Step
1
Create a level base using Crusher Run Stone to accommodate the 3'-5' diameter of the re pit.
Prepare an area 4' (wide) x 4' (deep).
Remove sod and vegetation.
Excavate/remove so soil as required to provide level stone surface at a minimum of 4" deep.
If required, use landscape blocks to retain stone base.
If installing optional hearth/knee wall, extend base as required.
If soil under sod is hard, soil can be leveled out and used as a base material.

Build the re pit.
Each course will use (15) multiuse landscpaing stones.
Dry stack courses 1 through 4 and check t before applying adhesive. Adjust gap and position block as needed.
Apply thin set between all pieces and courses. Apply away from the outside edge to prevent it from potentially squeezing out onto the outside between courses.
Level stones by tapping with rubber mallet as needed. Use caution to avoid squeezing thin set out from between stones.
Check to make sure each course of the re pit is level.
