electrical products.
Do not use the article if you detect any kind of
damage.
DANGER - EXPLOSION
HAZARD! Do not use the solar
light in explosive environments con-
taining flammable vapours, gasses or dusts.
Product-specific
safety instructions
Do not expose the solar light to strong vibra-
tion or high mechanical loads.
Make sure the solar cell is free of dirt and free
of snow and ice in winter. Otherwise the
performance of the solar panel will diminish.
Cold temperatures negatively impact the bat-
tery operating time. Clean and store the solar
light in a dry, warm location during extended
periods of non-use, e.g. in winter.
In the event of damage, repairs or other prob-
lems with the solar light, please contact an
electrician. The LEDs cannot be replaced!
DANGER - EXPLOSION
HAZARD! Use only rechargeable
batteries of the recommended type.

Functionality
The solar module built into this product converts
sunlight into electricity and stores it in the recharge-
able NiMH battery. Switches on the light as it
begins to get dark.
The in-built light-emitting diodes are a very long-life
and energy-saving light source.
The light duration depends on the amount of sun-
light, the angle of light on the solar panel and the
temperature (the battery capacity is temperature-
dependent). A vertical angle of light at tempera-
tures above the freezing point is ideal.
The battery does not achieve maximum capacity
until after several charge and discharge cycles.
Start-up
Assembling the light
Remove the individual parts from the packaging
and assemble the solar light as shown in figures
A1–A3. There are two options for doing so: the
spacer tube
3
will give the solar light a height of
approx. 40 cm (see Fig. A2), using the spacer tube
2
it will have a height of approx. 27 cm (see
Fig. A3).
Insert the selected spacer tube
2
or
3
into
the designated opening on the solar module
5
(see Fig. A1).
Then insert the ground stake
1
into the bot-
tom of the spacer tube
2
or
3
(see Fig. A1).
Installing the light
The solar light can be installed without a power
source. Only use the solar light with the included
ground stake
1
. Push the assembled solar light far
enough into the ground (lawn, flower bed) so it is
stable.
Since the light relies on sunlight, consider and ob-
serve the following points prior to installation:
Select a location where the solar module
5
is
exposed to direct sunlight during the day.
Position the solar light so the solar module
5
is not covered or in the shade (trees, roof
ridge, etc.).
Be sure the solar module
5
is not impacted
by another light source, e.g. yard or street light-
ing, as this will prevent the light from switching
on at twilight. Remember many light sources
will only switch on due to the time or movement
during the night.
Prior to initial use
The solar light features a twilight sensor and an
On/Off switch. When fully charged the light on
time is approx. 6 to 8 hours.
Unscrew the sphere
4
from the solar module
5
counter-clockwise. Set the On/Off switch
g
to
ON before using it for the first time.
Screw the sphere
4
clockwise all the way into
the solar module
5
and place the solar light
in the sun.
Light functions
Switch
g
set to ON - the solar light will auto-
matically switch on at twilight. At dawn the
light will automatically switch off.
Switch
g
set to OFF - the solar light is perma-
nently switched off.
Switch
h
set to RGB - the solar light will switch
between the colours RED - GREEN - BLUE with
a flowing colour transition and repeat the
cycle. The entire process take approx 55 sec.
Switch
h
set to RGB OFF - the solar light
will continuously light up in the current colour
selection.
Replacing the battery
The rechargeable battery is designed for pro-
longed operation. However, after a long time of
use if may need to be replaced. Rechargeable bat-
teries are subject to natural wear and the output
9 GB
Start-up / Troubleshooting / Maintenance/ Cleaning
may decrease. For optimal performance the batter-
ies should be replaced every 12 months.
Replace the battery as shown in figures B1–B3.
Unscrew the sphere
4
counter-clockwise.
Set the switch
g
on the solar module
5
to
OFF.
Remove the solar module
5
from the spacer
tube
2
or
3
.
Unscrew the two screws
a
on the underside
counter-clockwise using a suitable cross-tip and
remove the
b
housing from the remainder of
the module (see Fig. B1).
Then also unscrew the three screws
c
on the
underside of the cover counter-clockwise using
a suitable cross-tip screwdriver and remove the
cover
d
from the remainder of the module
(see Fig. B2).
Remove the battery
f
and replace with a
new, charged rechargeable battery of the
same type (see „Technical Data“). Please note
the polarity (+/-) when inserting the rechargea-
ble battery (see Fig. B3).
Now reattach the cover
d
to the solar cell
e
and secure clockwise using the three screws
c
.
Then reattach the housing
b
and secure
clockwise using the two screws
a
.
Reattach the solar module
5
to the spacer
tube
2
or
3
.
Set the switch
g
back to ON.
Screw the sphere
4
all the way onto the solar
module
5
turning clockwise.

w otoczeniu narażonym eksplozją, w ktόrym
znajdują się palne opary, gazy lub pyły.
Wskazówki bezpieczeństwa
charakterystyczne dla produktu
Lampy solarnej nie należy narażać na wpływ
silnych wibracji lub znacznych obciążeń me-
chanicznych.
Należy uważać, aby ogniwo słoneczne nie
było zabrudzone i w zimie przykryte śniegiem
lub lodem. Zmniejsza to wydajność ogniwa
słonecznego.
Niskie temperatury mają negatywny wpływ na
żywotność eksploatacyjną baterii. Jeżeli lampa
solarna nie będzie potrzebna przez dłuższy
czas, na przykład w zimie, należy ją oczyścić i
przechować w suchym, ciepłym pomieszczeniu.
Wprzypadku uszkodzeń, konieczności na-
prawy lub innych problemów z lampą solarną
należy zwrócić się do wykwalifikowanego
elektryka. Wymiana diod LED jest niemożliwa.

Wskazówki dotyczące bezpieczeństwa / Sposób działania / UruchomienieWskazówki dotyczące bezpieczeństwa
ZAGROŻENIE POŻAROWE!
Nie należy zwierać biegunów aku-
mulatorów. Może to spowodować
przegrzanie, zagrożenie pożarowe lub pęknię-
cie akumulatorów.
ZAGROŻENIE NIEBEZPIE-
CZEŃSTWO WYBUCHU!
Nigdy nie należy wrzucać akumula-
torów do ognia lub wody.
OSTRZEŻENIE NOSIĆ RĘ-
KAWICE OCHRONNE! Akumu-
latory, z których nastąpił wyciek, lub
akumulatory uszkodzone mogą w przypadku
kontaktu ze skórą spowodować oparzenie
substancją żrącą; dlatego w takim przypadku
należy koniecznie stosować odpowiednie ręka-
wice ochronne.
Sposób działania
Wbudowane do artykułu ogniwo solarne
przetwa-
rza w przypadku promieniowania słonecznego światło
na energię elektryczną i magazynuje ją w akumu-
latorze NiMh. Światło jest włączane o zmierzchu.
Wbudowane diody luminescencyjne stanowią bar-
dzo długotrwałe i energooszczędne źródło światła.
Czas trwania świecenia zależy od promieniowania
słonecznego, kąta padania światła na ogniwo so-
larne oraz od temperatury (z powodu zależności
pojemności akumulatora od temperatury). Idealny
jest prostopadły kąt padania światła przy tempera-
turach powyżej temperatury zamarzania.
Dopiero po większej ilości cykli ładowania i rozła-
dowania akumulatorki zyskują swoją maksymalną
wydajność.

Ustawienie lampy
Lampę solarną można ustawiać niezależnie od
źródła prądu. Należy użyć lampy solarnej wyłącz-
nie z załączonym prętem stojaka do wbicia w
ziemię
1
. Wetknąć zmontowaną lampę solarną
wziemię (trawnik, grządkę kwiatową) na tyle głę-
boko, aby stała stabilnie.
Ponieważ lampa zdana jest na energię słoneczną,
przed ustawieniem należy pamiętać i wziąć pod
uwagę następujące punkty:
Wybrać miejsce, w którym moduł solarny
5
przez cały dzień będzie wystawiony na bez-
pośrednie promienie słoneczne.
Ustawić lampę solarną w taki sposób, aby
moduł solarny
5
nie był niczym przykryty lub
osłonięty (drzewa, kalenica, itp.).
Sprawdzić, czy moduł solarny
5
nie jest nara-
żony na działanie innego źródła światła, jak
np. oświetlenia podwórka lub lampy ulicznej,
ponieważ wtedy światło nie włączy się wraz z
nastaniem zmierzchu. Należy pamiętać, że
wiele źródeł światła włącza się dopiero w
nocy w zależności od czasu i ruchu.
Przed pierwszym
uruchomieniem
Lampa solarna wyposażona jest w czujnik zmierz-
chu i przełącznik Wł./Wył. Czas świecenia wynosi
przy pełnym naładowaniu ok. 6 do 8 godzin.

Wymiana akumulatora
Akumulator został zaprojektowany w celu długiego
użytkowania. Mimo to w czasie długiego użytko-
wania może być wymagana wymiana akumula-
tora. Akumulatory podlegają naturalnemu zużyciu,
przez co moc może zostać osłabiona. Aby osią-
gnąć optymalną wydajność, akumulatory powinny
być wymieniane co 12 miesięcy.
Akumulator należy wymienić zgodnie z rysunkami
B1–B3.

pomocą odpowiedniego śrubokrętu krzyżako-
wego w kierunku odwrotnym do ruchu wskazó-
wek zegara i usunąć obudowę

od reszty
modułu (patrz rys. B1).
Następnie przekręcić także trzy śruby
c
na
dolsnej stronie pokrywy za pomocą odpowied-
niego śrubokrętu krzyżakowego w kierunku
odwrotnym do ruchu wskazówek zegara i
oddzielić pokrywę
d
od reszty modułu (patrz
rys. B2).
Wyjąć akumulator
f
i zastąpić go nowym,
naładowanym akumulatorem tego samego
typu (patrz „Dane techniczne“). Podczas wkła-
dania baterii zwrócić uwagę na odpowiednie
ułożenie biegunów (+/-) (patrz rys. B3).
Teraz ponownie nałożyć pokrywę
d
na
ogniwo solarne
e
i przymocować ją za
pomocą trzech śrub
c
w kierunku zgodnym z
ruchem wskazówek zegara.
Następnie nałożyć ponownie obudowę
b
i
zamocować ją za pomocą obu śrub
a
w kie-
runku zgodnym z ruchem wskazówek zegara.
Ponownie nałożyć moduł solarny

Konserwacja / Czyszczenie
Diody nie są wymienne. Lampa solarna nie
wymaga konserwacji.
Nie używać żrących środków czyszczących.
Lampę solarną należy regularnie czyścić su-
chą, niestrzępiącą się szmatką. W przypadku
silniejszego zabrudzenia należy użyć lekko
zwilżonej szmatki.
Należy wymienić akumulatory, jeśli czas dzia-
łania zauważalnie zmniejszy się pomimo do-
brego napromieniowania słonecznego (patrz
rozdział „Wymiana akumulatora“). Używać
wyłącznie akumulatorów odpowiedniej wielko-
ści i zalecanego typu (patrz rozdział „Dane
techniczne”).
Wyciek z akumulatora
Jeśli nastąpi wyciek z akumulatora należy spróbo-
wać usunąć ciecz miękką szmatką z komory na
baterię.

CZEŃSTWO OPARZENIA
CHEMICZNEGO! Wyciek z
akumulatorów może spowodować oparzenia
chemiczne.
