1.3Intendeduse

Thismobilitydevicewasdesignedforpersonswhoseability towalkisimpaired,butwhoarestillintermsoftheir eyesightandphysicallyandmentallyabletooperatean electricmobilitydevice.
General

1.4Indications

Theuseofthispowerwheelchairisrecommendedforthe followingindications:
Theinabilityoragreatlyrestrictedabilitytowalkwithin thescopeofthebasicrequirementtobeabletomove withinone’ sownfourwalls.
Theneedtoleavethedwellingplaceinordertoget somefreshairduringashortwalkortoreachthose placesgenerallytobefoundatclosedistancetothe dwellingandwhereeverydaybusinessiscarriedout.
Provisionofpowerwheelchairsforinteriorandexterior areasisadvisableiftheuseofhand-operatedwheelchairsis nolongerpossibleonaccountofthedisability ,yetproper operationofanelectromotivedriveunitisstillpracticable.
Contraindications
Therearenocontraindicationsknown.
1.5Typeclassication
Themobilitydevicewithamaximumspeedof3km/hhas beenclassiedaccordingtoEN12184asaclassAmobility product(forindoorareasonly).Thismeansitisacompact, maneuverablevehiclemainlyforinternaluseandnot necessarilycapableofnegotiatingoutdoorobstacles.
TheClassAproductcanbeidentiedbya3km/hlabel ontheremote.

Themobilitydevicewithamaximumspeedhigherthan3 km/hhasbeenclassiedaccordingtoEN12184asaclass Bmobilityproduct(forindoorandoutdoorareas).Itis thereforecompactandagileenoughforindoorareas,but alsoabletoovercomemanyobstaclesinoutdoorareas.

1.6Regulations

ThevehiclewassuccessfullytestedaccordingtoGerman andinternationalstandardsastoitssafety.Itsatises therequirementsaccordingtoRoHS2011/65/EU,REACH 1907/2006/ECandDINEN12184includingEN1021-2and ISO7176–14.Itwasalsotestedsuccessfullyaccordingto EN60529IPX4astoitsresistancetospraywater,andis thereforewellsuitedforweatherconditionssuchastypical Europeanweatherconditions.Whenequippedwithan appropriatelightingsystem,thevehicleissuitableforuse onpublicroads.

1.7Usability

Onlyuseamobilitydevicewhenitisinperfectworking order .Otherwise,youmightputyourselfandothersatrisk.
Thefollowinglistdoesnotclaimtobeexhaustive.Itisonly intendedtoshowsomeofthesituationsthatcouldaffect theusabilityofyourmobilitydevice.

removethepowersource.Dependingonthe mobilitydevicemodel,youcaneitherremove thebatterypacksordisconnectthebatteries fromthepowermodule.Ifindoubtwhich cabletodisconnect,contactyourprovider .
–Inanycase,contactyourprovider.

2.3Safetyinformationonelectromagnetic interference

Thiselectricvehiclewassuccessfullytestedinaccordance withInternationalstandardsastoitscompliancewith ElectromagneticInterference(EMI)regulations.However , electromagneticelds,suchasthosegeneratedbyradioand televisiontransmitters,andcellularphonescaninuencethe functionsofelectricvehicles.Also,theelectronicsusedin ourvehiclescangeneratealowlevelofelectromagnetic interference,whichhoweverwillremainwithinthetolerance permittedbylaw.Forthesereasonsweaskyoutoplease observethefollowingprecautions:
