5. Installation and operation
5.1 Installation
Positioning
Before the operation unpack the device and remove all package material and
protective foil from the device and equipment.
CAUTION!
Never remove the rating plate and any warning signs from the device.
Position the device in safe place of load capacity sufficient for weight of the device
with full content.
Never place the device on the flammable surfaces.  In order to avoid the compressor damages do not tilt the device during positioning
or transport by more than 45°.
Do not place the device in direct sunlight or in the vicinity of heat sources (cooker,
radiator, heating devices, etc.). Direct sunlight may cause changes in the acrylic surface and the heat sources have negative impact on energy consumption.
The ambient temperatures below 16°C and above 38°C may lead to limited
functionality of the device.
Ensure a minimum of 15 cm distance from walls or other objects so that the proper
air circulation is provided for cooling the compressor and condenser.
Do not place the device in places of hight air humidity. Relative air humidity at the
site of installation should be max. 70%. Higher humidity may affect device cooling performance and lead to fast frost formation in the device so that defrosting of the device is necessary more often.
Do not drill holes inside and outside, and do not mount any objects on the device. Do not place any heavy objects on the device. Set the height adjustable feet of the device so that the device is placed in a stable
position.
Position the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly
disconnected from the power supply, if necessary.
- 31 -
Connection
DANGER! Electric shock hazard!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation! Before installation and connecting the local power grid
specification should be compared with that of the device (see rating plate). Connect the device only in case of compliance!
Before you connect the device to the power supply prior to the first use, place the
device and allow at least 2 hours for the coolant circuit to stabilize and to avoid malfunctions of the device.
After a power failure or removal of the plug, do not reconnect the device to the
power supply for at least 5 minutes.
The power supply circuit with the socket must be protected by the fuse of at least 16A.
Connect the device directly to a single grounded socket. Do not use any power bar or multiple socket.
5.2 Operation
Preparation
Clean the device thoroughly before use, following the instructions in section 6
“Cleaning”. Dry the device thoroughly.
Plug the device into a single grounded socket. Set the temperature using the temperature control. Follow the instructions in section
“Temperature control”.
Insert the drinks and products into the device only when the device has reached the set
cooling capacity.
- 32 -
 The markings “MIN“, “NORMAL“, “MAX“
and “OFF“ on the temperature control indicate different temperature settings.
For settings, follow the markings above the temperature control.
In the “MIN“ position the temperature is
highest, in the “MAX“ it is lowest.
For normal use, “NORMAL“setting is
recommended. Other settings may be selected if in your opinion the setting is too low or too high.
The glass insert for up to 18 glasses is
included. It may be fixed in the upper part of the interior chamber, if required.
The maximum glass height is
- top 205 mm and
- Below 130 mm
For precooling, hang appropriate
glasses on the glass insert hook.
Temperature control
You can set the temperature using the stepless temperature control. It is located
inside the device at the rear wall
Turn the temperature control clockwise to the desired position.
Tip: Always turn the temperature control towards the arrow
(clockwise). Never turn the temperature control anticlockwise (to the left).
Before the first use or following defrosting, set the temperature to the “MAX“ position
at least 2 hours prior to inserting spirits or frozen food into the freezer.
Then, you can set a desired temperature.
Tip: The freezer requires some time to reach the desired temperature: due to higher temperature inside and higher temperature outside the time may increase significantly.
To switch off the device, set the temperature control to the “OFF“ position.
Glass insert
- 33 -
Additional shelf makes it possible to store
bottles or food in the upper rear area of the device.
The tray in the lower area of the interior
chamber prevents the objects from sliding or falling, and serves as collecting tray for crumbs, ice, etc.
The tray is removable and easy to clean.
Additional shelf and tray
Operating instructions
The device is intended for precooling glasses or freezing spirits and small amounts
of food.
The purchased frozen food should be placed into the freezer as fast as possible.
Pay attention to the instructions on the packaging and do not exceed the recommended storage time.
Do not place hot food into the freezer, first let it cool down to room temperature. Do not overload the device, the overload cause the compressor to work longer.
The food that freezes too slowly may deteriorate or perish.
Make sure that the food is properly packed and wipe the containers dry before
placing them into the device. It reduces ice formation inside the device.
The more filled-in bottles in the freezer, the longer the door kept open, the higher
energy consumption.
To limit the loss in the device efficiency, reduce the door opening time to the
minimum. Also, do not open the door too frequently.
- 34 -
Place and name the food to reduce the door opening and long search. Remove as
many products as required at the same time, and close the door as fast as possible.
Do not cover the shelf with aluminium foil, wax paper or paper towel, the air
circulation is discrupted and cooling capacity is lower.
In the event of an unexpected power outage, do not open the door, if possible, to
avoid cooling air loss. Most power outages are dealt with within a few hours and they should not have an impact on the device temperature, if door opening is kept to a minimum or avoided. If the power outage lasts for longer necessary actions should be taken to protect the stored food from perishing, e.g. to store it temporarily in another device or cook and eat it in the short time.
Following the event of a power outage or unplugging, do not connect the freezer to
the power supply for at least 5 minutes.
When the device is not in use for less than 3 weeks, do not switch off the device.
When the device is not going to be used for several months, disconnect the device from the power supply (unplug!) and remove all the products. Clean the device thoroughtly and dry the interior chamber of the device. To avoid unpleasant odour and mould formation, leave the door slightly open.
When transporting the device or moving it elsewhere, follow the instructions below:
- Disconnect the device from the power supply;
- Remove all food products;
- Affix all the lose parts in the device;
- Seal the door with use of adhesive tape;
- Make sure that the device stands straight when transported.
- 35 -
Defrost
CAUTION!
Do not use boiling water for defrosting because it may damage plastic parts of the device.
Never use sharp or metal objects to remove ice because they may damage the cooling system.
For the best performance and lowest energy consumption, with excessive frost
formation on the wall of the evaporator or with 6 mm ice layer you should defrost the device.
To start defrost, turn the temperature control to the “OFF" position and unplug the
device.
Remove all food products, drinks, etc., from the device and place them in another
freezer or refrigerator for the time of defrost to prevent perishing.
Remove the glasses, glass insert and shelf (if were in use) from the device.
Leave the door of the device open until the ice thaws. Collect the melted ice water
with sponge or towel.
Clean the device according to the instructions in section 6 “Cleaning“. Thoroughly
dry the interior chamber.
Then, you may start using the device again. Follow the instructions set forth in
chapter 5.2 “Operation / Temperature control“.
- 36 -
6. Cleaning
WARNING!
Before cleaning disconnect the device from the power supply (pull the plug out the socket!).
Do not use pressurized water jest for cleaning! Protect the device from the water penetration.
CAUTION!
Never clean the parts of the device with flammable liquids Vapours may cause fire or explosion.
Never use hot water to clean the device! Never use aggressive cleaning agents, e.g. scouring powder, alcohol
containing cleaning agents or alkaline cleaning agents, solvents, benzine, that might damage the surface of the device.
o Clean the device regularly. o Remove all the products from the freezer. o Clean the freezer inside and outside with a soft cloth and warm water with a hint of
baking powder: the solution should include about 2 table spoons of baking powder for a litre of water. All the cleaned surfaces should be rinsed with clear water.
o Clean the door seal regularly with a soft, damp cloth. o Clean the glass insert and shelf with warm water and a mild cleaning agent.
Rinse with clear water.
o Finally, thoroughly dry all cleaned surfaces and accessory parts.
