The 3M™ Direct Bury Splice Kit DBO/B-6 is used to electrically connect two or more pre–
stripped copper wires and moisture seal the connection for direct burial.

The kit includes a 3M™ Performance Plus Wire Connector O/B+ and a high impact, UV­resistant polypropylene tube prefilled with moisture-resistant grease.

Meets requirements of: UL Standard 486D
C UL US Listed, File No. E102356

Listed for use in wet, damp, direct bury and submersible locations with UF type cable

Installation Instructions

Warning

Turn power off before installing or removing connector. All electrical work should
be done according to appropriate electrical codes.

5/8” (15,0 mm) - 18-16 AWG
1/2” (12,7 mm) - 14-12 AWG

Installation Tip:
If having difficulty pushing the connector to the bottom of the tube, use a rigid, thin piece of non-

conductive material to help push the connector down. Once the connector is on the bottom, remove the
material and fill in any voids left in the grease.

manufacture when stored in a humidity controlled storage (10°C/50°F to 27°C/80°F
and <75% relative humidity).
