■ Engine immobilizer system
The security indicator flashes after the
engine switch has been turned off to indicate that the system is operating.
The indicator stops flashing after the engine
switch has been turned to ACCESSORY or
IGNITION ON mode to indicate that the
system has been canceled.
■ Alarm
The alarm uses light and sound to give an alert when an intrusion is detected.
To set the alarm:
Close the doors and hood, and lock all the doors. The system will be set automatically after
30 seconds.
The security indicator changes from being on to flashing when the system is set.
To deactivate or stop the alarm:
● Unlock the doors.
● Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY or IGNITION ON mode, or start the engine.
(The alarm will be deactivated or stopped after a few seconds.)
Performing the following operations when carrying the electronic key on your person
starts the engine or changes engine switch modes.

the vehicle.

To drive using temporary shift range selection, operate the “-” paddle shift switch while the
shift lever in D. Changing the shift range enables the level of engine braking force to be
selected. The shift range can then be selected by operating the “-” and “+” paddle shift
switches.

curves, a camera, which is located on the upper part of the windshield, uses this system to
recognize the white (yellow) lane markers and when the driver has deviated from the lane.
If the system judges that the vehicle has deviated from the current traffic lane, along with
alerting the driver with a buzzer and indications in the multi-information display, it will provide assistance by operating the steering wheel to avoid further deviation from the marker

Pressing the switch turns the system on or off. When the switch is set to on, the switch’s
indicator illuminates and the buzzer sounds. This switch is for both Blind Spot Monitor
function and Rear Cross Traffic Alert function.
BSM outside rear view mirror indicators
Blind Spot Monitor function:
When a vehicle is detected in the blind spot, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicator
on the detected side illuminates. If the turn signal lever is operated when a vehicle is in
the blind spot, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicator flashes.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert function:
When a vehicle approaching from the right or left rear of the vehicle is detected, the
BSM outside rear view mirror indicators flash.
When a vehicle approaching from the right or left rear of the vehicle is detected, a
buzzer sounds from behind the right-hand rear seat.

Intrusion sensor (if equipped)

● The intrusion sensor detects intruders or movement in the vehicle.
● The tilt sensor detects changes in vehicle inclination, such as when the vehicle is towed
away.
The sensor may trigger the alarm in the following situations:
● People or pets are in the vehicle.
● A window or the moon roof (if
equipped) is open.
In this case, the sensor may detect the
following:
• Wind or the movement of objects such
as leaves and insects inside the vehicle
• Ultrasonic waves emitted from devices
such as the intrusion sensors of other
vehicles
• The movement of people outside the
vehicle
● Unstable items, such as dangling accessories or clothes hanging on the coat
hooks, are in the vehicle.
