Textiles,oilorpetroleumsubstances,grease, greasysubstancesandothercombustiblesare easilyignitedandburnwithgreatintensityin oxygenenrichedairandwhenincontactwith oxygenunderpressure.Toavoidre,death, injuryordamage:
–DONOTallowoilfromyourhandsorother
sourcestocomeintocontactwiththe compressorcouplingorcylinderttings.These substancesmaybecomeammableinthe presenceofoxygenandcauseinjury.Avoid touchingthecylinderttingwheneverpossible. Exampleofitemstoavoidarehandcreamsor lotions,cookingoils,suntanoilsorsunblocks andsimilaroilyproducts.Ifyouusethese typesofproductsInvacaresuggestsyouwash yourhandspriortousingtheHomeFillunit. Ifthecylinderttingshouldcomeincontact withsuchsubstancesitshouldbecleanedoff withadampclothpriortoconnectingittothe compressor .
–NEVERoilorlubricatethecompressorcoupler
orcylinderttings.NEVERuseanypenetrating oilorlubricantsuchasWD-40®or3-in-1 Oil®.Ifconnectiondifcultyisexperienced verifythatthecylinderttingisbeinginserted straightdownintothecompressorcoupler.If continueddifcultyisexperiencedcontactyour supplierforassistance.

Invacarerecommendsleavingafullcylinderof oxygenwiththepatientaftersettinguptheHomeFill compressor .
BeforeleavingaHomeFillCompressorwithauser ,the followingchecklistMUSTbecompleted:
qMakesurethepressuretestoncylinderhasnotexpired. qInstructtheuseronthesafeoperationofthe
concentratorandreviewallwarnings.
qInstructtheuseronthesafeoperationoftheHomeFill
compressorandreviewallwarnings.
qLeaveafullcylinderofoxygenwiththeuser. qLeaveacopyofallwarningsandllinginstructionswith
theuser.
2.4Double-InsulatedProducts
