BACKGROUND
This Service Bulletin has been issued to advise that a Warranty Extension Program has been introduced for 2GR-FE Oil Cooler Pipe on
certain RX350 vehicles sold in Australia.
DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION
The subject vehicles that are equipped with 2GR-FE engines use an engine oil cooler assembly to maintain optimal engine oil temperature
during all operating conditions. Lexus has received some reports that an engine oil leak or seep may develop in the oil hoses between the oil
cooler and the engine.
INVOLVED VEHICLES
There are 3594 Lexus RX350 (GGL15) in the Australian market that are eligible for this extended warranty coverage.
Notes:
1/ Although the involved vehicles are within the tabled VIN ranges, not all vehicles in these VIN ranges were sold in the Australian market.
2/ (#) indicates additional check digit (alpha or numeric).
TIMING / OWNER NOTIFICATION
Owners of involved vehicles received a letter advising of this Warranty Extension Campaign at their last known address requesting that they
present their vehicle to any Lexus Dealer for inspection and/or replacement. Mail out of owner letters commenced on or about 1st September
2019.

ELIGIBILITY
Owners with involved vehicles will need to have their vehicle inspected by a Lexus Dealer. The Lexus Dealer will inspect the oil cooler pipe and
if any signs of leaking are evident, the vehicle will be eligible to replace the metal/rubber oil cooler pipe for an all metal pipe.
INFORMATION FOR OWNERS
Owners who experience the condition described above are advised to contact their local authorised Lexus dealership. The dealership will
need to verify the condition and vehicle eligibility.
Owners are advised to have their VIN available when contacting their Lexus Dealers.
If their vehicle is eligible for this Warranty Extension Program, a Lexus Dealer will make an appointment to confirm/complete this activity on
their vehicle.
