1.3Servicelife
Theexpectedservicelifeofthisproductissevenyearswhenused dailyandinaccordancewiththesafetyinstructions,maintenance intervalsandcorrectuse,statedinthismanual.Theeffectiveservice lifecanvaryaccordingtofrequencyandintensityofuse.
1.4Warranty
Thewarrantycoversallmaterialandproductiondefectsfortwo yearsfromthedateofdelivery,provideditcanbedemonstratedthat suchdefectswerepresentbeforedelivery.Allmanufacturingfaultsor defectsmustbepromptlyreported.
Invacare®mayrepairthefaultorreplacethecomponent.The warrantyprovidedbyInvacare®doesnotcoveradditionalcosts (transport,packaging,labour,sundryexpenses,etc.areforthe customer’saccount).
Thewarrantydoesnotcover:
Damagecausedduringtransportthatisnotdirectlyreportedto

There’sariskofentrapment/suffocationbetween mattresssupport,siderailandbedendorbetween movingpartsandobjectsplacednearbythebed.
–Thebedmustnotbeusedbypersonsunder12years
ofage,orbypersonswithabodysizeequivalenttoan average12yearsoldorsmaller.
–Thebed,incombinationwithsiderailsmustnotbe
usedforpersonsunder45kgorunder150cmheight.
Thehandcontrolmustnotbeusedbychildren.Duetomattresscompression,anincreasedriskmay
occurovertime.Periodicallymonitorgapsbetween thebed,mattressand/orsiderail.Replacemattressif thegapsmayleadtoentrapment.
–Makesurethatthereisnothingunder,over,ornear
thebedthatcanlimitthemovementofthebedor themattresssupport;suchasothermedicaldevices (lifters),furniture,windowframesandstorageboxes.

Electromagneticinterferencebetweenthebedandother electricalproductscanoccur.
–Toreduceoreliminatesuchelectromagnetic
interference,increasethedistancebetweenthebed andtheproductsorswitchthemoff.
Thismedicalbedcanbeusedtogetherwith medicalelectricalequipmentconnectedtotheheart (intracardially)orbloodvessels(intravascularly)provided thatfollowingpointsarerespected:
–Thebedshouldbeequippedwithmeansforpotential
equalizationconnectionmarkedoutbyasymbol showninthebackofthismanual.
–Medicalelectricalequipmentshouldnotbefixedon
thebed’smetallicaccessoriessuchassiderails,lifting pole,driprod,bedends,etc.
–Themedicalelectricalequipmentpowersupplycord
shouldbekeptclearoftheaccessoriesoranyother movingpartsofthebed.
WARNING! Riskofslippingthroughtheopenings
Thebedfulfilsallrequirementsregardingmaximum distances.However,itispossiblethatpersonswithsmall bodydimensionsslipthroughtheopeningsbetweenthe siderailsorthroughtheopeningbetweenthesiderail andthemattresssupport.
–Payspecialattention,ifthebedisusedforthecareof
personswithsmallbodydimensions.
CAUTION!
–Alwayslowerthebedtothelowestpositionbefore
leavingtheuserinthebedunattended.
–Whenenteringorexitingthebed,theheight
adjustmentshouldbeused.Furthermore,thebackrest canbeusedassupport.However,thethigh-andleg sectionmustbehorizontal,otherwise,thereisriskof overloadingofthemattresssupport.

1.Placethetwoinsertsintheupperhalfofthemattresssupport. Theinsertsmustbemountedinsuchawaythatoneextends furtheroutofthesidetubethantheother.
2.Looselyscrewinthetwothumbscrews.
3.Pushthelowerhalfofthemattresssupportontothetwoinserts.
4.Tightenwithtwothumbscrews.
5.Retightenthetwothumbscrewsattheheadendofthetopframe.
6.Turnupthefourmattresssupportbrackets.
7.Turnthehandleofthelegsectionup.
8.PressthebracketAonthelockingring*andturnthelocking ringonthebedendstotheposition"open".

2.Theplugofthethighmotormustbedirectedthroughthe openingofthesupporterforthebackrestmotorandthen connectedtothecontrolbox.
3.Connectthemaincableplugtothepowersocket.
4.Runthemotorsofthebedendstotheirtopposition.
5.Placethemotorcableofthefootendonthehookatthefootend.
6.Runthebackresttoitstopposition.
7.Placetheheadendmotorcablesonthefourhooksatthehead end.
8.Attachthelockingcamovertheplugsinthecontrolbox.

1.Dismantlesiderailsorwoodensidepanelandliftingpole.
2.Bringthebedtoitslowestpositionandadjustallmattress supportsectionstohorizontalposition.
3.Disconnectmainpowersupply.Rollthecableontothehookof theheadendofthebed.
4.Dismantlethelockingcamfromthecontrolboxwithatool, e.g.aflatheadedscrewdriver.
5.Disconnectallcablesfromthecontrolbox.
6.Separatethemattresssupportfromthebedends.
7.Dividetheupperandlowerhalvesofthemattresssupport.
