Tento návod na obsluhu obsahuje důležité informace a upozornění k manipulaci a provozu nástro-
jové brusky UWS320.
Návod na obsluhu je nedílnou součástí stroje a musí být u něj uchován pro případné pozdější po-
užití. Pokud stroj předáváte třetí osobě, vždy návod přiložte!
Dodržujte bezpečnostní pokyny!
Před prvním použitím si pozorně přečtěte tento návod na obsluhu.
To Vám usnadní práci se strojem a pomůže předcházet chybám a případným škodám.

5 BEZPEČNOST
5.1 Účel použití
Stroj se smí používat pouze v bezvadném technickém stavu, v souladu s účelem, pro který je ur-
čen, se zřetelem k bezpečnostním předpisům a vědomím bezpečnosti práce. Závady, které mohou
ovlivnit bezpečnost použití stroje nechte ihned odstranit!
Je obecné zakázáno, vyřazovat bezpečnostní prvky stroje z provozu!
5.2 Pracovní podmínky
Stroj je určen pro práci v následujících podmínkách:
Stroj není určen pro práci venku.
Stroj není určen pro provoz v prostředí, zatíženém elektromagnetickým polem (elektrosmog).
Stroj se nesmí používat v prostředí s plyny, párou, a pod., které mohou narušit elektrickou
kabeláž.
Stroj není určen pro provoz ve výbušném prostředí.
Stroj není určen pro provoz v prostředí, zatíženém vibracemi.
Obrábění zápalných a výbušných materiálů je zakázáno. (např čistý hliník nebo hořčík atd.).
5.3 Nedovolené použití
Provoz stroje za podmínek přesahujících rámec použití uvedený v tomto návodu není dovolen.
Provoz stroje bez příslušných ochranných prostředků není dovolen.
Není dovolena demontáž nebo deaktivace ochranných prvků.
Není dovolen provoz stroje s obrobky, které nejsou výslovně uvedeny v tomto
návodu na obsluhu.
Jakékoliv změny na konstrukci stroje nejsou dovolené.
Provoz stroje způsobem a k účelům, které 100% neodpovídají pokynům uvedeným v tomto
návodu na obsluhu, je zakázán.
Za škody a zranění způsobená jiným než ke svému účelu určenému použití stroje nenese společnost HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN jakoukoliv odpovědnost nebo záruku.

BEZPEČNOST
Pracoviště a podlahu kolem stroje udržujte v čistotě a zbavte ji případ-
ného oleje, tuku a zbytků od zpracovávaného materiálu!
Zajistěte dostatečné osvětlení pracoviště, kde se stroj nachází!
Stroj nepoužívejte venku!
Práce se strojem je při únavě, ztrátě koncentrace případně pod vlivem
léků, alkoholu nebo drog přísně zakázána!
Stoupání na stroj je zakázáno!
Hrozí těžká zranění od pádu nebo převrácení stroje!
Stroj smí být obsluhován pouze zaškoleným personálem.
Nepovolané osoby, zejména děti, a nezaškolený personál se nesmí zdržo-
vat v blízkosti běžícího stroje!
Při práci se strojem nenoste volné šperky, dlouhý oděv, kravaty. Nebez-
pečné jsou i dlouhé rozpuštěné vlasy.
Volné části oděvu apod. se mohou namotat na rotující části pily a způsobit
tak vážná zranění!
Při práci používejte vhodné ochranné prostředky
(ochranné rukavice, ochranné brýle, sluchátka atd.)!
Před údržbou nebo při seřizování odpojte stroj ze sítě! Před odpojením ze
sítě vypněte stroj hlavním vypínačem (OFF).
Pro transport nebo manipulaci se strojem nikdy nepoužívejte síťový kabel!
5.4 Všeobecné bezpečnostní pokyny
Výstražné štítky a/nebo nálepky na stroji, které jsou již nečitelné nebo chybějí, musejí být
okamžitě obnoveny!
Pro zabránění vadné funkce stroje, jeho poškození nebo škodám na zdraví dbejte VŽDY následujících pokynů:
Na stroji je pouze několik málo komponent, které vyžadují údržbu. Není nutné na
stroji cokoliv demontovat. Opravy svěřte výhradně kvalifikovanému opraváři!
Příslušenství:
Používejte pouze příslušenství doporučené společností HOLZMANN!
V případě dotazů nebo potíží se obracejte na náš zákaznický servis.

5.5 Dodatečné bezpečnostní pokyny pro UWS 320
1. Napájecí napětí nesmí převýšit o více než 10% jmenovité napětí stroje, jinak dojde k poško-
zení elektrických částí stroje.
2. Před použitím stroje zkontrolujte bezpečnostní prvky.
3. Ujistěte se, že posuv pracuje plynule a rovnoměrně, když se brusný kotouč přibližuje k ná-
stroji.
4. Pokud zjistíte, že je nástroj uvolněný nebo je vadný brusný kotouč, stroj ihned vypněte
5. Pokud stroj nepoužíváte déle než měsíc, před zapnutím zkontrolujte elktrické části stroje. Ne-
chte stroj běžet naprázdno na třetinový výkon asi půl hodiny, aby se odstranila případná vlh-
kost ve vedení. Poté můžete stroj normálně používat.
6. Pokud měníte ložiska hlavního vřetene, změřte vnitřní a vnější polohu os ložisek a vymezte
případný rozdíl. Vyměňte poté vnitřní a vnější pinoly.
5.6 Ostatní rizika
I při dodržování bezpečnostních předpisů a pokynů pro správné použití stroje hrozí další
rizika:
Nebezpečí poranění rukou/prstů při kontaktu s brusným kotoučem za provozu stroje.
Nebezpečí úrazu elektrickým proudem při dotyku částí/dílů stroje, které vedou elektrický
proud.
Nebezpečí zranění od zlomeného nebo vymrštěného brusného kotouče nebo jeho části, přede-
vším při přetížení stroje nebo vlivem chybného směru otáčení.
Poškození sluchu v případě, že obsluha nepoužila vhodnou ochranu sluchu.
Nebezpečí zranění při odrazu obrobku nebo vymrštění obrobku nebo jeho částí.
Nebezpečí poškození zraku při odletujících částech a to i při použití ochranných brýlí.
Nebezpečí vdechnutí jedovatého prachu při práci s obrobky.
Tato rizika je možné minimalizovat při dodržování všech bezpečnostních pokynů, údržby a péče o
stroj a při vhodném používání stroje zaškolenou obsluhou. Přes veškeré ochranné pomůcky a
bezpečnostní výbavu stroje jsou Vaše koncentrace na práci a technické předpoklady pro obsluhu
stroje UWS 320, tím nejdůležitějším bezpečnostním faktorem!

6 UVEDENÍ DO PROVOZU
6.1 Vybalení
Stroj opatrně vyjměte z obalu. Pokud zjistíte, že je stroj transportem poškozen, oznamte to ihned
svému prodejci.
Pokud je stroj v pořádku, zkontrolujte jeho úplnost.
Stroj postavte na rovný podklad s dostatečnou únosností.
Po kompletní montáži stroje můžete připojit kabel elektrického napájení. Poté stroj zapněte a
zkontrolujte otáčení motoru.
Zkontrolujte směr otáčení brusného kotouče.
6.2 Čištění
Aby se zabránilo korozi a znečištění, je stroj pro transport konzervován konzervačním prostředkem. Konzervaci odstraňte vhodným čistícím prostředkem. Nepoužívejte ředidla nebo abraziva,
aby nedošlo k poškození lakovaných ploch.
6.3 Umístění stroje
Plocha
Hmotnost stroje je rozprostřena na malou plochu. Podlahy většiny dílen mají pro tento stroj do-
statečnou únosnost. Pokud si nejste jistí, že je podlaha dostatečně únosná, vyztužte ji.
Bezpečná vzdálenost
Zkontrolujte, že mezi strojem a okolními předměty je dostatečná vzdálenost, abyste zajistili bezpečný provoz stroje. Počítejte s velikostí broušených nástrojů a velikostí a vzdáleností pracovního
stolu.
Osvětlení a východ
Osvětlení musí být dostatečné, aby se vyloučilo tvoření stínů, namáhajících oči.
Východ by měl být v dosahu každého stroje.

7 NASTAVENÍ STROJE
7.1 Nastavení brousící hlavy
Brousící hlava je upevněna na zvedacím sloupku. Brousící hlava se ovládá horním ručním kolem.
Otočením o jednu otáčku se hlava posune o 2mm. Pootočením o jeden dílek se hlava posune o
0,02mm.
Brusný kotouč je hřídelem připevněn k motoru. Úhel brusného kotouče se nastavuje fixační pákou
(7).
Brousící hlavu je možné nastavit uvolněním dvou čepů. Bezpečnostní kryt je možné s pomocí horního zajišťovacího šroubu otočit o 360°.
7.2 Pracovní stůl
V pracovním stole se nachází jedna 14mm široká T-drážka, do které je možné upevnit dodávané
příslušenství. Posun stolu se ovládá kolem (14).
Posuv pracovního stolu je možné omezit s pomocí dorazů na straně sloupku. Šroub jemného nastavení slouží k jemnému nastavení stolu. Ruční kolo (14) posouvá opět stůl.
7.3 Příčné saně
Příčné saně je možné posouvat vpřed a vzad o 150mm. Pootočením ručního kola ve směru hodi-
nových ručiček posune příčné saně o 3mm. Pokud se kolo pootočí o jeden dílek, dojde o posunutí
saní o 0,03mm.

8 OBSLUHA
8.1 Broušení na kulato
Upevněte vřeteno pro vrtáky
na stroj. Držák ostří se na-
chází na koncovém dorazu.
Doraz je upevněn na saních,
asi 3-5 mm níže. Pravou ru-
kou otáčejte nástrojem zub
za zubem, levou rukou pohybujte vpřed a bruste ostří.
8.2 Úhlové broušení
Přípravek pro vrtáky upevněte na stroj. Nakloňte brusný
kotouč o 3° až 5°. Natočte vřeteník o 90° až 92° doleva a
zajistěte ho. Koncový doraz se nyní nachází proti ostří.
Pravou rukou nyní ovládáte ostří a levou rukou ovládáte
pracovní stůl a brousíte ostří.
8.3 Broušení drážky
Upínací přípravek slouží pro upnutí prstových fréz. Kleštiny
slouží pro upnutí kuželových fréz. Kleština se může zasunout přímo do otvoru vřetene ve vřeteníku. Brusný kotouč
se nakloní o 3° až 10° a zajistí se.

8.4 Broušení třístranných nástrojů
8.4.1 Broušení pravé strany
Zajistěte přípravek pro krokové otáčení nástroje na stroj. Doraz se nyní nachází proti přední straně ostří. Pravou rukou ovládáte otáčení nástroje, levou ovládáte pohyb stolu a brousíte.
8.4.2 Broušení čela zubu
Pro broušení čela zubu se používá koncový doraz. Brousící
hlava se nakloní o 6° až 8° a
posune se o 83° až 88° zleva
doprava a zajistí se. Pravou
rukou ovládáte ostří, levou
pohybujete pracovním stolem
vpřed a brousíte.
Pokud chcete najednou brousit
více 3-stranných nástrojů najednou, použijte přípravek se
dvěma hroty.
8.5 Broušení z čela
8.5.1 Broušení vnějšího obrysu
Uvolněte čep a pootočte hlavní sloupek (12) o úhel 30° a zajistěte ho. Upevněte broušený nástroj
do poháněné hlavy. Zajistěte koncový doraz na pracovním stole. Na přípravek na koncovém dorazu upevněte držák ostří. Nyní pohybujte stolem zleva doprava při současném otáčení vřeteníku
a provádějte broušení.
8.5.2 Broušení ostří
Natočte brusnou hlavu na úhel od 85° do 90° a levý sloupek na úhel 60° a zajistěte je. Střed
brusného kotouče musí být 5-10mm níže než střed ostří. Nastavte ostří do vodorovné polohy.
Odměřování míří na ostří. Nasaďte oříšek na zadní stranu. Pohybujte pracovním stolem zprava
doleva a provádějte broušení

8.6 Broušení zubů
K tomu se používá přípravek pro krokové otáčení
nástroje nebo nebo dvojité
vřeteno s krokovým otáče-
ním. Vřeteno brusného
kotouče se natočí od 5° do
10° k přizpůsobení
k náklonu zubu. Horní ostří
se se potom brousí zub za
zubem.
8.7 Broušení nástrojů
Nástroj se upevní na čep vřeteníku. Natočte vřeteník doprava na úhel 60°. V nastavené vřeteník
zafixujte. Odděleně nastartujte motor brousícího
kotouče a vřeteníku, aby se brusný kotouč a
nástroj křížili proti sobě. Ručním kolem (6) pohybujte pracovním stolem a provádějte broušení.
8.8 Broušení závitníků
K tomu se používá přípravek pro vrtáky a brusný talíř. Závitník se upevní na přípravek na konci
dorazu. Pravou rukou nastavujete ostří nástroje a levou rukou ovládáte pracovní stůl a brousíte.
8.9 Broušení vrtáků
Používá se přípravek na vrtáky a ozubené kolo. Nastavte vřeteník na levou stranu a natočte ho na
úhel 55° - 60° a zajistěte ho. Nasuňte vrták do přípravku. Vrták zajistěte. Otáčejte ručním kolem
a provádějte broušení. Průměr broušeného vrtáku se může pohybovat od 5 do 20 mm.

8.10 Broušení soustružnických nožů
K tomu se používá vřeteník a držák nožů. Vřeteník se používá pro nastavení řezného úhlu nože,
poté ho zajistěte. Pohybujte pracovním stolem a nabruste podle potřeby. Upevněte nůž do držáku
a vřeteník použijte pro nastavení potřebného úhlu. Pohybujte pracovním stolem a provádějte
broušení.
8.11 Broušení kalibrů
Použijte dvojitý krokový hřídel a brusný talíř. Koncový doraz nastavte proti vnitřnímu kotouči.
Pravou rukou obsluhujete nastavení krokového hřídele a levou rukou posunujte pracovní stůl dopředu a provádějte broušení.
8.12 Broušení válcových fréz
Použijte dvojitý krokový hřídel. Koncový doraz se nyní nachází proti kotouči. Obě ruce použijte
k broušení.
8.13 Broušení kruhových nástrojů
Použijte elektrické vřeteno a krokový hřídel. Natočte sloupek zvedání na 30°. Natočte vřeteník na
75° až 80° vlevo a zajistěte ho. Zapněte vřeteník a brusný kotouč. Posunujte pracovní stůl dopředu a provádějte broušení.
8.14 Broušení hoblovacích nožů
Na pracovní desku upevněte magnetickou upínací desku, na které upnete hoblovací nože a brou-
síte je.

Správné čištění stroje zaručuje dlouhou životnost stroje a představuje předpoklad bezpečné práce
na stroji.
Po každé pracovní směně musí být stroj a všechny jeho části řádně očištěny tak, aby byly prach a
špony odsáty odsávacím zařízením a ostatní odpad a nečistoty tlakovým vzduchem.
Pravidelně kontrolujte, zda-li jsou výstražné a bezpečnostní štítky a samolepy na stroji
v bezvadném a čitelném stavu.
Před každým použitím stroje zkontrolujte bezvadný stav bezpečnostních prvků stroje.
Uskladnění stroje je možné pouze v suchém prostředí a musí být zajištěn proti vlivu počasí.

This manual contains Information and important instructions for the installation and correct use of
the universal tool grinding machine UWS 320.
This manual is part of the machine and may not be stored separately from the machine. Save it
for later reference and if you let other persons use the machine, add this instruction to the machine.
Please read and follow the safety instructions!
Before first use read this manual carefully. It eases the correct use of the machine and prevents
misunderstanding and damages of machine and the user’s health.

12 SAFETY GUIDELINES
Do not operate the machine at insufficient lighting conditions.
Do not operate the machine outdoors.
Do not operate the machine when you are tired, when your concentration is
impaired, and/ or under the influence of drugs, medication or alcohol.
Climbing onto the machine is forbidden! Heavy injuries by falling down or by
tilting of the machine are possible.
12.1 Proper usage
Holzmann Maschinen cannot be held responsible for any injuries or damages if there was performed manipulation or adjustments to the machine.
For another usage and resulting damages or injuries HOLZMANN MASCHINEN
doesn’t assume any responsibility or guarantees.
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints.
• Crystalline silica from bricks, cement, and other masonry products.
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.
Your risk from these exposures varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To
reduce your exposure to these chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those dust masks that are specially designed to filter out
microscopic particles.
12.2 Incorrect usage
Operation of the machine that doesn’t agree with this manual is forbidden!
Operation without the safety devices is not allowed.
You mustn’t remove the safety devices!
Incorrect is the usage for materials which aren’t mentioned in this manual.
Changes of the machine’s construction are forbidden.

12.3 Safety instructions
Warning labels and/or other labels on the machine must be replaced when they were removed.

The machine shall be used only by trained persons.
Non authorized persons, especially children, shall be kept away from the
work area.
Do not wear loose clothing, long hair openly or loose jewellery like necklaces
etc. when operating the machine
They might be catched by rotating parts and cause serious injuries.
Use proper safety clothing and devices when operating the machine (, safety
goggles, ear protectors, safety shoes …)! Do not wear safety gloves for operating because they decrease the working accuracy and they might be pulled
into the saw blade.
Before any maintenance you have to disconnect the panel saw from the power source. Never use the plugged cable for transporting or manipulating the
machine.
Operator must read the instruction carefully before operating the machine, and the man-
ager of safety department should assure the operator knows the requirements well.
The operation, maintenance and repair of the machine must be done by qualified person
who have been trained to have the ability to forecast the potential risks. Only safetyconscious persons who are fully aware of the risks can operate the machine.
To those people who assemble, operate, or maintain the machine must be confirmed to
have read and understood the operating instructions.
After stopping the machine, the tool will still run for a period of time due to inertia, do not
open the tool guard and touch the tool with your hand before it comes to stop running.
Do not detach or modify any part of the safety guard. The machine should be disconnect-
ed from the power supply during maintenance or repair.
WARNING! NEVER CONTACT THE CUTTERS AND OTHER DRIVING PARTS WITH
HANDS IF THEY ARE STILL MOVING
Assign special persons to operate, maintain and adjust the machine.
Operate the machine in technically perfect condition. Only the producer or qualified person
can completely repair the machine.
Stop the machine immediately if abnormal phenomena appear, check and repair the ma-
chine by specialized persons in time.
Disassembly and assembly the machine with the hoisting equipment, which is of enough
load capacity.
Observe all safety instructions and warnings attached to the machine, make sure they are
always complete and perfectly legible.
Do safety inspection before operating. Ensure the stroke limit switches, stop block and
emergency stop button safe and reliable.
Reinstall the removed guards and safety devices in place after maintaining.

Do maintenance or adjustment only after switching the machine off and disconnecting the
machine from the power source.
Always keep children away from the machine. Operating personal must be at least 18
years old.
Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties or jewelry (rings, watches, etc). Keep the
sleeves and the edges of the work uniform tight. Always be sure to wear safety goggles
and wear safety shoes during operation.
Put the long hair into a safety hat during operation no matter the operator is a man or a
woman.
It is recommended to wear suitable hearing protection equipment when necessary to re-
duce the risk of hearing loss.
Provide adequate light around the machine, and keep the perimeter around the machine
dry, clean and in good order. In addition, do not place anything near the machine; otherwise it becomes an obstacle during operation.
Do not remove the guards from their working place during operation.
Disconnect the power supply before leaving the machine.
Restart the machine only after the guards and safety devices are replaced to their position
and in their good function.
Do not place tools, work pieces, or other items, which not be in use on the machine, espe-
cially on the moving parts.
Clamp workpiece and tools completely and reliably and take off the wrench from chuck be-
fore starting the spindle running.
Stop the machine before adjusting the position of the coolant nozzles.
Do not use compressed air to remove dust and chips etc. deposited on the machine,
switchboard, control unit etc.
Both operators and the maintenance men should read the descriptions carefully on the
caution plate attached on the machine. They should observe the OPERATION MANUAL in
their work. During operation and maintenance, care should be taken so that this caution
plate is not dirtied or damaged.
Always bear in mind where the emergency stop button is so that you can operate it with-
out delay in case of an emergency.
Start the machine according to the starting procedures strictly.
Keep your hands away from the moving parts of the machine during operation.
When removing chips caught around the tooling system, avoid taking them out directly by
hand, there is cutting hazards. It is safer with proper tool when doing this. Be sure to stop
the machine when removing chips from the machine.
Prior to starting test operation, read this manual carefully so as to be familiar with this
machine.
Contact the manufacturer if for some reason the OPERATION MANUAL should become un-
readable.
When install a tool, stop the spindle and the feed in each axis.
The machine is low-maintenance. It’s not necessary to dismount any parts of the machine.
Repairs only by specialists!

7. KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE and in working order.
8. REMOVE ADJUSTING KEYS AND WRENCHES. Form habit of checking to see that keys and
adjusting wrenches are removed from tool before turning on.
9. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN. Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents.
10. DO NOT USE IN DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT. Do not use power tools in damp or wet lo-
cations, or where any flammable or noxious fumes may exist. Keep work area well lighted.
11. KEEP CHILDREN AND VISITORS AWAY. All children and visitors should be kept a safe dis-
tance from work area.
12. MAKE WORKSHOP CHILD PROOF with padlocks, master switches, or by removing starter
keys.
13. DO NOT FORCE TOOL. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was de-
signed.
14. USE RIGHT TOOL. Do not force tool or attachment to do a job for which it was not designed.
15. USE PROPER EXTENSION CORD. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. Con-
ductor size should be in accordance with the chart below. The amperage rating should be
listed on the motor or tool nameplate. An undersized cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of power and overheating. Your extension cord must also contain a ground wire
and plug pin. Always repair or replace extension cords if they become damaged.

16. WEAR PROPER APPAREL. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties, rings, bracelets, or

other jewelry which may get caught in moving parts. Non-slip footwear is recommended.
Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant lenses, they are NOT safety glasses.
18. SECURE WORK. Use clamps or a vise to hold work when practical. It’s safer than using your
hand and frees both hands to operate tool.
19. DO NOT OVERREACH. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
20. MAINTAIN TOOLS WITH CARE. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest perfor-
mance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
21. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES. Consult the owner’s manual for recommended acces-
sories. The use of improper accessories may cause risk of injury.
22. REDUCE THE RISK OF UNINTENTIONAL STARTING. On machines with magnetic contact
starting switches there is a risk of starting if the machine is bumped or jarred. Always disconnect from power source before adjusting or servicing. Make sure switch is in OFF position before reconnecting.
23. MANY WOODWORKING TOOLS CAN “KICKBACK” THE WORKPIECE toward the operator
if not handled properly. Know what conditions can create “kickback” and know how to avoid
them. Read the manual accompanying the machine thoroughly.
24. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is dam-
aged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts, mounting, and any other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part
that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced.
25. NEVER LEAVE TOOL RUNNING UNATTENDED. TURN POWER OFF. Do not leave tool until
it comes to a complete stop.
26. NEVER OPERATE A MACHINE WHEN TIRED, OR UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS
OR ALCOHOL. Full mental alertness is required at all times when running a machine.
27. NEVER ALLOW UNSUPERVISED OR UNTRAINED PERSONNEL TO OPERATE THE MA-
CHINE. Make sure any instructions you give in regards to machine operation are approved,
correct, safe, and clearly understood.
28. IF AT ANY TIME YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTIES performing the intended opera-
tion, stop using the machine! Then contact our service department or ask a qualified expert
how the operation should be performed.
29. The supply voltage should not exceed 10℅of the specified voltage of the machine otherwise
the electrical parts will be worn out.
30. The safety guards on the sand wheel should be complete and in a good way without being
disassembled or changed casually.
31. Do not touch the feeding hand wheel or electric switch casually. So as to prevent the accident.
32. When the working piece comes close to the sand wheel or the sand wheel is being revised, the
feeding should be smooth and slow enough to keep safe.

33. When the working piece is found to be loosed, or fly out, or the sand wheel is found to be
damaged, stop the machine immediately to prevent accident.
34. If the machine is not in use for more than one month in a wet season, the electrical parts
should be inspected before using. First, let the motor run idle for half an hour at the 1/3 of
the specified voltage to eliminate the moisture if necessary. And then the machine can be run
at full voltage.
35. When changing the bearings of the grinding head spindle the consumer should measure the
inner and outer axle positions of the bearing sex and adjust the length difference of inner and
outer sleeve accordingly. If the consumer cannot adjust it. Change the inner and outer sleeve
and then change the bearings.

13 ASSEMBLY
13.1 Unpacking
The Universal Tool Grinding is shipped from the manufacturer in a carefully packed carton. If you
discover the machine is damaged after you’ve signed for delivery, immediately call Customer
Service for advice.
When you are completely satisfied with the condition of your shipment, you should inventory its
parts.
When the wooden case is hung up, pay attention that the case is firm or not. The case should not
be shaken and struck when lifting up and down.
When installing the machine, the body and the base must be level, without swinging.
The wire can be connected when the machine is installed. Insert the plug in the socket of the
main power. Connect the wire to the ground, turn on the switch to start the grinding head motor
and headstock motor, observe if the sand wheel and headstock turns in a right way.
13.2 Clean Up
The unpainted surfaces are coated with a waxy oil to protect them from corrosion during shipment. Remove this protective coating with a solvent cleaner or citrus-based degreaser. Avoid
chlorine-based solvents as they may damage painted surfaces should they come in contact. Always follow the usage instructions on the product you choose for clean up.
13.3 Site Considerations
FLOOR LOAD
Your Universal Tool Grinding represents a heavy-duty weight load in a small footprint. Most commercial or home shop floors should be sufficient to carry the weight of the Universal Tool Grinding. If you question the strength of your floor, you can opt to reinforce it. Ensure that the stand
you use with the Universal Tool Grinding is capable of supporting the machine.
WORKING CLEARANCES
Working clearances can be thought of as the distances between machines and obstacles that allow safe operation of every machine without limitation. Consider existing and anticipated machine
needs, size of material to be processed through each machine, and space for auxiliary stands
and/or work tables. Also consider the relative position of each machine to one another for efficient material handling. Be sure to allow yourself sufficient room to safely run your machines in
any foreseeable operation.
LIGHTING AND OUTLETS
Lighting should be bright enough to eliminate shadow and prevent eye strain. Electrical circuits
should be dedicated or large enough to handle combined motor amp loads. Outlets should be located near each machine so power or extension cords are not obstructing high-traffic areas. Be
sure to observe local electrical codes for proper installation of new lighting, outlets, or circuits.

14 ADJUSTMENTS
14.1 Travel of the Grinding Head
The grinding head is fixed on the pillar. The head wheel on the upper pillar can move it. When the
hand wheel is turned one circle, the head moves 2 mm. When the hand wheel is turned one division,
the head moves 0.02mm accurately.
The sand wheel axle is connected with the motor shaft. The angle of the sand wheel axle can be adjusted by the fasten lever (7).
The grinding head can be adjusted by loosening the two bolts. The safety cover can be revolved 360º
by the fasten screw (10) on the top of the cover.
14.2 Working Table
There is a 14mm wide T-type groove on the working table, on which every kind of accessory can be
fixed in a suitable position. It¹s movement can be conducted by the hand wheel (14).
The travel of the working table can be located by the positioning block(5) on the pillar side. The adjusting bolt (4) can be used to fine adjust the table. The hand wheel (14) can be used to let table
move again.
14.3 Slide
The slide can be moved 150mm forward and backward. When the hand wheel (6) is turned one circle,
the slide moves 3mm. One division on the scale shows 0.03mm movement.

15.2 Single-angular Mill Grinding
The step stem jig will be fixed on the machine. The sand
wheel is tilted down 3º--5º. The headstock moves 90º-92ºto the left and be fastened, The stop dog rest stands
up to the front cutter. The right hand indexes the cutter,
the left hand moves the working table longitudinally and
grinds cutter.
15.3 T- type Grooved Mill Grinding
The clamping accessory can be chosen for straight shank cutter. The drill sleeve can be chosen
for taper shank cutter. The drill sleeve can be put directly into the spindle hole of the headstock.
The sand wheel is tilted down 3º--10º and fastened by the back angle. The stop dog stands up to
the front cutter side. The right hand indexes the cutter, the left hand moves the working table
longitudinally and grinds cutter.

15.4 Tri-side cutter Grinding
15.4.1 Right side grinding
The step stem jig will be fixed on the machine. The stop dog rest stands up to the front side of
the cutter. The right hand indexes the cutter, the left hand moves the working table transversely
and grinds.
15.4.2 Side grinding
In order to grind the top of the
cutter, the stop dog is used to
index the cutter. The headstock spindle is tilted up 6º-8ºand be moved 83º--88º
from the left to the right and
be fastened. The right hand
indexes the cutter, the left
hand moves the working table
transversely and grinds.
If the consumer wants to
grand move than one tri-side
cutter at the same time, he
can fix them into the stem accessory and use double apex
jig to grind.
15.5 End Mill Grinding
15.5.1 External track grinding
Loose the bolt and turn the pillar(12) to right through an angle of 30º and then fasten it. Put the
end mill into the collets on the headstock. Fix the stop dog on the working table. Put the cutter
holder on the stop dog rest. Move the working table from left to right while turning the headstock
spindle and grinds.
When grinding the back angle, the sand wheel spindle and headstock spindle will be adjusted up
and down to finish grinding.
15.5.2 Blade grinding
Turn the head rest to the angle of 85º--90º, turn the pillar left through an angle of 60ºand fasten
them separately. Keep the center of sand wheel 5-10mm lower the middle of the blade as well as
keeping the blade on the horizontal position. The index scale on the tail aims at the blade. The
figured nut on the back will be locked. The working table is moved right to left and grinding is
finished.
15.6 Serrated Mill Grinding
The step stem jig or the double stem apexes jig will be used. The stop dog rest stands up to the
blade. The sand wheel spindle is tilted up 5º-10º to decide back angle. The top blade can be
grinded one by one.

15.7 Carving Tool Grinding
The cutter is set on the stem of the headstock. The headstock is turned right through an angle of
60º. The travel-positioning block is fixed on a suitable position. The motors of grinding head and
headstock will be started separately, so that the sand wheel and work piece revolve oppositely.
Use the hand wheel (6) to feed. Move the working table and grind.
15.8 Screw Tap Grinding
The apex jig and dish type wheel will be used. The cutter is fixed on the stop dog rest. The right
hand chooses the cutter tooth. The left hand moves the working table and grinds.
15.9 Twist Drill Grinding
The drill jig and plane wheel will be used. The
headstock is turned left through an angle of
55º-60º and be fastened. Put the drill into the
holder. Let the tooth plate aim at the drill
blade. Fasten the drill blade and demolish the
tooth plate. Turn the hand wheel and grind.
The diameter range of the grinding drill is Φ5Φ20.
15.10 Lathe Tool Grinding
The headstock and lathe tool holder will be used. The headstock is used to adjust the angle of the
cutter. Fasten the cutter after finishing adjusting. Move the working table and do grinding. Fasten
the cutter into the holder. Use the index headstock to adjust the back angle of the tool. Move the
working table and grind.

15.11 Reamer Grinding
The double apexes jig and dish type wheel will be used. The stop dog rest stands up to the inner
part of the blade. The right hand divides the tooth. The left hand moves the working table transversely and grinds.
15.12 Gear Hob Grinding
The stem and double apexes jig will be used. The stop dog rest stands up to the front blade. Use
two hands to operate grinding.
15.13 Pinion Cutter Grinding
The electric headstock and step stem jig will be used. Turn the pillar right through an angle of
30º. Turn the headstock left through an angle of 75º--80º and fasten it. Press the button to start
the headstock and sand wheel. Move the working table transversely and grind.
15.14 Plane Grinding
The electric-magnetic sucker plate will be fixed on the working table to do plane grinding.

sedí a jejich montáž je časově méně náročná. Originální náhradní díly zajišťují delší
životnost stroje. Obraťte se na svého prodejce.
Při objednávání dílů použijte servisní formulář, který najdete na konci tohoto návodu na
obsluhu. Vždy uvádějte typ stroje, číslo náhradního dílu a jeho název. Aby se předešlo
neshodám, doporučujeme společně s objednávkou zaslat i kopii výkresu rozpadu
náhradních dílů, na kterém Vámi požadované díly označíte.

18 ZÁRUKA
(Stav k 22.08.2014)
Záruční požadavky kupujícího vyplývající z kupní smlouvy a uplatněné u prodejce (obchodní zastoupení firmy Holzmann)
stejně jako práva vyplývající z legislativy příslušné země zůstávají tímto prohlášením nedotčeny.
Pro tento stroj platí následující záruční podmínky:
A)
Záruka zahrnuje bezplatné odstranění veškerých vad stroje, za předpokladu splnění podmínek dle bodů (B-G), které
omezují správnou funkci stroje a jsou způsobeny vadou materiálu nebo výrobní vadou
B)
Záruční doba je 12 měsíců, u komerčního použití 6 měsíců od dodání zboží prvnímu kupujícímu. K reklamaci předložte originální doklad o dodání zboží a kupní doklad v případě vlastního odběru zboží
C) Pro nahlášení reklamace kontaktujte obchodní zastoupení společnosti HOLZMANN, u kterého jste výrobek pořídili a
předložte následující doklady:
Kupní doklad/nebo doklad o dodávce zboží
Vyplněný Servisní formulář s hlášením vady
Při požadavku na dodání náhradního dílu kopii výkresu náhradních dílů s vyznačením potřebného dílu
D) Průběh řešení reklamace a místo plnění určuje společnost HOLZMANN GmbH.
Snadno odstranitelné vady budou odstraněny obchodním zastoupením, u rozsáhlejších vad si vyhrazujeme právo
na odborné posouzení na adrese sidla firmy č. 4707 Haslach, Österreich. Pokud není v servisní smlouvě explicitně
uvedeno jinak, platí, že místem pro vyřízení reklamace je sídlo společnosti HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN na adrese 4707
Haslach, Österreich. Tato záruka výrobce nekryje případné náklady na přepravu zboží do sídla firmy
E) Výluky ze záruky:

Na díly, které vykazují známky opotřebení a při vadách stroje, které jsou následkem běžného opotřebení

Při nevhodné nebo nedbalé montáži stroje, chybného uvedení do provozu příp. nevhodného připojení k elektrické

- Při nedodržení pokynů pro obsluhu stroje, nevhodném použití, nestandardních podmínkách prostředí, nevhod-
ných podmínkách pro provoz, nedostatečné údržbě a péči o stroj atd.

Při použití a/nebo zamontování neoriginálních dílů a příslušenství nebo při dodatečných úpravách, které nejsou
schváleny společností HOZMANN

U zanedbatelných odchylek výrobku od jeho popisu, přičemž tyto nemají vliv na hodnotu nebo použití stroje pro
dané účely

Při překročení zátěže stroje. Zejména při vadách způsobených přetížením stroje z důvodu jeho vytížení pro
komerční účely, pro které tento stroj nebyl zkonstruován
F) V rámci této záruky jsou další nároky kupujícího nad rámec plnění uvedeného v tomto dokumentu vyloučeny.
G)
Tyto záruční podmínky přijímá kupující ze svobodné vůle. Tato záruka vylučuje případné prodloužení záruční doby, a
to i na náhradní díly

Po uplynutí záruční doby mohou být opravy realizovány i u neautorizovaných servisních firem. K dispozici je Vám samo-

V takovém případě uplatněte Vaše nezávazné poptávky/reklamace s údaji dle bodu C) na náš zákaznický servis nebo nám

19 GUARANTEE TERMS
(applicable from 30.12.2011)
Please consult our troubleshooting section for initial problem solving. Feel free to contact your HOLZMANN
reseller or us for Customer Support!
Warranty claims based on your sales contract with your HOLZMANN retailer, including your statutory rights,
shall not be affected by this guarantee declaration. HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN grants guarantee according to
following conditions:
A) The guarantee covers the correction of deficiencies to the tool/machine, at no charge, if it can be
verified adequately that the deficiencies were caused by a material or manufacturing fault.
B) The guarantee period lasts 12 months, and is reduced to 6 months for tools in commercial use. The
guarantee period begins from the time the new tool is purchased from the first end user. The starting date is the date on the original delivery receipt, or the sales receipt in the case of pickup by the
customer.
C) Please lodge your guarantee claims to your HOLZMANN reseller you acquired the claimed tool from
with following information:
>> Original Sales receipt and/or delivery receipt
>> Service form (see next page) filed, with a sufficient deficiency report
>> for spare part claims: a copy of the respective exploded drawing with the required spare parts
being marked clear and unmistakable.
D) The Guarantee handling procedure and place of fulfillment is determined according to HOLZMANNs
sole discretion in accordance with the HOLZMANN retail partner. If there is no additional Service contract made including on-site service, the place of fulfillment is principally the HOLZMANN Service
Center in Haslach, Austria.
E) Transport charges for sendings to and from our Service Center are not covered in this guarantee.
The Guarantee does not cover:
Wear and tear parts like belts, provided tools etc., except to initial damage which has to
be claimed immediately after receipt and initial check of the machine.
Defects in the tool caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper
assembly, insufficient power supply, improper use, abnormal environmental conditions,
inappropriate operating conditions, overload or insufficient servicing or maintenance.
Damages being the causal effect of performed manipulations, changes, additions made to
the machine.
Defects caused by using accessories, components or spare parts other than original
HOLZMANN spare parts.
Slight deviations from the specified quality or slight appearance changes that do not af-
fect functionality or value of the tool.
Defects resulting from a commercial use of tools that - based on their construction and
power output - are not designed and built to be used within the frame of industrial/commercial continuous load.
F) Claims other than the right to correction of faults in the tool named in these guarantee conditions
are not covered by our guarantee.
G) This guarantee is voluntary. Therefore Services provided under guarantee do not lengthen or renew
the guarantee period for the tool or the replaced part.
SERVICE
After Guarantee and warranty expiration specialist repair shops can perform maintenance and repair jobs.
