With its striking lines, muscular shoulder and
tapered roof, Range Rover Evoque sets itself
apart from its contemporaries.

Whether discovering hidden parts of town
or being seen in all the right places, it’s
always ready for action. Striking the perfect
balance between distinctive exterior design,
a contoured cabin, capability and performance,
the vehicle defines contemporary city life.

Adaptive full LED headlamps complement
the vehicle’s design cues by combining a
distinctive look with enhanced light output
for better visibility at night. The headlamps
adaptive function enables light beams to be
automatically aligned with steering inputs and
follow curves in the road*.

The Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) have
a new shape creating a distinctive signature
which also serves as the directional indicator
where it flashes amber.

INTERIOR

A range of individual features provide added
appeal to the clean, architectural shapes of the
vehicle’s interior. The all-new seats incorporate
the latest technologies such as climate control
options in the front seats to ensure a truly
relaxed and comfortable ride. Details include
the use of premium materials such as Oxford
leather and twin-needle stitching.

The cabin is also complemented by new-look
door insert finishings which are enhanced
further by deeply padded premium materials.

For the ultimate in comfort, optional front
massage seats* allow both the driver and front
passenger to select individual programs via
the Touch-screen**. Varying in intensity, there
are five settings to choose from; each one
delivers a soothing massage to improve both
passenger and driver's comfort.

The infotainment center in Range Rover
Evoque allows music to be heard and felt the
way it should. Bright trebles. Deep bass notes.
Rich tones that let every instrument sing.
These are the characteristics of the Meridian™
Sound System. Added to which, the vehicle’s
eight-inch Touch-screen has 800 x 480 pixel
resolution, Bluetooth

®

streaming and

phone connectivity.**

Finally, Configurable Mood Lighting is also
controlled via the Touch-screen. With a range
of ten colors on offer, the brightness can be
dialled up or down to suit every occasion.
A ‘Stealth’ setting is also available to reduce
cabin illumination to a minimum.

TERRAIN RESPONSE

Land Rover has always been synonymous
with capability and Range Rover Evoque
lives up to even the most demanding
expectations. Confident and responsive,
the drive is further enhanced by a generous
wheel articulation and innovative off-road
technologies such as Terrain Response

This feature adapts to the responses of the
vehicle’s engine, gearbox, differentials and
chassis systems to maximize driveability,
comfort and traction.

There are four Terrain Response
General Driving, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud &
Ruts and Sand. A fifth setting, Dynamic Mode
is available on vehicles specified with Adaptive
Dynamics*. This mode tunes the suspension
to deliver even tighter body control with flatter
handling and sharper responses.

HILL DESCENT
CONTROL (HDC®)

Land Rover’s patented Hill Descent Control

®

(HDC
of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed
and applying braking separately to each wheel.*

Hill Start Assist is designed to prevent the
vehicle from rolling backwards as it pulls away
on an incline*. The vehicle also utilizes Gradient
Release Control (GRC) which is designed to
prevent the vehicle accelerating too quickly on a
steep incline when the driver releases the brake*.

ACTIVE
DRIVELINE

The Active Driveline delivers benefits in
both on and off-road situations. In many
on-road driving conditions, the system is
able to disconnect drive to the rear of the
vehicle, providing maximum two-wheel drive
fuel economy. The sophisticated software
continuously monitors key vehicle and
environmental parameters. If the requirements
for four-wheel drive are met, the system
seamlessly and imperceptibly reconnects
that drive within 300 milliseconds.

When cornering, the vehicle’s agility and
stability are enhanced by the Torque
Vectoring by Braking system. Monitoring
the vehicle, the system is designed to
constantly balance the distribution of torque
between all the wheels to improve grip
and steering whether on or off-road.*

ADAPTIVE
DYNAMICS

Adaptive Dynamics* with advanced
MagneRide™ is designed to monitor

vehicle movements at least 1.000 times per
second, reacting to driver or road inputs
instantaneously to give greater control and
minimize body roll, providing a balanced,
flat ride.

The system will also sense off-road conditions
and optimize the advanced MagneRide™
damper settings accordingly. Whether driving
in town or on country roads and tracks, there's
a sense of greater control.

MERIDIAN™ SOUND SYSTEM

Land Rover has partnered with Meridian, a
world leader in audio technologies and digital
sound processing, to develop advanced
audio systems for Range Rover Evoque.

The 380W Meridian Sound System features
12 channels and 11 loudspeakers including
a dual-channel subwoofer. The Meridian
Surround Sound System is also available
and produces an incredible 825W of
surround sound through 15 channels and
17 loudspeakers including a subwoofer.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP) allows a
speaker to perform with the characteristics
of a speaker of eight times the volume.

The result is the very best in world-class audio
reproduction with sound that can be felt and
heard, just as the artist intended.

Also pioneered by Meridian is Trifield™
technology which ensures a perfect stereo
image for each occupant, producing an
holistic sound within the cabin to further
improve the concert-like experience.

A special feature, Dynamic Volume, detects
variations in the cabin and balances out
the sound quality so that it's consistent
throughout the car.

COMMAND DRIVING POSITION

The signature Land Rover Command Driving Position* ensures the driver benefits from a greater
view of the road ahead. However, in Range Rover Evoque, it has a sportier feel allowing the
driver to be more connected to the drive. So whatever the city or terrain demands, it can be
tackled with confidence.

HEAD UP DISPLAY*

Head Up Display is a technology option that presents key vehicle data such as road speed,
gear position and navigation directions on the windshield, without distraction or the need for
the driver to take their eyes off the road. The Land Rover system features laser holographic
techniques, resulting in superior color saturation, brightness and contrast.

This innovative laser system is more robust against issues such as ‘washout’ – the effect that
the glare from sunlight has on LED-based systems.

SEATING

For the ultimate comfort whatever the
temperature, climate front seats are available.
This option provides both heated and cooled
ventilation through perforations in the Oxford
leather seats. The driver and passenger
preferences can be independently controlled
via the Touch-screen. Heated rear seats
are also available where the outer seats
are heated.

Optional front massage seats* allow both
the driver and front passenger to select
individual programs via the Touch-screen.
Varying in intensity, there are five settings to
choose from; each one delivers a soothing
massage to improve both the passenger
and driver's comfort.

CONFIGURABLE MOOD
LIGHTING

Mood Lighting adds to the calm,
contemporary atmosphere. No matter what
the light is outside, it’s always comfortable
inside.

Configurable Mood Lighting is also available,
again controlled via the vehicle's Touch­screen, with a range of ten configurable
colors available. The brightness of the
ambient lighting is also configurable, and a
‘Stealth’ setting is available to reduce cabin
illumination to minimum. Create the mood.

PANORAMIC ROOF

The optional full-size, fixed panoramic glass
sunroof** enhances the sense of space and
light, as well as providing uninterrupted
views of the surrounding environment.

Importantly, the toughened glass has
a dark tint to maintain a comfortable
temperature inside the cabin and protect
occupants and the interior from the sun’s
rays. A full-sized, powered interior blind
is also provided for those who may prefer
a more private experience.

the ability to play high quality DVD Video
and route it through two eight-inch screens
located in the back of the front headrests.
The system can also play MP4 Video Files
stored on a USB Device plugged into a

The Rear Seat Entertainment system comes
with a remote control, which allows intuitive
operation. Two wireless digital headphones
featuring WhiteFire™ technology provide
high quality sound and clarity to pasengers.

USB CHARGING POINTS

Connectivity is state-of-the-art with Bluetooth®
streaming as well as USB/iPod
for hands-free phone operation and a choice
of listening while on the move.

An additional, dedicated USB socket allows
the connection of compatible phones via a
standard USB Cable (not supplied). This will
allow the user to operate compatible apps via
the Touch-screen.**

POWERED GESTURE TAILGATE

Opening and closing is further enhanced with
the option of a hands-free powered tailgate.
This will allow the driver to operate the
tailgate (both to open and close) from outside
the vehicle without needing to physically
touch either the vehicle or the remote key fob.

Provided that the key fob is detected, the
tailgate may be operated by waving a foot
underneath the rear of the vehicle.

Additionally, two sensors mounted on either
side of the tailgate allow curbside operation,
rather than needing to be immediately behind
the vehicle.

The Touch-screen is the command center for a wealth of features designed to make your driving
experience more entertaining. It features a contemporary and fresh graphical design displayed
on an eight-inch screen*.

It is the central hub from where you can connect and control your chosen entertainment and

InControl Protect™ enables you to monitor
your vehicle wherever you are. InControl
Protect™ gives you peace of mind through
SOS Emergency call and Optimized
Land Rover Assistance. In the event of an
emergency, the SOS Emergency call notifies
the emergency services of the location of
your vehicle.

INCONTROL REMOTE™

InControl Remote™ is an app available on
Android™ and iPhone
interact with your vehicle remotely. InControl
Remote not only provides basic information
with the use of a remote it also enables you
to communicate with your vehicle. You are
able to lock/unlock your vehicle, remotely
start, cool/heat your vehicle to the desired
temperature prior to your journey and set
a ‘beep and flash’ in order to locate your
vehicle in a crowded parking lot.**

The InControl Remote App ensures you are
fully prepared for your journey by displaying
the fuel level and location of your vehicle.
The Remote App also gives you vital
information on fluid levels and whether your
vehicle is locked or any doors or windows are
open. You are also able to download your
journeys to assist in reviewing mileage.

NINE-SPEED AUTOMATIC

The lightweight, compact nine-speed
automatic transmission provides optimum
fuel economy and CO
as greater control in low-grip conditions or
when towing through the specially designed,
ultra-low first gear.

The nine-speed automatic transmission
is specifically designed for transverse
applications, and is one of the most efficient
and technically advanced transmissions
ever used in a production vehicle. Smaller
ratio steps give improved response during
acceleration, improved shift quality, drive
and refinement.

The 2.0 Liter Turbocharged I-4 engine is
a lightweight all-aluminum 2.0 liter engine

BODY

Range Rover Evoque features an extremely
strong, lightweight body structure which has
been developed using advanced, weight­saving materials to deliver outstanding
stiffness and refinement together with
excellent crash performance.

The structure is based on a steel monocoque
platform. Delivering the exciting design and
sporting dynamics of Range Rover Evoque
dictated that an all-new structure was
developed. Lightweight technologies
are used extensively in the body design,
including:

– Front fenders and tailgate assembly

– Magnesium cross car beam

– Optimized steel structure with 18 percent

high strength Boron steels.

OPTIMIZED STRUCTURE

The use of special ultra-high-strength steels
in strategic load-bearing areas was a key
design objective. The finished steel structure
uses 18 percent (by weight) of high strength
Boron steels. These specialized steels deliver
increased strength in critical areas, without
the need to increase the thickness and weight
of the pressings.

The ultra-high-strength Boron steel has been
used in key parts of the crash safety cell,
including the A and B-pillars and the sills.
The resulting structure protects occupants
using an incredibly strong and stable safety
cell, and provides a very stiff platform for
superior NVH and vehicle dynamics.

The use of ultra-high-strength Boron steel
in the A-pillar was critical in retaining the
slim, raked pillar of the vehicle, without
compromizing the strength and safety of
the structure.

The optimized steel structure protects
occupants using an incredibly strong and
stable safety cell, which is complemented
by a comprehensive system of airbags and
restraints including driver and passenger
airbags, knee airbags, and side curtain and
thorax airbags.*

The crash structure was optimized using
state-of-the-art computer simulation tools,
which allowed engineers to conduct ‘virtual’
crash tests long before physical prototypes
were available.

CHASSIS AND VEHICLE
DYNAMICS

Range Rover Evoque has a chassis which has
been specially developed by Land Rover's
engineers to deliver on-road dynamics
which combine sporting and agile responses
with impressive refinement, while not
compromizing all-terrain capability.

Range Rover Evoque has fully independent
suspension, with coil sprung struts front and
rear, and isolated front and rear subframes,
mounted to an exceptionally stiff steel
monocoque bodyshell. The performance of
the base suspension system is supplemented
by advanced technologies such as an
intelligent four-wheel drive system.

The chassis features a number of innovations,
such as Electric Power Assisted Steering
(EPAS)**, which help the car achieve its
unique dynamic character and
improved efficiency.

Designed to see what might be missed,
these optional systems have discrete sensors
hidden in the side and the rear bumpers.
When a vehicle enters a blind spot on either
side of the vehicle, Blind Spot Monitoring
is designed to alert the driver via an icon
displayed in the appropriate door mirror.
If a vehicle approaches at speed from behind
when changing lanes, the Closing Vehicle
Sensing function is designed to alert the

of the rear view mirror monitors the lane
markings on both sides of the vehicle is
designed to give driver a warning when

appropriate action.

AUTONOMOUS EMERGENCY
BRAKING

Autonomous Emergency Braking helps
further enhance the driver assist aspects of
the vehicle. Using a forward-facing digital
camera, the system is designed to detect
static vehicles or vehicles traveling ahead in
the same direction and automatically reduces
impact speed if it calculates that a collision
is likely. The driver is alerted of the risk by
a visual and audible warning signal.

TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION

Working in conjunction with the Navigation
System, this optional feature scans the road
ahead for certain traffic signs and displays
them in the Message Center in the instrument
pack. The following signs are detected: speed
limit signs, no-overtaking signs, variable
overhead speed signs and traffic signs with
extra information – such as reduced speeds
for wet roads.

The system can be configured to provide
speed alert warnings when the vehicle is
travelling at or above the current speed limit,
as well as warning of no-overtaking zones.

Optional Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a
radar based cruise control system that helps
maintain a pre-set gap from the vehicle in
front, even if it changes speed. Discretely
mounted behind the front grille, it detects
and monitors the vehicle’s front and sets
the most appropriate speed.

Queue Assist adds to ACC functionality
by assisting the driver to stop the vehicle
when it reaches a traffic queue. Intelligent
Emergency Braking uses radar to detect
vehicles travelling in the same direction
and is designed to automatically reduce
impact speed if it calculates that a frontal
collision is unavoidable.

SURROUND CAMERA SYSTEM

Using five digital cameras mounted around
the vehicle, this optional system provides
an all-round view of your surroundings on
the full-color Touch-screen, assisting in tight
maneuvering. When towing, it provides

range of advanced lightweight materials,

Range Rover ever. There are key weight­saving materials throughout the vehicle,
