This manual has been prepared for the owner and operators of a JET EHPT series Electric High Lift
Pallet Truck. Its purpose, aside f rom truck operat ion, is to prom ote safety thr ough the use of accepted
correct operating and maintenance procedures. Completely read the safety and maintenance
instructi ons before operati ng or servi cing the t ruck. To obtai n maximum life and ef fici ency from your
pallet truck, and to aid in using the truck safely, read this manual thoroughly and follow instructions
caref ully.

consumer/purc haser of our products that each product be free from defects in materials and

To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be ret ur ned for examination, postage
prepaid, to an Authorized Repair Station designated by our office. Proof of pur c hase date and an
explanat ion of t he c omplaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection di scloses a defect,
WM H Tool Group will either repair or replace the product, or r efund the purchase pri c e if we cannot
readily and quickly pr ovide a r epair or replacement, if you are willing to accept a refund. WMH Tool
Group will return repaired product or replacement at our expense, but if it is determ ined there is no
defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then the user must
bear the cost of st or ing and returning the product. Thi s warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may
also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of a JE T Electric High Li ft Pal let Truck .
This electric high lif t pallet truck is designed to r educ e lifting injuries and increase produc tivity by lifting,
lowering, and t r ansport ing open pallet s and ski ds onl y with ease. It does not work with closed pallets
unless the pallet is placed on top of fork s. A n optional steel platform converts the electric high lift pallet
truck to a mobile workstat ion.
Notable features incl ude a Fenner/Haldex Barnes mini-hydraulic pump system with built- in automatic
overload protection. Power is provided by AC Delco maintenance-free 12V battery with 585 cold
cranking amps. The heavy-duty welded steel fram e features a powder coat finish to inhibit r ust. With
regular maintenance, y our electric high lift pallet truck will provide years of dependable service.

Assembly & Adjustment
(refer to exploded views)
1. Remove packing material carefully and
inspect f or any damage duri ng shi pment.
2. Insert handle (102) into the socket of
cylinder (160); l ock it with pin ( 108) and two
screws (109). Swing the handle up and
down to see if it moves freely. Attach
tension spring (105).
3. Open electrical control case by removing
thumb screws (256) and cov er (255). Insert
up/down switch wire and plug ( 184) hanging
down from handl e (102) i nto socket ( 221) in
the case. Insert t wo 5 Amp f uses (277) into
two sockets F1/F2.
4. Check the elect rical devi ce and elements in
the case to make sure none are loose or
damaged. Tighten any elements if loose.
5. Check high pressure oil pipe (282) in the
hydraulic system to confirm i t is not loose.
Tighten i f l oose. Open cov er (217) to check
hydraulic level.
6. Push “Up” button (197) on top of handle
(102) inter mitt ently to l if t the for k. Push and
hold the “ Up” button to li ft the f orks to their
highest position. Then push and hold the
“Down” button (197) to lower the forks to
their l owest posi tion. Repeat this procedure
3 to 4 tim es with full up and down travel t o
release any possible air in the hydraulic
system and to confirm all components are
functioning correc tly.
7. Close cov er (255).
Safety Precautions
1. Read and understand owner's manual
before operat ion.
2. Do not exceed rated capacity .
3. Before using pallet truck, lift and lower the
forks sev eral times with no l oad to release
any air that m ay be trapped i n the hydraul ic
system.
4. Never allow anyone to ride on the pallet
truck.
5. Operate on smooth, level finished floors
only. Automatic brake system will not
engage properly if forks are raised on
uneven floor. Do not use on slope.
6. Always keep hands and feet clear from all
moving parts including forks, legs, piston
rod (406) and mid-cylinder (413).
7. Always secure load equally on the forks
nearest the bulkhead before lifting or
lowering. Do not lif t load with fork tip only.
8. Automat ic ov erload safet y val ve will open i f
pallet t ruck is overloaded. If overl oaded, do
not push the "Up" button as this will reduce
the life of the pump station.
9. When transporting loads, always keep
people cl ear from pallet t ruck and transport
in the lowered position only.
WARNING
Failure t o comply w ith all o f t hese safety
precautions may result i n loss of l oad,
damage to pallet truck, personal injury
and/or property damage.
Operation
The pallet truck is designed for use with open
style pallets or skids only. Closed style pallets
must be placed on top of forks prior to use.
The handle is designed to pull and steer the
pallet truck only. Do not use the handle as a
leverage tool.
WARNING
Do not attempt to move pallet truck with
forks in rai sed position. Lower forks
completely before moving pallet truck.
To raise forks, press the “Up” button in the
center of the handle, hol d until desired height is
achieved, then release. The automatic brake
system featuring two axles (7) will engage the
floor to prev ent movement.
To lower forks, press the “Down” button, hold
until desired height is achieved, then release.
The forks can be stopped at any position and
will hold firmly in place.
The pump assembl y f eat ures an ov erl oad safety
valve. When the pallet truck lifts beyond its
maxi mum capacity, only the mi d-cylinder (413)
will ex tend out full y; the pi ston rod (406) cannot
extend.
If pallet truck is overloaded, the mid-cylinder
(413) only will rise. The pison rod (406) will not.
Avoi d pushi ng the "Up" butt on when over loaded
to prevent any damage to the pump station.
