Important safety instructions: Read carefully & keep for future reference
To avoid the danger of fire
The microwaveovenshould not be left unattended duringoperation.
Power levelsthat are too high or cooking timesthat are too long may overheat foods resultingin a fire.
The electrical outlet must be readily accessible so that the unit can be unplugged easily in an emergency.
The AC power supplymust be 240 V, 50 Hz, with a minimum15 A
distribution line fuse, or a minimum 15 A distribution circuit breaker.
Itisrecommendedthata separatecircuit serving onlythisappliance be provided.
Do notstoreor usetheovenoutdoors.
Iffoodbeingheatedbeginsto smoke, DONOTOPENTHE DOOR. Turnoffandunplugtheovenandwait until the food hasstoppedsmoking. Openingthedoorwhilefoodis smokingmaycausea fire.
Only usemicrowave-safe containersandutensils.
Donotleave theoven unattended when usingdisposableplastic, paper orothercombustible foodcontainers.
Cleanthewaveguidecover,the oven cavity,theturntableand turntablesupport afteruse.These mustbedryand freefromgrease. Built-upgrease mayoverheat and beginto smokeorcatchfire.
Do not place flammablematerialsnear the ovenor ventilationopenings.Do not block the ventilationopenings.
Remove all metallicseals,wiretwists, etc.,fromfoodand food packages.Arcing on metallic surfacesmaycause a fire.
Do notusethe microwave oven to heat oilfor deep frying. Thetemperature cannot be controlled and theoil may catchfire.
To make popcorn, only usespecial microwave popcorn makers.
Do notstore foodor anyother items inside the oven.
Check thesettingsafteryou start the oven to ensure theoven is operatingas desired.

To avoid the possibility of injury
Warning:Donot operatetheoven if it is damagedormalfunctioning. Check the followingbeforeuse:
a)The door; make surethedoor closes properly and ensure itis not misalignedor warped.
b)The hinges and doorsafetylatches; checktomakesuretheyarenot broken or loose.
c)The doorseals and sealing surfaces; ensure that theyhave not beendamaged.
d)Insidetheoven cavityor on the door;make suretherearenodents.
e)The powersupplycordand plug; ensurethat they arenot damaged. Never adjust,repair ormodifythe
oven yourself. Itis hazardousfor anyoneotherthana competent person to carryoutany serviceor repair operation whichinvolvesthe removal of a coverwhich gives protectionagainst exposureto microwave energy.

To avoid the possibility of electric shock
Under no circumstanceshould you remove the outercabinet.
Never spill or insertanyobjectsinto the door lock openings or ventilationopenings. In the event of a spill,turnoffandunplug the oven immediatelyandcallan authorised ELECTROLUX serviceagent.
Do not immersethepowersupply cord or plug in wateror anyotherliquid.Do not allow the powersupplycordto runover any hotor sharpsurfaces,suchas thehotair vent area at thetop rearof theoven.
Do not attemptto replacetheoven lamp yourselfor allowanyonewho is not authorisedby ELECTROLUXto do so.If the oven lamp fails,pleaseconsultyourdealer or call an authorised ELECTROLUXservice agent.
If the powersupplycordof this appliance is damaged,it mustbe replaced with a specialcord.Theexchangemustbe made by an authorisedELECTROLUX service agent.
To avoid the possibility of explosion and sudden boiling
Warning: Liquids andother foods must notbeheated insealed containers since they are liabletoexplode.
Never use sealedcontainers. Remove seals and lids before use.Sealed containers canexplodedue to a build up of pressure even aftertheoven has been turned off.
Take care whenmicrowaving liquids. Use a wide-mouthedcontainerto allow bubbles to escape.
Microwaveheatingof beverages canresult in delayed eruptive boiling, thereforecarehas tobetakenwhen handling the container.
To preventsudden eruption of boiling liquid and possible scalding:
1.Stirliquidpriorto heating/reheating.
2.It is advisable to inserta glassrod or similar utensilinto theliquidwhilst reheating.
3.Let liquid stand forat least20 seconds in theovenat theend of cooking timeto prevent delayed eruptive boiling.
Donot cook eggs intheir shells andwhole hardboiledeggs should not be heatedin microwaveovens sincetheymay explodeevenafter microwave cookinghas ended. To cookor reheat eggswhichhave not beenscrambledor mixed, piercethe yolksandthewhites,or the eggs may explode. Shellandslicehardboiled eggsbefore reheatingthemin the microwave oven.
Pierce the skin of such foods as potatoes, sausages and fruit before cooking, or they may explode.
To avoid the possibility of burns
Usepotholdersor ovengloveswhen removingfood from the oventoprevent burns.
Alwaysopencontainers, popcorn makers, ovencookingbags,etc.,away from the face andhandstoavoidsteamburns.
To avoidburns,alwaystest food temperatureandstirbeforeserving andpay specialattentionto the temperatureoffoodanddrink given tobabies,childrenortheelderly.
Temperatureofthecontainer is nota trueindicationofthetemperatureofthe food ordrink;alwayscheckthefoodtemperature. Alwaysstandbackfromthe ovendoor when opening toavoidburnsfromescaping
steamandheat.
Slicestuffed bakedfoodsafterheating to releasesteamandavoidburns.
Keepchildrenawayfrom the doorand accessiblepartsthatmaybecomehotwhen the grillis inuse. Childrenshouldbekept awaytopreventthemburningthemselves.
Donottouchtheovendoor,outer cabinet,rearcabinet,ovencavity, ventilation openings,accessoriesanddishesduring GRILLmode,DUALGRILLmode and AUTOCOOKoperationastheywillbecome hot. Before cleaning makesuretheyarenot hot.
To avoid misuse by children
Warning: Onlyallow childrento use theoven withoutsupervisionwhen adequateinstructionshavebeengiven so thatthechildis able tousetheoven ina safewayandunderstandsthe hazards ofimproperuse.
This applianceis not intendedforuse by persons(including children)with reduced physical,sensoryor mental capabilities, or lackof experienceand knowledge,unlesstheyhavebeengiven supervision or instructionconcerning use of the appliance by a personresponsibile for their safety.

Children should be supervisedto ensure that they do notplaywiththeappliance.
Do not leanor swing on theoven door. Do notplaywiththeoven or useit as a toy.
Children should be taughtallimportant safety instructions:useof pot holders, careful removal of foodcoverings;paying special attention to packaging (e.g. selfheatingmaterials) designed to make food crisp, as they may be extrahot.
Other warnings
Never modify theoven inanyway. Thisoven isfor homefoodpreparation onlyand mayonlybe usedforcooking food.Itisnot suitablefor commercial or laboratory use.
To promote trouble-free use of your oven and avoid damage
Never operatetheoven whenit is empty exceptwhererecommended in the operation manual, seepage16 note2. Doing so maydamagetheoven.
When using a browning dish or selfheatingmaterial,always placea heatresistant insulatorsuchas a porcelain plate under it to preventdamageto theturntable and turntable support due to heatstress. Thepreheatingtime specified in thedish’s instructionsmustnotbe exceeded.
Do not usemetalutensils, whichreflect microwaves andmay cause electrical arcing. Do notput cansin theoven.
Only use theturntable andtheturntable supportdesigned forthisoven. Do not operate theoven withoutthe turntable.
To prevent the turntable frombreaking:
a)Before cleaning theturntablewith water, leave theturntable to cool.
b)Do not puthot foodsor hotutensils on a cold turntable.

c)Do not put coldfoodsor cold utensils on a hot turntable.
Do not place anythingon theoutercabinet during operation.
Do not useplasticcontainersfor microwavingif theovenis stillhotfrom using the GRILL mode,DUAL GRILL mode and AUTOCOOKoperationbecausethey may melt. Plasticcontainersmustnotbe used duringabovemodesunlessthe container manufacturersaystheyare suitable.
Important:
Ifyouareunsurehowtoconnect youroven, pleaseconsultanauthorised,qualified electrician.
Neitherthemanufacturernorthedealer canacceptany liabilityfordamagetothe ovenorpersonalinjuryresulting fromfailure toobservethecorrect electricalconnection procedure.
Watervapourordrops mayoccasionally form ontheovenwalls oraroundthedoor seals andsealing surfaces.This isa normal occurrence and isnotanindicationof microwaveleakageora malfunction.

Check to make sure the following accessories are provided:
(1) Turntable (2) Turntable support
(3) High rack (4) Low rack
(5) 4 fixing screws (not shown)
•Place the turntable support in the seal packing on the floor of the cavity.
•Then place the turntable on the turntable support.
•To avoid turntable damage, ensure dishes or containers are lifted clear of the turntable rim when removing them from the oven.
Important:
When you order accessories, please mention two items: part name and model name to your dealer or an authorised ELECTROLUX service agent.

Before first use
Econ mode
The oven is set in ‘ENERGY SAVE’ mode (‘Econ’).
1.Plug in the oven.
2.The display will be blank.
3.Open the door and the power comes on.
4.Close the door and ‘Econ’ will be displayed.
5.The display will count down from 3:00 to zero.
6.When zero is reached, the oven goes into ‘Econ’ mode and the display goes blank.
7.To cancel ‘Econ’ mode, set the clock.
8.To set ‘Econ’ mode when the clock is set, open the door, press start for 5 seconds, press stop then close the door.
Setting the clock
The oven has a 12 hour clock. Example: To set the clock to 11:30.
1.Plug in the oven.
2.The display will be blank.
3.Open the door and the power comes on.
4.Whilst the door is open, rotate the TIMER/WEIGHT knob to adjust the hour.
5.Press the START/+30 button once then rotate the TIMER/WEIGHT knob to adjust the minutes.
6.Press the START/+30 button.
7.Check the display:

Important:
1.You can rotate the TIMER/WEIGHT knob clockwise or anti-clockwise.
2.ENERGY SAVE mode cannot be set when the clock is set.

Adjusting the time when the clock is set or oven is in ‘Econ’ mode
Example: To set the clock to 12:45.
1.Open the door.
2.Press and hold the START/+30 button for 5 seconds. The oven will beep. Rotate the TIMER/WEIGHT knob to adjust the hour.
3.Press the START/+30 button once then rotate the TIMER/WEIGHT knob to adjust the minutes.
4.Press the START/+30 button.
5.Check the display:
Using the STOP button
Use the STOP button to:
1.Erase a mistake duringprogramming.
2.Stop the oven temporarily during cooking, press once.
3.Cancela programmeduringcooking,
touch twice.
Child safety lock
The oven has a safety feature which prevents the accidental running of the oven by a child. When the lock has been set, no part of the microwave will operate until the lock feature has been cancelled.
Example: To set the child safety lock.
1.Press and hold the stop button for 5 seconds.
The oven will beep twice and ‘LOC’ will be displayed:
Note:
•To cancel the child safety lock, press and hold the stop button for 5 seconds, the oven will beep twice and the time of day will be displayed.
•Child safety lock cannot be set if the clock is not set.

Microwave cooking advice
To cook/defrostfoodin a microwave oven, themicrowave energymust be able to pass throughthecontainerto penetrate thefood. Thereforeit is importantto choose suitablecookware.
Round/ovaldishesare preferableto square/oblongones, as thefoodin the corners tendsto overcook.
It is important to turn, rearrangeor stir food to ensureeven heating.
Standingtimeis necessary after cooking, as it enables theheat to disperse equallythroughout thefood.
