To become not just an SUV but a Mercedes-Benz SUV, the GLE has to do more than fit cargo.

It has to be physically fit — with its muscle toned, and its agility honed. And it must be quick on

its feet — adapting instantly to changing surfaces, changing seasons, and changing times.

While the GLE SUV offers you a breadth of performance
choices, it’s the depth of their engineering that you’ll
appreciate most from behind the wheel. There are V6,
V6 biturbo, V8 biturbo, and handcrafted AMG V8 biturbo
engines. They all feature high -pressure Direct Injection
and multispark ignition that self-tune in concert, and
in real time: They can squeeze fuel into a superfine
spray, and fire the spark plugs multiple times in a single
millisecond — for combustion that’s stronger, cleaner
and more efficient,3 all at once. There’s also a plug - in
hybrid GLE 550e that pairs a V6 biturbo gas engine
with an electric motor, to serve up 479 lb-ft of torque,
0–60 in just 5.3 seconds,4 and up to 50 MPGe on the
highway with its lithium-ion batter y fully charged.

In most GLE SUVs, a smooth, quick -shifting 7G- TRONIC
transmission features an intuitive electronic selector, or
you can take charge of its seven speeds via sporty shif t
paddles — all without taking your hands off the wheel.
The V6 biturbo GLE 400 and AMG GLE 43 feature a new,
even more versatile 9-speed 9G -TRONIC. Also standard
on most every GLE, 4matic® all - wheel drive continually

sends power to the wheels with the best grip — to turn
to rq ue in to tr ac tio n if on e, tw o or even thr e e ti res slip.5 A
sporty rear - wheel - drive GLE 350 model is available, too.

The GLE’s 4- wheel independent multilink suspension
balances composed ride comfort with crisp handling. Its
standard selective damping automatically adjusts each
shock absorber to the road sur face and body motions —
firming up in corners, yet forgiving over rough roads. On
some models, self- leveling AIRMATIC® sus pe ns io n* lets
you ride on a literal cushion of air, balancing comfort
and handling automatically as roads and loads vary. It
lowers at higher speeds to enhance stabilit y and save
fuel. Or you can raise it to negotiate deep ruts or snow.

For more ex treme driving, the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM*
features electrohydraulic stabilizers that tighten up in
corners to help reduce body lean, or relax to enhance
comfor t. And on every GLE, standard Crosswind Assist
helps to seamlessly compensate for strong side gusts
or passing trucks, while Trailer Stability Assist can help
ma ke to win g more se cur e by act i ng to quel l trail er swa y.6

SOOTHING SUPPORT LOUNGE OR LUGGAGE

Luxur y surely takes a front seat in the GLE. Power adjustment
helps you find your ideal driving position, including the 4- way
steering column and both side mirrors. A 3-position memory
system ensures you can easily find it again, especially if you
share the driving with someone else. The front passenger
seat also power- adjusts, while both seats can offer soothing
heat in winter, as well as ventilation* to help keep you cooler
and your clothes drier. Multicontour front seats* feature air
chambers throughout the seat, so you can fine-tune the level
of support for your back, shoulders and thighs. They also add
comfor t-t ype head restraints with adjustable side wings.

While virtually every SUV offers a rear seat that folds down
in a 60/40 split, the GLE goes a few steps better. Each
of the seatbacks also reclines to any of 10 positions. The
outboard seats can also be heated* — with automatic timed
shutoff, so the driver doesn’t have to worry if passengers exit
without turning off the heat. The heating also upgrades the
center vents with rear- cabin airflow controls for the dual­zone climate control, or full controls for the 3-zone option. A
household-t ype 115-volt outlet* lets you plug in a charger or
game console. Cargo gets the royal treatment, too, with rich
carpeting, side nets, a 12- volt outlet, and a power liftgate.

ALWAYS IN STYLE AND IN SEASON

ONBOARD ORCHESTRA FIRST-CLASS SERVICE

Around town or cross-country, every drive deserves a good
soundtrack. The GLE can stream audio from your Bluetooth®
device, or via apps1 like iHeartRadio.® You can tune in local
HD Radio,® or nationwide SiriusXM Radio* with a 6 -month
trial.7 And there are two surround sound systems* to choose
from: An 830-watt harman/kardon LOGIC7® system with 13
speaker s and a subwoofer. Or a Bang & Olufsen® BeoSound™
system with 1,200 total watts. Its 14 active speakers include
door- mounted illuminated Acoustic Lens tweeters. And rear
passengers can enjoy movies, gaming or both at once with a
dual -screen, multi -input Rear Seat Entertainment system.*

The GLE is an SUV that enjoys the open road, but it can also
make a crowded commute feel more refreshing. Thoughtful
engineering is at the heart of Mercedes - Benz luxury, where
innovations you never imagined quickly become must- haves.
Heated and cooled front cupholders* can keep your cold or
hot beverage at a more enjoyable temperature, with red or
blue LED illumination to let you know they’re on. A cabin-air
purification system* teams activated charcoal filtration with
an ionizer that uses an electrical charge to remove impurities
an d odo rs. An d so f t -c los e doo rs* can gen tly draw them sel ves
snug, so even your entr y and exit can be refreshingly quiet.

TIMELESS TAILORING CUTTING-EDGE TECH

Every surface of the GLE cabin reflects a deep tradition of
Mercedes-Benz craftsmanship. The upholstery is precisely
stitched and hand- fitted, from the legendary comfort and
easy care of MB-Tex, to extra-supple designo Nappa leather
with diamond-stitched inserts. Premium materials reward
your gaze and touch, from silver chrome details to a steering
wheel hand-stitched in Nappa leather. No fewer than five trim
options include sleek aluminum, hand-finished woods such
as Natural Grain Brown Ash or high-gloss Anthracite Poplar,
plus deep Black Piano Lacquer. The steering wheel is also
available with matching wood accents, or with a heated rim.

From the timeless luxury of a GLE, there’s also a view of the
future and of today’s state of the art. The high- mounted 8"
screen displays a live color view from the rear view camera
when you shift to Reverse.8 On -screen guidelines move as
you steer, to help you negotiate tight spaces and avoid curbs.
A special mode helps you line up the GLE to attach a trailer.
The Surround View System* composes four cameras into a
birdseye view of your vehicle and its surroundings. And with
Parking Pilot,* ultrasonic sensors and audiovisual displays
help you avoid nearby obstacles. It can also size up available
parking spaces, and even assist in parking your GLE for you.

If you’ve ever dreamed of merging a sports car with an SUV,
Mercedes-AMG has granted you three wishes. All of them join
the DNA of racing champions with high-performance hardware
and chiseled, muscular bodywork. The new AMG GLE 43 SUV10
pairs a 362- hp biturbo V6 with a paddle - shif ted 9-speed to
reach 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.4 Its wheels and body are detailed
in bold gloss black. Lurking behind the twin-crosswing grille of
the 550 - hp AMG GLE 63 and 577- hp GLE 63 S are handcrafted
biturbo V8s. Each conspires with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT® PLUS
7G- TRONIC transmission to hit 60 in as little as 4.1 seconds,
while they embrace you in supple Exclusive Nappa leather. All
three super-SUVs send torrents of torque to their 20" or 21"
AMG® wheels with precisely metered precision: the teamwork
of AMG Per formance 4matic, an AMG Sport Suspension based
on AIRMATIC,® and the multimode AMG DYNAMIC SELECT.

No matter what you’re taking on — from challenging roads to cargo loads, the GLE is eager to

adapt. With just a twist of its DYNAMIC SELECT knob, you can reconfigure its drivetrain and

chassis settings to suit the situation, the season, the surface of the road — or your state of mind.

With up to 80.3 cubic feet of cargo room,11 a GLE fulfills
your desire for a versatile SUV before you even leave
your driveway. But whatever you’re carrying, wherever
you’re climbing, or whenever the road or weather
changes, the DYNAMIC SELECT system puts the GLE’s
many dimensions of driving character at your fingertips.

With a turn of a console control, DYNAMIC SELECT’s
multiple modes fine- tune the powertrain and chassis
to suit your needs. Three core programs — Comfort,
Sport and Slippery, plus an Individual mode you can set
up à la carte — adapt the way the throttle, shifting and
steering respond and feel. Varying equipment adds or
enhances modes, with 4matic® all-wheel-drive models
gaining an Off - Road program, for example. On the AMG
SUVs, AMG DYN AM IC SEL EC T ad ds a Spor t+ mode and
is calibrated to hone response to an even sharper edge.

DYNAMIC SELECT amplifies the benefits of other GLE
options,* too, such as the electrohydraulically variable
stabilizer bars of the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM. It also
adapts the damping of the AIRMATIC® air suspension.
Adjacent pushbuttons also let you vary AIRMATIC’s ride
height or engage its Sport or Comfort mode directly.

The 7" central screen unifies a world of entertainment and
navigation features and options. You can personalize many
conveniences, from seating options to lighting settings. With
Mercedes me and mbrace,® you can access the Internet and
in-vehicle apps.1 COMAND® navigation*12 brings you an 8"
screen with 3D maps and building profiles, plus five years
of SiriusXM Traffic and Weather,7 voice control, and HERE™
Local Search.1 New Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto* link to

GLOW OF APPRECIATION

There’s a certain magic to driving a Mercedes- Benz. Call it
pride, joy or satisfaction, it’s only natural to sneak an extra
glance at the iconic Star in its grille whenever you approach
your GLE. To further this emotion, the side mirror housings
integrate logo projectors. Whenever the vehicle’s illuminated
entry system is activated, an elegant rendering of the Star
shines on the pavement to greet you and guide your step.

The glow of illuminated front door sills* welcomes you as you
open the door. Once in the cabin, ambient lighting* can cast a
glow in three hues: warm Solar, cool Polar or calm Neutral.

The vivid color screen is sleek, slim and sharp in any light.
It’s designed not to need a bulky padded visor, so it’s set high
in the dash, closer to your natural line of sight. Unlike touch
screen systems, its rotary or touchpad* controller is located
on the console — where your hand rests comfortably. The
clear on- screen menus are illustrated and animated, to make
a comprehensive array of entertainment, navigation and
settings easy to comprehend as well. The touchpad works a
lot like your smartphone: You can pinch to zoom its 3D maps,
swipe through menus, and even write an address with your
finger. All without leaving a single fingerprint on the screen.

DARKNESS AND BRIGHT

To slice through the dark of night, active LED headlamps*
generate light that ’s whiter, brighter, and more like natural
daylight. They also adapt with your steering actions and to
traffic ahead, to shine more light where you need it, without
causing glare for other drivers. The plug - in GLE 550e active
headlamps incorporate distinctive “Hybrid Blue” elements,
a colorful detail also found in its brake calipers and fender
badges. You can also choose an Exterior Sport Package*
with 20" AMG® wheels and muscular AMG body styling. Or
take your GLE to the dark side: The Night Package renders
styling elements from air dam to roof in dramatic gloss black.

ADVERSITY IS WHEN IT SHINES

AVANT-GUARDIANS TRAFFIC TAMERS

An advanced network of multirange radar, stereo cameras
and other sensors, Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive includes
industry -leading standard and available assists that can help
make driving safer, less stressful or simply more enjoyable.

Standard Active Brake Assist uses radar to help detect
if you’re approaching a vehicle ahead too quickly. It can
alert you to brake, or even initiate braking automatically.14
ATTENTION ASSIST® helps detect a driver getting drowsy on
longer trips.15 Trailer Stability Assist helps subdue trailer sway
while towing.6 All of these systems are standard equipment.

The Driver Assistance Package adds a suite of innovations.
Distance Pilot DISTRONIC® cruis e co ntr o l uses ra d a r to ad a p t
