wheel independent AIRMATIC® sus-

pension provides automatic leveling and

adjustable ride height. With the Adaptive

Damping System (ADS, standard on the

V8s), you can engage a Sport suspension

mode via its own button, or as part of the

standard DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes.

The available ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM’s
