To fill the kettle, remove it from the power base and open the lid by pulling up.

Note: Do not fill above the MAX mark as boiling water may splash out from the kettle.

Ensure the lid is closed and locked firmly into place before placing the kettle on the power base.

Position the kettle on the power base. Plug the cord into a 230 / 240 volt power outlet and then switch the power on. Flick the ON/OFF switch upwards. The power ‘ON’ light will illuminate.

Once the water has boiled the kettle will automatically switch “OFF”. Lift the kettle from the power base and pour the water.

Note:This kettle must only be used with the power base supplied. Use caution when pouring water from your kettle as boiling water will scald.

Take care to hold the kettle level, especially when filled to the maximum level.

To re-boilit may be necessary to wait for a few seconds to allow the control to reset.

Mineral deposits and discolouration

Due to the large surface area of the concealed element interior base, discolouration due to mineral deposits will appear more obvious. The mineral deposits can leave a brown rust stain on the base.THIS IS NOT RUST.

Alternatively: Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder (up to 2/3 of maximum) with water, boil and allow to stand overnight.

Empty the solution from the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring to the boil and discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will be ready for use.
