A Mercedes-Benz coupe is never a mere two- door sedan. Its unique magic captures the passion

of driving and the romance of the road. Infuse it with the character of an SUV and the soul of an

AMG sports car, and you’ll have the GLE Coupe. There may be no end to the doors it can open.

Let’s get right to it : With four doors, a power lif tgate
and a commanding stance, “coupe” is probably not the
first word that comes to mind when you see this out-of­the- box reimagining of the GLE. But if you think about
the qualities that have long defined a Mercedes-Benz
coupe, you’ll realize the term is a tailor - fit: It’s a fusion
of racing- bred performance and finely tailored luxury.
A sleek profile with a tautly arching roof. And a feeling
of driving enjoyment that can be shared by all aboard.

The GLE Coupes embody this spirit even more strongly
because they are part of the Mercedes-AMG bloodline —
born from a stable of thoroughbreds and raised to carr y
on a tradition of ever- advancing performance. From the
small German orchard town of Af falterbach, AMG has
been conquering tracks and earning trophies for nearly

half a century. The people of AMG are more than racers.
They’re dreamers, visionaries and perfectionists. They
develop technologies that heighten power, like patented
NANOSLIDE® cylinder walls that slash friction and wear.
They shatter limitations, creating rear-biased all-wheel
drive that’s tenacious yet nimble. They break Formula 1®

Nobody admires a might- do attitude. A GLE Coupe converts can-do into done well. More than

just an attitude, it has the aptitude to wield its massive torque with precision, and to turn agility

and ability into accomplishment. Might is not a word in the GLE Coupe’s lexicon. But mighty is.

Lurking beneath the twin power domes of a GLE Coupe
hood is a performance legacy that AMG keeps driving
into the future. Advanced technologies yield greater
power from less displacement, and instantly dispatch
it to the wheels that can best turn torque into traction.

An AMG-enhanced biturbo V6 can rush the AMG GLE 43
from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.3 Under its distinctive
engine cover, high-pressure Direct Injection and rapid­multispark ignition team up to optimize performance
with millisecond speed and molecular precision. Higher
turbo boost helps the compact 3.0L V6 output 362 hp
and 384 lb-ft of torque. An AMG- enhanced 9G-TRONIC
9- speed puts all that power at your feet, or fingertips.

A handcraf ted AMG 5.5L biturbo V8 thrusts the 577-hp
GLE 63 S to 60 in 4.1 seconds. An AMG SPEEDSHIF T®
PLUS 7G -TRONIC expertly channels the V8’s torrent of
torque (561 lb-ft) over a wide span of revs ( from 1,750
to 5,250 rpm), for a rush of response in any situation.

AMG Performance 4matic® all-wheel drive sends 60 %
of either coupe’s torque to the ultrawide rear tires on
21" or 22" wheels.* It’s a setup engineered to balance
all-season SUV confidence with legendary AMG agility.

PASSENGER PARADISE DRIVER’S DELIGHT

There’s even more to the GLE than its fusion of a coupe soul
and SUV muscle. Its cabin offers the spaciousness and finery
of a Mercedes -Benz luxur y sedan. The commanding view
from the heated front seats can be further enhanced with
cooling ventilation as well as multicontour adjustment with a
massage feature.* Upholstery is finely tailored in an array of
colors, materials and sew pat terns. The rear seat is among
the widest in class, with seatbacks that can be heated* and
recline to several positions. The standard power Panorama
roof lets all five passengers take in the sun and stars via a
heat-rejecting tinted glass panel that tilts up or slides open.

A vivid 8" color screen is set high in the central dash. Its
sleek slimline design lets it be placed closer to your line of
sight, while its rotary/touchpad controller is located on the
console — where your hand falls naturally and comfortably.
The COMAND® system’s illustrated and animated menus
help make the GLE’s extensive entertainment, navigation4
and convenience settings easy to reach, and easy to grasp.
The touchpad works a lot like your smar tphone, so you can
pinch to zoom its 3D maps, swipe through menus, and even
write an address with your finger. Nearby controls adjust the
air suspension and driving modes of AMG DYNAMIC SELECT.

TAKES CARE OF YOU LIKE A COUPE

ROOM TO ROAM WELCOME HOME

Power- open the GLE Coupe’s sloping liftgate and you’ll find
23 cubic feet of richly carpeted space under its removable
cargo cover. That ’s virtually the same as the GLE SUV — one
of the roomiest in its class. The rear seats fold down in a
60/40 split, nearly tripling the cargo capacity to 60.7 cubic
feet.1 The cargo area features a side parcel net, grocery bag
hooks, and a 12V power port. There’s also a household-style
115V power outlet in the rear seating area, useful for keeping
your devices charged on the go. It’s also ideal for plugging in
a game console or other device, especially if you opt for the
dual-screen, multiple- input Rear Seat Entertainment system.

The excitement of driving a GLE Coupe starts before you even
get in. To acknowledge your anticipation, its illuminated entry
system shines a Three -Pointed Star on the pavement from
each side mirror. Once underway, the GLE Coupe’s arching
white LED Daytime Running Lamps help get you noticed —
both by oncoming drivers and admiring pedestrians. By night,
active LED headlamps generate whiter, brighter light that ’s
more like natural daylight. They also adapt their beams to
your steering actions and to traffic ahead, to shine more light
where you need it, without creating glare for other drivers.
Wide, wraparound LED taillamps leave a lasting impression.

TAKES CHARGE LIKE AN SUV

ARTFUL AMBIENCE ADVANCED ASSISTS

THE GLE cockpit wraps its industry -leading innovation in a
tradition of craftsmanship. Classic analog gauges elegantly
coexist with vivid color displays, both ideally suited to convey
their vital information. The multifunction steering wheel is
hand-stitched in Nappa leather, while putting the features
you use most as close as your thumbs. An AMG Performance
steering wheel with DINAMICA microsuede side grips is
also available. Six cabin trim options range from low- sheen
Natural Grain Brown Ash wood, to carbon fiber and Black
Piano Lacquer. And the glow of multicolor ambient lighting*
can outline the cabin in any of three driver-selectable hues.

An advanced network of radar, cameras and other sensors,
the assists of Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive can help make
driving safer, less stressful and more enjoyable. Active Brake
Assist helps detect if you’re approaching a vehicle ahead too
quickly. It can alert you to brake, and initiate braking if you
don’t.5 Distance Pilot DISTRONIC® cruise control* adapts to
the traffic flow — even stop -and-go6 — while Steering Pilot
helps keep you centered in your lane. Active Blind Spot*7 and
Lane Keeping Assists*8 help ease driving on multilane roads.
Other systems can alert you to cross -traffic or pedestrians
in your path, or help prepare for an impending rear collision.

Want a straight answer on how well an SUV drives? Throw it a curve. The GLE Coupe will be quick to respond,

with an advanced 4-wheel independent, electronically controlled, multimode, height-adjusting air suspension.

It not only has the brawn to rise to the occasion. It also has the brains to lower. And the confidence to let you decide.

With the GLE, Mercedes -AMG has raised the performance coupe
to a higher power, and a higher standard. Its muscular body rides
on an even more athletic chassis that converts pressure into poise.

At each corner is a substantial 21" or 22" wheel — 10" wide at the
front axle and no less than 11" wide at the rear — plus a sizable disc
brake and a multimode air spring - strut. The AMG Sport Suspension
based on AIRMATIC® adapts instantly to driving dynamics. It firms
up in corners, lowers to enhance stability and ef ficiency at speed,
and lets you adjust its ride height. With five modes, AMG DYNAMIC

SELECT lets you vary the suspension, steering, throttle, shifting,
ESP® and eve n th e ex ha us t sound wit h a twist of a co ns ole control .

Crosswind Assist seamlessly helps negate the ef fects of side
gusts or passing trucks. And the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM* employs
electrohydraulically variable front and rear stabilizer bars. In hard
corners, they tighten to minimize body lean — even more so in the
Sp or t modes of AMG DYN AMI C SELEC T. In gentle tur ns or str aight ­ahead driving, they relax to enhance ride comfort. Curv y roads to
heavy loads, a GLE Coupe takes it on with strength, and in stride.
