bedrailsDONOTfallunderanyweight limitations.Bedrailscanbedeformedor brokenifexcessivesidepressureisexerted onthebedrails.Thesebedrailsareusedfor thepurposeofpreventinganindividualfrom inadvertentlyrollingoutofbed.Thebedrails arenotintendednormaybeusedforrestraint purposes.Ifanindividualiscapableofinjuring himself/herself,aphysicianorahealthcare professionalshouldbeconsultedforalternative meansofsaferestraint.
–Afterraising/loweringthehead/footendofthe
electricbed,checkthedistancebetweenthe bottomofthebedrailandthemattress.If thereisexcessivedistancebetweenthebottom ofthebedrailandthemattressinwhich individualsmaybecomeentangled,adjustthe heightofthebedrail(ifapplicable),orprovide alternativemeansofpatientprotection.
–DONOTusethesiderailsaspushhandlesfor
movingtheelectricbed.
