2.1 Warning and safety notices
Danger Attention
Never use a naked flame to check the appliance for leaks.
Protect children!
When disposing of the refrigerator, remove all refrigerator doors and leave the storage rack in the refrigerator. This will prevent accidental locking in or suffocation.
If you smell gas:
-close the locking tap of the gas supply and the valve on the cylinder.
-open the windows and leave the room.
-do not switch on anything electrical.
-extinguish naked flames.
Never open the cooling unit; it is under high pressure.
Work on the gas, flue system and electrical components must only be carried out by authorised service personnel.
It is imperative that the operating pressure should correspond to the data given on the model plate of the appliance.
Compare the operating pressure data given on the model plate with the data on the pressure monitor of the liquid gas cylinder.
Liquid gas cylinders may only be changed by qualified personnel.
Gas operation of the appliance is not permitted while travelling on ferries.
Covers ensure electrical safety and must only be removed using a tool.

2.2Coolant
Ammonia is used as a coolant.
This is a natural compound also used in household cleaning agents (1 litre of Salmiak cleaner contains up to 200g of ammonia - about twice as much as is used in
the refrigerator). Sodium chromate is used for corrosion protection (less than 2% of the coolant).
In the event of leakage (easily identifiable from the unpleasant odour):
switch off the appliance.
air the room thoroughly.
inform the authorised Customer Service department.

5.0REFRIGERATOR GUIDE
5.1Cleaning
Before using the refrigerator, it is advisable to clean the appliance both inside and out.
Use a soft cloth and lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
Then rinse the appliance with clean water and dry thoroughly.
Remove dust from the refrigerator unit at yearly intervals using a brush or soft cloth.
To avoid deterioration of materials:
Do not use soap or hard, abrasive or soda-based cleaning agents.
Do not allow the door seal to come into contact with oil or grease.
5
5.2Using the refrigerator
The refrigerator is silent in operation.
When the appliance is first put into operation, there may be a mild odour which will disappear after a few hours. Ensure the living area is well ventilated.
The freezer compartment should be cold about one hour after switching on the refrigerator.
The refrigerator will take several hours to reach its operating temperature.
5.2.1Display Module
A B D
C E
A = main On/Off switch
B = AES operating display
green: refrigerator is working red flashing: refrigerator is not cooling
C = under voltage LED, yellow D = temperature setting sensor E = temperature setting display
Note:
The refrigerator is equipped with an automatic energy selection system (AES). When the refrigerator is switched on, the system selects the available energy source in the order : 1.) 230-240V ~
2.) 12V -
3.) liquid gas
The AES refrigerator requires an additional constant 12Vpower supply to power the electronic control system.
Operation via 24V machine's mains is not possible.
6
5.2.2Switching on
The refrigerator must be operated exclusively with liquid gas (propane, butane).
1.Open the valve of the gas cylinder
2.Open the shut-off valve to the gas supply.
AB
3. Push main switch (A).
The AES operating display (B) lights up green.
ED
4. Set the desired refrigeration temperature using sensor (D).
The LEDs (E) show the thermostat setting selected.
5.2.3Gas operation
Operation using gas is prohibited in petrol stations.
The refrigerator must exclusively be operated using liquid gas
(propane, butane).
Gas operation is selected in the following circumstances:
No supply voltage available.
The vehicle engine is not running.
Supply voltage less than 200V, or battery voltage less than 11V
When the system chooses LP-Gas operation, the flame failure device is automatically opened, allowing gas to flow to the burner. At the same time, the electronic igniter is energized.
If the flame is blown out (by a gust of wind, for example), the reigniter responds immediately and reignites the gas.
After initial installation, servicing, or changing gas cylinders etc., the gas pipes may contain some air that should be allowed to escape by briefly turning on the refrigerator or other gas appliances e.g. cooker. This will ensure that the flame lights immediately.
7
5.2.4Gas faults
AB
In the event of a gas fault (e.g. gas cylinder empty), a red light flashes on the AES operating display (B).
The appliance is not cooling!
Troubleshooting:
Set main switch (A) to “off”.
1.Is there any gas in the gas bottle?
2.Is the gas bottle valve open?
3.Is the on-board shut-off valve open? If ok then go to point 4
4.Set the main switch (A) to “on”
The AES attempts reignition again after about 10 seconds.
If after about 30 seconds the AES operating display (C) starts flashing red again, the gas fault has not been cleared (e.g. air in the gas pipe).
5. Briefly switch the refrigerator off and then on again using main switch (A). To remove air from the gas pipes, repeat this procedure 3-4 times.
If these actions do not help, please call an authorised Dometic Service centre.
If a gas operation fault arises and is not noticed before the refrigerator switches to, say, 230V mode because of a priority change, the AES LED (B) will light up green again, provided that the cooling function is re-activated. However, the
next time it is desired to change to gas operation mode, the fault will once again be displayed and gas operation will not start, because statutory provisions prohibit automatic re-setting of the appliance.
5.2.5230V operation
If sufficient supply voltage is available (more than 200V), this power source is selected as the first option.
FOR THIS POWER OPTION, TOO, THE 12V CONTINUOUS SUPPLY IS NEEDED IN ORDER FOR THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM TO OPERATE.
5.2.612V - operation
The AES will only select 12V operation if the vehicle engine is running and a voltage higher than 11V is present. (This is detected via the electronic D+ connection).
8
5.2.7Switching over / time delays
There are some built-in time delays when switching between power supply options.

15 min. (cf. refuelling stop)
12V
approx. 20sec.
Refuelling stop: In order to prevent unintended switching to gas operation
during refuelling, the AES electronic system starts gas operation of the refrigerator, after the motor has been turned off for 15 min.
The use of naked flames is prohibited in petrol station environments.
If the refuelling stop lasts longer than 15 min., the refrigerator should be switched off at the main switch (A).
5.2.8Undervoltage operation
If the electrical supply voltage in 230V or 12V operation is not sufficient to maintain the cooling function, the AES switches to gas operation.
This state is signalled by the undervoltage LED (C, yellow) lighting up. If gas operation is selected due to undervoltage, the refrigerator remains in gas C
operation for 30 min., in order to prevent continual switching back and forth between power modes. After 30 min. of gas operation, the electronic system checks the available voltage at regular intervals. If the supply voltage is sufficient again, the
refrigerator switches back to 230V or 12V operation as the case may be.
5.3Switching off
2. Secure the door open by means of the door stop. The door will be slightly ajar.
1.Set main switch (A) to the “off” position.
Switching off gas operation!
If the refrigerator is to be taken out of service for an extended period of time, the on-board shut-off valve and the cylinder valve must be closed.
