The Cla-Val Model X60M Orifice Plate Flange Assembly is
designed for use in the Hydraulic Activation portion of a
shipboard Dry Type Magazine Sprinkler System. The Orifice
Plate is machined from Monel and has a 1/8th inch flat plate
with a single 0.098” hole. The Orifice Plate is held in the
piping with included flange assembly. An indicating tab
extends from the assembly to show the presence of the plate
and the orifice size. Two X60M Assemblies are used in typical
Dry Type Magazine Sprinkler System. One is in the Open­valve activation loop and the other is in the Closed-valve
activation loop. Water flow through the X60M to atmosphere
will visually indicate either fully charged pressure state or
automatically relieving any excess pressure build-up in valve
activation loop.
