There are no serviceable parts in this device. Attempts to open this device by unauthorised personnel may cause further dame and void the warranty.
Picture quality will be dependent on signal quality and strength. This device may not be able to pick up all stations in all areas. For best results use in a strong signal area and ensure that the antenna has a clear unobstructed view of the sky.

PREPARING THE BATTERY PACK FOR USE
The battery pack allows the TV to be used without the AC adaptor
Make sure that the batteries used in the pack are fully charged and are in good condition.
Rechargeable batteries can be used but not charged in this pack.
Attaching the Battery Pack
Fit 4 X AA Size batteries to the pack as shown.
Match the batteries to the images in the pack.
Locate the top of the battery pack and hold upwards.
Position the pack on the back of the DVT.
Push the battery pack downwards until the pack locks in place.
Makes sure the pack is locked in place before using the DVT.
To remove the battery pack from the DVT, locate the locking tab at the top of the pack and press in. Push the pack upwards until tabs are clear of the DVT.

QUICK START FOR FIRST TIME USE
When turned on for the first time you will be required to check some basic settings for the
DVBT-C30B
1) Turn the DVBT-C30B on and wait for the following screen to be shown and then press the OK button.
2) Select your OSD Language, your current region, whether it’s summer time at present. Use [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to highlight the item. Use [VOL+] button to set the highlight item. Press [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to scroll up and down the options. Select one by pressing the [OK] button or exit the setting by pressing the [MENU] button.
3) Perform auto search to find available TV DVB-T channels. Use [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to highlight the Auto Search item. Press [OK] button to start.
When the scan is complete you will be able to watch Digital TV channels available in your current area.
Please note that playback quality is subject to signal strength and quality at the current location. Changing location may improve quality in some cases.

USING THE MAIN MENU
In the main Menu Mode you can highlight the service type, program list, preview, audio channel, program editing, program info, automatic search, manual search, and system setting to enable the related function. You can use the [CH +], [CH - ], [VOL + ], and the [VOL
- ] buttons navigate around the menu. When the required item is highlighted, press the [OK] button to select.
Service Type Selection of DVB-T TV or DVB-T Radio or FM Radio Program list Program List (EPG) To show the information of all the available channels and access the Electronic Program Guide (EPG Channel Management To rearrange and to edit the TV channel listing using skip, move and delete functions.
Automatic Search To search the available channels automatically.
Channel information To display the channel broadcasting parameters and signal information.
Antenna Selection To choose to receive signal through either built-in antenna or external antenna.
Display Settings Set display settings such as brightness, aspect ratio and auto backlight function.

Region and Language Settings
Set up the OSD language and change region settings
Subtitle
To turn the subtitle function ON or OFF (if service is available)
Teletext Function Turns the Teletext function ON or OFF (if service is available)
Audio Settings Selects master or secondary audio language. (if service is available)
System Reset
To reset system to factory defaults and displays system software version.

MAIN MENU IN DETAIL
Service Type
Selection of Digital TV, Digital Radio or FM Radio program
The service type will be switched between Digital TV, Digital Radio and FM Radio program as [OK] button is pressed.
Program List
To display channel information, preview the program, and to access the Electronic Program Guide (EPG)
1. Select “Program List” in the TV menu and press [OK] button. The “Program List” will appear on screen.
2. Press [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to scroll up/down the channel list to preview the program.
3. Press [VOL+] button to show the details of the channel.
4. Press [MENU] button to exit
Automatic Search
To search the available channels automatically.
1. Browse the TV menu screen using [CH+]/[CH­]/[VOL+][VOL-] buttons to highlight the automatic search option.
2. Press [OK] button to start the channel search.

Channel Management
To rearrange and to edit the TV channel listing using skip, move, lock, and delete functions.
1. Select “Channel Management” in the TV Menu and press the [OK] button. The management screen will appear as in the picture on the right.
2. Press the [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to scroll up/down the channel list. Press [OK] button to enter the Editing menu for the selected channel.
3. Press [MENU] button to exit anytime.

Skip a Channel
1. After entering the channel editing menu, select the “SKIP” visual-button on screen by pressing [VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons.
2. Press [OK] button to activate or deactivate it.
NOTE: this function “temporarily” removes the channel from the program list. Users can restore the channels by deactivating the function.

Move a Channel
1. After entering the channel editing menu, select the “MOVE” visual-button on screen by pressing [VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons and press [OK] button.
2. Use [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to move the channel up or down in the list.
3. Press [OK] button to save the new listing.

Delete a Channel
1. After entering the channel editing menu, select the “DELETE” visual-button on screen by using [VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons.
2. Press [OK] button to delete the channel.
NOTE: this function will “permanently” delete the channel from the current program list. Users restore the channels only by performing auto search.

Channel Information
To display the channel broadcasting parameters and signal information
1. Browse the TV menu screen using the [CH+]/[CH-]/[VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons to highlight the channel information option.
2. Press [OK] button to display the channel information.
3. Press [MENU] button to exit
Antenna Selection
Change the option of using the inbuilt antenna or an external antenna
1. Browse the TV menu screen using [CH+]/[CH­]/[VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons to highlight the antenna selection option.
2. Press [OK] button to enter.
3. Press [VOL+]/[OK] key to access the option­list.
4. Use [CH+]/[CH-] to scroll up/down. Press [OK] button to select one option.
5. Press [MENU] key to exit.
Display Settings
To set the aspect ratio, adjust brightness as well as switch on or off the auto backlight function.

1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to highlight the item you want to adjust.
2. Press [VOL+]/[OK] button and use [CH+]/[CH-] to scroll up and down the options.
3. Select one by pressing the [OK] button or exit the setting by pressing the [MENU] button.
4. After adjusting, press [MENU] button to exit the “Display Setting”.

Region & Language Settings
To set up the OSD language and DVB-T regional settings
1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to highlight the item you want to adjust.
2. Press [VOL+]/[OK] button and use [CH+]/[CH-] to scroll up and down the options.
3. Select one by pressing the [OK] button or exit the setting by pressing the [MENU] button.
4. After adjusting, press [MENU] button to exit the “Region & Language Settings”.
Subtitles
To activate or deactivate the subtitle function
1. Press the [OK] button to start the searching
2. After the searching, press [CH-]/[CH+] to choose the language.
3. Press the [OK] button to select.
4. Press the [MENU] button to exit

Teletext
To start the Teletext function
Teletext is no longer broadcast in Australia except of the transmission of subtitles (accessible in Subtitles). This service may be available in other countries and use of this feature may vary between services.
Audio Settings
To select master or secondary language when broadcast
1. Browse the TV menu screen using [CH+]/[CH­]/[VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons to highlight the audio option. Press [OK] button to enter the audio menu.
2. Use [VOL+]/[VOL-] buttons to select stereo/left/right audio channel. Scroll the available language using [CH+]/[CH-] buttons. Press [OK] button to select the language.
3. Press [MENU] key to exit.
System Reset
To check the system software version and make system reset
1. Press [OK] to enter the system reset menu.
2. Press [OK] again to proceed the resetting.

DVB-T RADIO SERVICE
As the Radio function is selected, Radio service will instantly start and the radio service screen will be shown on display. Press [CH+]/[CH-] to select your preferred radio channel.
The menu of Digital Radio is same as Digital TV service. Please refer to man menu in details.

FM RADIO SERVICE
Press the [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to manually search FM programs. Pressing [CH+]/[CH-] for about one second will start the auto channel search feature.
IMPORTANT: Please plug earphone for improved FM reception
Favourites list
1. Press [OK] to open Favourite List
2. In Favourite List, press [VOL+]/[VOL-] to switch loading Favourite list & storing Favourite list page.
Load Favourite List
1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] to move between favourite
2. Press [OK] to hearing current Favourite or press [MENU] to cancel loading Favourite programs.

Store Favourite List
1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] to adjust preferred Favourite location
2. Press [OK] to store current frequency to preferred Favourite location or press [MENU] to cancel storing Favourite programs.
FM RADIO MENU
Press [Menu] to enter Menu in FM Radio mode.
Service Type
Selection of Digital TV, Digital Radio or FM Radio program
1. Same as menu of Digital TV. The service type will be switched between Digital TV, Digital Radio and FM Radio program as [OK] button is pressed.

Favourites List
Loading your favourite FM programs
1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] to move between favourite
2. Press [OK] to hearing current favourite.
Add to favourite List
Saving your favourite FM programs
1. Press [CH+]/[CH-] to adjust preferred favourite location
2. Press [OK] to store current frequency to preferred favourite location.
Speakers
Turning the Speaker ON or OFF
During FM Radio Service, plugging earphone will not cause the speaker of the main unit to be turned OFF. To turn the inbuilt speaker ON or OFF do the following.
1. Press the [Menu] button to display the menu. Use the [CH+]/[CH-] buttons to change to the speaker icon.
2. Press the [OK] button to turn the internal speaker ON or OFF.
3. Press the [Menu] button to return to the FM radio screen.
The speaker status is displayed on the screen
= Speaker is ON
= Speaker is OFF

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Most of the troubleshooting issues can be easily solved. The common cases and their respective solutions are listed in the table below. If the problem persists, please contact the Technical support.
Problem Possible Reason Solution
No video, no audio.
In DVB-T mode, the number of DVB-T channels is not as much as expected.
In DVB-T mode, all of the channels show “no signal or random mosaic tiles appear on the display.”
There is no sound output.
The battery is totally discharged.
The power adapter is not plugged properly.
The device is not powered on.
The program table is empty.
The number of available channels is limited due to the local broadcasting system. The available channels can vary depending on the area.
The signal quality of some TV channels is too low.
Some TV channels are not available.
Some TV channels signal quality is too low.
No DVB-T service is provided in the area.
The audio volume is too low. Press [VOL+] button to raise the volume. The earphones are not connected properly. The device is located close to strong magnetic field.
Change the battery
Check whether the connector of the power adapter is completely plugged into the power jack of the device.
Slide [POWER SWITCH] to “ON” position.
Perform “Auto Search” to discover the available channels.
Perform “Auto Search” to rescan all the channels.
Use the external antenna to increase the reception sensitivity. For indoor use, place the antenna close to a window and place it on high point. Only the locally free broadcasted channels can be viewed. They can differ depending on the area. Use the external antenna to increase the reception sensitivity. For indoor use, place the antenna close to a window and place it on high point. Check your country DVB-T coverage map. It is not possible to watch digital TV/listen to digital radio in non-covered areas.
Check if the earphone plug is clean and well inserted. Move the device to another location and use it again.
