Instructions
PROTECT YOURSELF
Keep pull cord and alarm body easily accessible.
TO ACTIVATE SIREN
•Pull pin from alarm body.
•To stop siren, insert the pin into the alarm body.
(see Diagram A)
FLASHLIGHT
•Push the side button to activate the flashlight.
•Release the button and the light will turn off.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
1.Access the battery compartment on the rear of the unit by removing the screws and lifting off the back side of the alarm body. (see Diagram B)
2.Insert one (1) 23 A., 12 volt battery following the polarity diagram.
3.Replace back side of the alarm body and secure it with screws.
4.Test siren by removing plastic pin from alarm body. (see Diagram A)
Check battery periodically, replace if siren volume is low.
Battery Precautions
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1.Use only the size and type of battery specified.
2.Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the battery as indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
3.If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the battery to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
4.Do not try to recharge battery.
Not intended to be recharged; it can overheat and rupture.
(Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)
WARNING
The siren in this alarm is very loud. Prolonged exposure to the siren in an enclosed area may cause permanent hearing impairment or loss.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY
If within one (1) year from the date of purchase, this product fails due to a defect in material or workmanship, Intermatic Incorporated will repair or replace it, at its sole option, free of charge. This warranty is extended to the original household purchaser only and is not transferable. This warranty does not apply to: (a) damage to units caused by accident, dropping or abuse in handling, acts of God or any negligent use; (b) units which have been subject to unauthorized repair, opened, taken apart or otherwise modified; (c) units not used in accordance with instructions; (d) damages exceeding the cost of the product; (e) sealed lamps and/or lamp bulbs, LED’s an batteries; (f) the finish on any portion of the product, such as surface and/or weathering, as this is considered normal wear and tear; (g) transit damage, initial installation costs, removal costs, or reinstallation costs.

PROTÉJASE
Mantenga el cordón y la caja de la alarma fácilmente accesibles.
PARA ACTIVAR LA SIRENA
•Tire del pasador sacándolo de la caja de la alarma
•Para desconectar la sirena, inserte el pasador en la caja de la alarma. (vea el diagrama A)
LINTERNA
•Pulse el botón lateral para encender la linterna.
•Suelte el botón para apagar la luz.
REEMPLAZO DE LA PILA
1.El acceso del compartimiento de la pila está en la parte trasera de la unidad quitando los tornillos y levantando la parte trasera de la caja de la alarma. (Vea el diagrama B).
2.Inserte una (1) pila de 12 voltios según el diagrama de polaridad.
3.Vuelva a colocar la parte trasera de la caja de la alarma y sujétela con tornillos.
4.Pruebe la sirena quitando el pasador de plástico de la caja de la alarma (vea el Diagrama A).
Compruebe la pila periódicamente, reemplácela si el volumen de la sirena es bajo.
PRECAUCIOINES CON LAS PILAS
Siga estas precaucones cuando use pilas en este dispositivo:
1.Use sólo pilas del tamaño y tipo especificados.
2.Asegúrese de seguir la polaridad correcta al instalar las pilas según se indica en el compartimiento. Las pilas cambiadas de posición pueden dañar el dispositivo.
3.No mezcle diferentes tipos de pilas (por ejemplo alcalinas y carbón-zinc) o pilas viejas con pilas nuevas.
4.No trate de recargar la pila. No se debe recargar, ya que se puede recalentar y estallar. (Siga las instrucciones del fabricante de las pilas).
ADVERTENCIA
La sirena de esta alarma es de un volumen muy alto. La exposición prolongada a la sirena en una zona cerrada puede causar una pérdida de oído parcial o total.
