Theceilinghoistcanbeusedtotransferandposition completelyorpartiallyimmobilepatientsinthe recommendedtracksystem.Allpositionchangesare possiblewithoutassistanceofthepatient.Theceilinghoist isonlyintendedtoliftpatientsuptothemaximumweight limitstatedintheusermanual.
Therearenoknowncontraindicationsforthisproduct. Usingthehoistforpurposesotherthantransferofpeopleis notadvised.

4.3Installingtheceilinghoist

Theceilinghoisthastobemountedtoarailsystemforuse. Therailsystemhastobeinstalledandapprovedaccording toEN10535byaspecializeddealerorspecializedservice technician.
InstallingRobin®
TheRobin®requiresatrolley,holdingtheceilinghoistin therailsystem.Thetrolleyhastobepre-installedbya specializeddealerorservicetechnician.
CAUTION!
–Theceilinghoistisnotintendedtobe
usedtogetherwithMEDICALELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.

1.LocatethehoisttrolleyattheØ32mmroundrecess intherail.
2.Liftthehoistandpushthesuspensionpinthroughthe trolleyopening.
3.Turnthehoistby90degreestoxitinthetrolley.
4.Adjustthelengthoftheemergencystop/loweringcord towithintheuser’sreach.
InstallingRobin®Mover
Robin®Moverisaceilinghoistwiththetrolleyalready attached.Thetrolleycanthereforenotbepre-installedin therailsystem.
Theceilinghoisthastobeinstalledbyaspecializeddealer orservicetechnician.

1.SlideandholdlockingleverAawayfromtheaperture C.
Agateintheaperturewillopen.
2.MakesuretheplugBisinthecorrectorientationwith theslotupwards(seeimage).Insertplugintoaperture.
3.Releaselever ,sothatthegateclosesandholdtheplug intheaperture.
Removingthehandcontrolplug
1.SlideandholdlockingleverAawayfromtheaperture C.
2.PulltheplugBoutoftheaperture.

5Usage

5.1Generaloperatinginformation

CAUTION!
Iftheliftingstrapsareguidedincorrectlyinthe hoist(e.g.thestrapsbecometwisted),theceiling hoistwillautomaticallyturnoff.
–Keepthestrapsstraighttoensuretheyfeed
intothehoistcorrectly.Thestrapsareheld taughtbytheweightofthehooks.
–Keepthestrapsfreelysuspendedwhenthe
unloadedhoistislifting/lowering.
Ifauserunintentionallytrapsthehand intheliftingstrapduringlifting,thehoist willautomaticallyturnoff.Thehoiststops immediatelywhenahandgetsincontactwith thestrapinlet.
–Keepyourhandsawayfromthestrapinlet
duringlifting.
CAUTION!
Thehandcontrolisprotectedagainstsplashed water(IPX4).Extendedcontactwithwaterwill damagethehandcontrol.
–Donotimmersethehandcontrolinliquids,
evenforashorttime.
–Avoidanycontactwithwaterorotherliquids.

5.2Operatingtheceilinghoist

Theceilinghoistisinoperationmodeassoonasabutton onthehandcontrolispressed.
Liftingandloweringthestraps
Whentheceilinghoistisnotloaded,itwilllift/lower athighspeed.Whenloadedwithmorethan10kg, thelifting/loweringspeedisautomaticallyreduced toasafelevel.
1.Toliftthestraps,presstheUPbuttonAonthehand control.
2.Tolowerthestraps,presstheDOWNbuttonBonthe handcontrol.
Theceilinghoistcanalsobeoperatedbypressingthe UPandDOWNbuttonsontheundersideofthehoist.

Hoistisnotloaded:Usethetwoliftingstrapsto pullthehoistalongthetrack.
DONOTusetheredemergencystraptotraverse theceilinghoist.

5.4ChargingtheBattery

Ifthechargestatusbecomeslow ,anaudibleindicator soundsandtheindicatorlamponthebottomoftheceiling hoistashes(seealso5.3Indicatorlightandaudiosignal, page15).Whenthishappens,thereisusuallysufcient powertolowerthepatient.
Itisnotpossibletousethehoistwhilethebattery ischarging.
1.Finishthecurrentliftinprogress Ifthecurrentliftinprocessdischargesthebattery completely,anexternalbackupbatterymaybeusedto temporarilypowerthelift.See5.5Usingtheexternal back-upbattery,page16.
2.Movetheceilinghoisttothechargingstation.
3.Assurethatthehandcontrolandchargingstationare cleananddrybeforecharging
4.Placethehandcontrolintothechargingstation. Ayellowindicatorlamponthechargerindicates thehandcontrolisconnected.Theindicatorlamp illuminatesredwhilecharging.
5.Whenfullycharged,theindicatorlamponthecharger turnsgreen. Aslongastheceilinghoistisnotinuse,leavethehand controlinthechargingstation.
6.Tousetheceilinghoist,removethehandcontrolfrom thecharger .
Keepingthebatterieschargedguaranteeshoist functionalityandmaintainsthebatterytoensure alonglifetime.
