no surprise that the GLK’s taut, muscular shape is a direct reflection of the power and

GLK 350GLK 250 BlueTEC

Standard 19" wheels fill its flared wheel arches in
a promise of sporty handling that’s fulfilled by its
4matic® all- wheel drive and AGILITY CONTROL®
suspension. Its bold grille, expressive headlamps
and intriguing LED taillamps foretell the advanced
technology within. Its richly finished cabin asserts
that even a compact SUV can be generous with
versatile space, premium features and exquisitely
finished wood trim. And its BlueTEC clean- diesel
engine1 combines two best- in- class benefits: the
smooth, powerful response of 369 lb- ft of torque,
and highway fuel-efficiency of up to 33 mpg.2

There are sports cars that can’t keep up with the

6.4-second 0–60 acceleration3 delivered by the
302- hp V-6 in the GLK 350. Even sport sedans
envy its standard 19" wheels, 4- wheel multilink
AGILITY CONTROL suspension, and the choice of
sporty rear-wheel drive or nimble 4matic all-wheel
drive.4 Luxury sedans may admire its impeccably
crafted cabin, but they can’t match its 54.7 cu ft
of maximum cargo room. And other SUVs? They
might take years to offer all its safety innovations.

The advanced gasoline V-6 and BlueTEC clean
diesel twin- turbo 4- cylinder1 engines offered
in the GLK-Class may take different routes to
achieving their quick response and enduring
benefits, but they share a core philosophy. A
Mercedes-Benz engine should not just propel
its vehicle, it should move the entire industry
forward. Both GLK powerplants feature four
valves per cylinder and Direct Injection — two
technologies pioneered by Mercedes-Benz
engineers decades ago, and freshly advanced
for a new generation of performance that’s as
redline- loving as it is green- minded. It’s why
every GLK offers certified ultralow emissions,
even in the most stringent of the 50 states.

The gas-powered V-6 in the GLK 350 features
rapid-multispark ignition that can fire each
spark plug up to four times in a millisecond.
A new ECO Start/Stop feature shuts off the
V-6 while you wait at traffic lights. As soon
as you lift off the brake, it instantly restarts,
so you can be on your way to achieving up to
25 highway mpg.2 The BlueTEC clean diesel
uses no spark plugs at all, but progressively
employs a fast- acting small turbocharger at
lower rpm and a larger, more powerful turbo
as revs increase — for impressive power and
torque at any speed, along with best-in -class

fuel economy of 24/33 mpg city/highway.2
The versatile 7-speed automatic offers Sport
and ECO modes, and continually adapts its
shift points to your current driving style. Its
elegant electronic selector and shift paddles
let you control all gear changes without taking
a hand from the 3 -spoke steering wheel.

On any road, in any season, the confidence
of 4matic® all-wheel drive is standard on
the GLK 250 BlueTEC and a GLK 350 option.
Lightweight, nimble and remarkably efficient,
4matic sends 55% of the engine’s torque to
the rear wheels, to help preserve the sporty
balance that makes a GLK more fun in the
sun, and more reassuring in rain and snow.4

Versatile AGILITY CONTROL
multilink suspension read the road through
the vertical movement of each wheel. It then
instantly adapts the shock absorbers to offer
more precise control in corners and subdued,
silky ride comfort on rough or uneven roads.

Standard 19" alloy wheels are big on style as
well as size. Equipped with runflat tires,
GLK 250 BlueTEC also offers two optional 19"
wheel designs in the Sport and Appearance
Packages. For the GLK 350, the two packages
include even more aggressive 20" wheels.

Courtesy, coming and going.

When walking up to your GLK in the

dark, its Locator Lighting feature can

help make your approach feel more

welcoming and secure. Its cabin and

some exterior lights are automatically

illuminated when you unlock the doors

with the SmartKey remote. After you

exit, it can extend the same courtesy.

Night Security Illumination can keep the

exterior lights on for a preset interval after

you close the doors, to help light a path

for you when you park in a dark area.

Pioneers of accident avoidance.

First introduced by Mercedes-Benz, two systems
to help you avoid potential collisions have since
been adopted by virtually every automaker. The
Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) monitors the
car’s response to driving inputs such as steering
and braking, and responds when needed to help
keep the car on course.4 Brake Assist (BAS®) can
instantly maximize braking pressure if it detects
an emergency braking situation — potentially
shortening your overall stopping distance.6

Brakes that boost confidence and comfort.

The 4-wheel disc brakes integrate technology to
help make driving more reassuring and relaxing.
If you lift off the accelerator quickly, Predictive
Brake Priming sets the pads closer to the discs
for quicker response when you apply the brakes.
In the rain, Automatic Brake Drying periodically
applies the brakes just enough to sweep away
water buildup on the discs. During uphill starts,
Hill- Start Assist helps to prevent unwanted
rollback. And a clever brake HOLD feature lets
you keep the brakes applied without your foot on
the pedal, a convenience that can make waiting
in traffic or at a long stoplight less stressful.6

Reassuring reinforcement.

Approximately 70% of the GLK body structure
is made of high- strength and ultra- high- strength
steel. Its advanced crumple zones are tailored
to the unique needs of an SUV, including its
height relative to other vehicles and its rear
cargo- area design. The reinforced passenger
compartment is designed to help divert impact
energy over, under and around the cabin.

Top-rated safety by industry experts.

While Mercedes-Benz safety engineers have
subjected both virtual and actual vehicles to
an elaborate regimen of crash testing, it’s also
been tested and acclaimed by the experts at
the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
In fact, the IIHS has named the GLK-Class a
“Top Safety Pick” for three years running — in
2011, 2012, and most recently for 2013.

A network of advanced restraints.

Nine standard air bags offer 11-way protection.8
Pelvic air bags and side-impact air bags are
provided for each front seat, along with a
driver’s knee bag. Side curtain air bags add
protection at all four outboard seating positions.
In a collision exceeding a preset threshold,
Emergency Tensioning Devices (ETDs) help to
remove slack from the front and rear outboard
seat belts, while belt force limiters help reduce
peak loads on the occupants. In a sufficiently
severe rear impact, NECK- PRO® active front
head restraints move forward and slightly
upward to help reduce whiplash- type injuries.

Help when you need it most.

The standard Mercedes-Benz mbrace® system9
can automatically place a call for help if an air
bag or ETD is activated, even if you cannot. It
can even transmit the location of the vehicle
and other helpful information. After such a
collision, a GLK also automatically switches on
its emergency flashers, unlocks its doors and
turns on some interior lights, to assist rescuers.

Brighter by day, and by night.

Bright white LED Daytime Running

Lamps help make your presence more

apparent to other drivers. LED taillamps

feature 3- dimensional fiber optics,

and LED brake lamps and turn signals.

With the optional Lighting Package,

Bi-Xenon headlamps generate light that’s

perceived more like natural daylight than

halogen lamps. The package also includes

Active Curve Illumination and Adaptive

Highbeam Assist — two systems that

continuously vary the angle and beam

pattern of the headlamps, to maximize

illumination of corners and straightaways

Mercedes -Benz innovation that can alert you if it detects signs of drowsiness on
long trips. More than 70 variables are measured, starting in the first minutes of each

wheel and the console-mounted central controller

information and personalized vehicle settings. Crisp
gauges and a pair of color screens — a standard

5.8" central display and an illustrated multifunction
readout within the speedometer, are ideally aligned
at the same height and focal distance. There’s no
need to stretch for a touch screen, nor to wipe
fingerprints from one. Standard Bluetooth lets you
make hands-free calls or stream music wirelessly.

Endlessly entertaining, seamlessly in tune. 

The GLK’s standard audio system lets you tune in
HD Radio™ stations, or bring your own music on CD
or via the USB audio port. An array of options let
you expand your playlist to near-infinity: A Media
Interface integrates your iPod® or MP3 device with
the GLK’s displays and controls.15 SiriusXM Radio
offers nationwide programming and six months
of service.16 The harman/kardon LOGIC7® system
outputs 450 watts of surround sound. And the
Multimedia Package adds 10GB of in- dash hard ­drive space for storing your music files, an in- dash

The Multimedia Package also adds the COMAND®

KEYLESS- GO® lets you unlock and drive your GLK
without taking the key from your pocket. A power
liftgate eases loading and unloading. Active Parking
Assist measures open parking spaces for fit as you
drive by, and can expertly back the GLK into your
chosen spot — hands -free. In low-speed maneuvers,
PARKTRONIC helps alert you to nearby obstacles
via audiovisual indicators in the cabin. And when
you’re backing up, a rear view camera can display

Whether you’re dashing across town, driving
cross- country, or decompressing from a day at
the office, the front seats offer comfort that’s
both immediate and long-lasting. The 14-way
power driver seat includes 4- way power lumbar
support, plus a 3-position memory that lets you
store the position of the seat, power steering
column and side mirrors. An 8- way power front
passenger seat is standard, while the Leather
Package upgrades it to match the driver seat,
and bestows both seats with multi-adjustable
luxury head restraints. Heated front seats, as
well as a heated steering wheel, are indulgent
options that will quickly feel like necessities.

Second-row comfort, one-touch folding.

Generous room, a folding center armrest and
large windows help rear-seat passengers enjoy
the GLK’s refined ride. For up to 54.7 cu ft of
cargo space, the 60/40-split seatbacks fold
flat in a single motion, with no need to flip the
cushions or remove the head restraints.18 The
liftgate opens virtually flush with the carpeted
cargo floor for easier loading and unloading, as
a chrome load-sill plate helps protect the rear
bumper. A 12-volt power port, side parcel net
and retractable cargo cover are standard, while
the Premium 1 Package adds a household-type
115-volt AC power outlet and a power liftgate you

The dual- zone automatic climate control offers
precisely tailored comfort year- round. It filters
dust and pollen as tiny as 0.0002" from the air.
A sensor that monitors the angle and intensity
of sunlight, along with dual rear-cabin air
vents, help maintain more consistent comfort
throughout the cabin. The optional Panorama
roof lets all five passengers enjoy the sun and

wood trim — both the standard Burl Walnut or
newly available Black Ash — is hand-polished to
a radiant glow. To preserve its grain, the rolltop
wood console cover is laser-cut from a single
sheet. Optional running boards ease your step
with grippy rubber dots, while pleasing the eye
with their brushed aluminum finish. The Sport
and Appearance Packages also add a brushed
aluminum finish to the standard roof rails.

Roof rack basic carrier.

The core element for attaching a variety of containers and racks, the basic carrier
mounts quickly and securely to the roof without drilling. Accessory racks for bikes,
skis or snowboards — or an aero-designed cargo container — are available separately.

Rear Seat Entertainment system.
