Subject: Change in FM Front-end and the peripheral parts
Symptom: We changed the Front-end manufacturer due to discontinuation of production of the Front-end manufactured by KEC used for the subject models.
According to this change the Front-end and its peripheral parts will be changed as outlined in the next section.
Solution: DETAILS OF THE CHANGE, AND THE CAUTION:
•The Front-end manufactured by KEC was changed to the one manufactured by KWANG SUNG ELECTRONICS.
•Appearance of the Front-end is the same as before and pins are compatible. No
P.W. Board has been changed.
•When replacing the Front-end, the following peripheral resistors and capacitors have to be replaced since they differ before and after the replacement of the Front-end.
•Please be sure to confirm the indicated type numbers of the Front-ends RF1 and FR401, and be sure to use proper resistors and capacitors.
Note: When replacing the Front-end, confirm the indicated type number of the actually installed parts on the unit, and be sure to use proper parts corresponding to the Front-end manufacturer.
