¾ This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
¾ Do not look directly into the beam of light and do
not point it at people or animals. The beam of light can lead to injuries.
¾ Do not shine the beam of light onto a mirror or
other reflective surfaces. The uncontrolled deflected beam could injury people or animals.
¾ Switch the beam of light off before you put the
device down.
¾ Don’t use any magnifying instruments (e.g.
magnifying glasses) to look at the LED beam.

¾ Do not operate the device if it is damaged.
Damaged devices can put your life at risk.
¾ Do not expose the device to
- any extreme temperatures,
- any strong vibrations,
¾ Under no circumstances should you take the
device apart. Improper repairs may place the user in considerable danger. Repairs should only be carried out by specialist personnel.
CAUTION! Do not stare into the beam.
- any severe mechanical stress,
- any direct solar radiation,
- any moisture. Otherwise this may result in damage to the device.
 Safety instructions for batteries
DANGER TO LIFE! Batteries could be swallowed,
which could pose a lethal hazard. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical help immediately.

¾ Remove the batteries from the device if they are not
going to be used for a prolonged period.
¾ CAUTION! RISK OF EXPLOSION!
The batteries must never be recharged!
¾ Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of
batteries in the proper manner!
¾ Keep batteries away from children; do not throw
batteries onto a fire; do not short-circuit the batteries and do not take them apart.
¾ When inserting the batteries, ensure the correct
polarity! This is shown in the battery magazine.
¾ Remove spent batteries immediately from the
device. There is an increased danger of leaks!
¾ Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal
domestic waste!

¾ If the above instructions are not complied with, the
batteries may discharge themselves beyond their end voltage. There is then a danger of leaking. If the batteries have leaked inside your device, you should remove them immediately in order to prevent damage to the device!

¾ Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous
membranes. Any parts of the body coming into contact with battery acid should be rinsed off with copious amounts of water and / or a doctor contacted if necessary!
¾ Always replace all batteries at the same time and

 Inserting / replacing batteries
(see diagram)
¾ Insert the battery cartridge
and turn the base / battery compartment cap 6 clockwise onto the product.

¾ Remove the battery cartridge 4 out of the product
by turning the base / battery compartment cap 6 anti-clockwise and pulling the battery cartridge 4 out.
¾ Insert three 1.5 V / AA batteries.
Note: Ensure correct polarity. This is indicated on the battery cartridge 4.

 Switching on / off, choosing
the flash function
¾ Press the ON / OFF button 5 to switch the LED
lamp 1 on.
¾ Press the ON / OFF button 5 again. The
SOS-flashing function will now start.

¾ Press the ON / OFF button 5 again to switch the
LED lamp 1 off.
¾ Fold out the hanger 2 to suspend the LED lamp
from a suitable suspension point. The hanger 2 can be turned through 360°.
 Standing up / suspending
the device
The LED lamp can be used in three ways without
¾ Hold the magnet 3 against a metallic magnetic
surface. The LED lamp remains in this position.

Environmental damage through incorrect disposal of the batteries!
That is why you should dispose of used batteries at a local collection point.
Batteries may not be disposed of with the usual domestic waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and are subject to hazardous waste treatment rules and regulations. The chemical symbols for heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
